18th July here hopefully! Mostly have a bad back, no other symptoms but I know they are coming soon !

ChrissyAero · 12/11/2021 13:20

Yes, I had a decaf latte in a cafe the other day and it was horrible. I'll need to try to find a decent one. 😂

I am forgetful at the best of times so I am hoping this symptom skips me by haha.

TryingToNotTry · 12/11/2021 13:24

Yeah, the literature seems torn on coffee. I guess since I had a CP before I just want to take more precautions in the first trimester but I may explore the 1 allowable a day in the future, let's see!

Thanks @camvt, that's good to know :-). Also @Amey91, I don't feel anything in my boobs either and I am big busted, so maybe with time for both of us.

Chh0412 · 12/11/2021 13:33

@Tinypeanut1224 I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of love. X

Chh0412 · 12/11/2021 13:34

Hi girlies.
Thank you so much for all your comments 😘
My 10.15 blood test appt has turned into me leaving the hospital at 13.25!
They couldn’t get blood from me so several doctors later they got it from inbetween two of my knuckles 🤢
My HCG levels on Wednesday where in the 700s and today are in the 2000s so they think the pregnancy is in the correct place. They can’t 100% rule out an ectopic until the scan on Wednesday but numbers indicate it isn’t.
I’ve i get heavier bleeding or any pelvic pain I have to go to A&E.
Fingers crossed on Wednesday we see our little Bean as a blob as I should be between 6-7weeks. X x x

camvt · 12/11/2021 14:19

@Chh0412 I think they just need to say they can't rule it out, but it sounds very much like great news! Fingers crossed for Weds, I'm sure it will be brilliant!

@missv556 I have lost several items since I got pregnant! I'm not usually like this. So distracted and can't think straight!

Elsols93 · 12/11/2021 14:21

Iv just got my 12 week scan it feels like a life time away 22nd of December a whole 5 weeks 🙃 don’t no if I can wait that long might hook a cheeky scan in between 😂 xxx

Lostintranslatio · 12/11/2021 14:34

@Elsols93 I also got my 12w appointment on the 21st of December (I will be 12+6 though, I hope that is OK) and it feels ages away. We want to book for an ntpi in a few weeks time so we will be seeing it then.

al1n · 12/11/2021 14:39

@Christi331 I did it the whole way through my previous pregnancy. Means you get a little perk twice a day!

ChrissyAero · 12/11/2021 14:39

@Elsols93 mine is on the 23rd December! I don't think I can wait that long either haha

Elsols93 · 12/11/2021 14:52

@Lostintranslatio yeah that will be fine with my last pregnancy I had mine done at exactly 12 weeks 6 days they like to do in between 11-13 weeks xxx

@ChrissyAero I might just book one for in 3 weeks only £60 I no my partner will say I’m being crazy but I just like to be in the no 😂 xx

Elsols93 · 12/11/2021 14:54

Iv just realised i will be 12weeks 6 days in my scan too @Lostintranslatio

missv556 · 12/11/2021 15:03

@Elsols93 it's a small price to pay to get to see the little one. I'd have paid £100 haha

Rainbow123456789 · 12/11/2021 15:12

Right sorry I have a question, I know we’re ages away but random thoughts keep popping up and I don’t know the answers lol.
Btw I have had no contact or relationships with anyone’s babies so I havnt had the opportunity to watch and learn, so please bear with me if some of the questions are obvious to you …
Okay so the few I’ve thought of is

  1. After you’ve change dirty nappy, where would it go? I’ve briefly seen somthing about nappy bins but isn’t that abit …idk, idk how I feel about having a bin full of poop in babies room?! But you obvs couldn’t take it outside to get rid of it… like, what are you meant to do?
  2. Is it worth having some sort of rocking chair or just comfy chair in the room and does it have to rock? My husband prefers rocking chairs like I’d imagine a elderly man to have! His garden chair is a rocking chair and I’ve probably fell off chairs too many times that i just don’t like them, I feel like I’m gonna fall off. So any advice on that would be good.
  3. Is it best to have baby sleeping in our room when it’s born? In its own crib of course, but then it makes me go back to , why would we need a chair in the other room when babies in our room? And the babies stuff is in the other room so would we have baby sleep in our room but then take it into other room to feed and change and then bring back into ours?
  4. This deffo seem silly but idk why but I was under the impression everyone finds out baby gender at 12 week scan? I don’t know why I thought this. But from what I’ve read online this isn’t right is it? It’s the later scan :(

Sorry, I know there’s a lot there and bear with me, I wasn’t involved in my friends babies when they were young and I have 0 experience with any of this so I know they might seem like stupid questions but if you’ve never done it before how you supposed to know?

Rainbow123456789 · 12/11/2021 15:15

@Lostintranslatio
Hi sorry I’ve seen a few posts where people say I’m 12&6 or other numbers, what does it mean?

Lostintranslatio · 12/11/2021 15:19

@Rainbow123456789 it's is the gestational age. I am right now 7 weeks and 2 days pregnant, starting to count from my last period date.

al1n · 12/11/2021 15:32

@Rainbow123456789 briefly,

  1. They poop a LOT! If you can pop to your outside bin easily that's fine, many can't
  2. Your choice!
  3. Baby in your room til 6 months minimum. All sleep supervised for first 6 months
  4. There are theories of how to read gender at 12 weeks but it's better to wait til around 15/16 weeks for private or get it free at 20 week scan!
annie1994 · 12/11/2021 15:43

@Rainbow123456789 don’t worry I had all these questions with my last child(he’s 14mo now!)

  1. When they are newborn they do poo a lot so you could get a nappy bin but we just bagged it up and put it straight in our black bin. Part of me thinks maybe I will buy a nappy bin for this kid? They have special way to keep the smell in.
  1. We never had the space for a rocking chair so I always brought my DS to the living room for night feeds. But if you have space and the money then go for it!
  1. To lower the risk of cot death they advise the baby sleeping int he same room as you for the first 6 months. We have a next 2 me crib and I loved it. When he woke for a night feed I would just take him to our living room, change and feed him there. Then try and get them back to sleep so when you go back to your room they are asleep (hopefully!! 😂)
  1. On the NHS you don’t find out the gender till 20 weeks scan. You can find out privately from 16 weeks. We did this at 16 weeks we went to Window to the Womb - but that’s because we were impatient!

Hope this helps x

jasmine88woo · 12/11/2021 15:50

Hi all. After 2yrs of trying, numerous infertility tests and appointments and finally being referred for IVF, my partner and I found out we were expecting a few weeks ago. We had the IVF referral come through on the Friday stating that our chosen clinic would contact us within 12weeks to start the process.... I did a test on Saturday morning and low and behold it was positive!
I've done 10 tests since and they just keep getting stronger. I am now 6weeks pregnant and have my first midwife 'booking in' appointment (by phone) on weds.
It's all starting to feel real and exciting now!

@annie1994

I don’t think I want to go outside every time :/ (im lazy) and I’m being honest so I can work out what’s gonna work best for us… hhmmm maybe a nappy bin would be okay then? I can just make husband empty it haha!

We do have space and I do think my husband wants one, I just wasn’t sure. I have two little chihuahua/jack ruseel mix doggies, most of the time they sleep on the couch so I don’t think I’d wanna go downstairs and bother them (I know they’ll wake up when baby cries but you know what I mean) so yeah seems like a okay idea getting a chair.

Our bedroom isn’t the biggest, what would you have the baby sleep in, in your room? Would you have their proper cot thing in your room? On my side their is a radiator with window above that and on other side of the bed is door to en-suite so it’d have to be at the foot on the bed, would that be okay still?

I think i will end up doing the 16 week private one haha I wanna know now tbh. I’m not hoping for either gender, but I think I would do a better job with a girl (my entire family is girls).

Thank you for answering! I feel abit better now.
My husband doesn’t want us to tell anyone (don’t know why havnt had a chance to delve deeper into that convo yet) but I asked him what he thinks we need to do now we’ve found out we’re pregnant and he’s like “idk”, I said exactly, that’s why we need at least just 1 person each to help guide us (not going to take everyone’s opinion to heart) but it’s good to have people to talk about things and get advice.

annie1994 · 12/11/2021 16:13

@Rainbow123456789
Maybe try a nappy bin and rocking chair/ armchair then!

We have a next 2 me crib which is smaller than an actual cot. They have like a mesh side so you can see through it - but It doesn’t have to next to your bed if there isn’t space. Some people use Moses baskets but they grow out of them quite quickly but does mean you can bring it to whoever room your in.

Haha we are definitely finding out gender at 16 weeks! But that’s just personal preference Smile

camvt · 12/11/2021 17:55

@jasmine88woo I'm sorry you had such a tough journey to get here, but what a fantastic thing to happen!!!! I'm really happy for you! Congrats xxx

Nicola1201 · 12/11/2021 18:26

Hi all
Im 6w2d and just hoping it lasts. This will be my 2nd and my 1st is only 10 months old so its all a bit strange this time round. Having sickness and looking after a toddler is not fun!!!
Just thought id say hi!

jasmine88woo · 12/11/2021 18:52

@camvt
Thank you so much! We are ecstatic!
Really wasn't expecting it as we had resigned ourselves to IVF being our only option.
Got everything crossed we can make it full term and that it stays safe and sound in there now Smile xx

jasmine88woo · 12/11/2021 18:53

@Nicola1201
