Anyone else got a + tests lately I got mine yesterday and then another today. Got a few more test to doing over the next week to see if they get darker.

Hope to have some more July ladies join me there is a few of us on the June thread and Facebook group already I'll try to tag you ladies Xxx

Morning everyone. Busy day yesterday. I was out shopping yesterday with my friend. She had a little boy 6 months ago so of course we looked at baby stuff. Just wanted to buy all of the things 😂 but I'm not buying anything until past 12 weeks. It's hard cos we don't know the gender so it would all have to be neutral colours until we knew for sure. Same with names. Got a shortlist of about 3 names for each gender lol

missv556 · 07/11/2021 06:37

Will anyone be having a flu jab this winter? Idk what to do really. In 2 minds

feliznavidad2 · 07/11/2021 06:51

@missv556 I have had it already as a health care professional but would have it even if I wasn't - it's a personal decision though. What are your concerns about it?

There's some clear information about it here: www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/keeping-well/flu-jab/

Trinxsy · 07/11/2021 06:52

Currently on way to scan to see if baby is in right place!! Wish me luck!

feliznavidad2 · 07/11/2021 06:59

Good luck @Trinxsy hope you get positive news

missv556 · 07/11/2021 07:00

@feliznavidad2 never had a flu jab before so I guess it's apprehension of the unknown. And of course fear of harm for bub. I just want to do the right thing you know. I was sus about having the covid vaccine as well tbf as I'd heard the stuff about it causing infertility but evidently that was bs cos I'm indeed fertile 🤣 vaccines do make me a bit nervy

feliznavidad2 · 07/11/2021 07:09

I get it @missv556 it's hard to know what to do with things like this, let alone when you're thinking about your pregnancy and the impact upon something so precious to you. I'd say discuss it with a pharmacist, GP or your midwife for specific queries as they will be best placed to answer you. x

missv556 · 07/11/2021 07:13

Just so happens that my sister is a midwife! I will ask her later, she's probably still asleep like I would like to be lol

feliznavidad2 · 07/11/2021 07:16

@missv556 same 😴 🥱 that's great having a sister who is a midwife!

missv556 · 07/11/2021 07:27

@feliznavidad2 she already knows she'll be asked all the questions for the next 9 months 🤣🤣 she's excited for her first niece/nephew though. She has 2 kids but the youngest is 14 so been a long time since we've had a baby in the family

Trinxsy · 07/11/2021 09:42

Sac is in right place! Bit early to see anything else and measuring at just under 5 weeks (I'm 5+1 I think) but looking good so far!

dreamingofstars · 07/11/2021 10:17

Hello everyone, pregnant with second baby. We have a DD who is 2.5 years. According to LMP (28/09) I am due around mid July. I know I didn’t ovulate till quite late.. and conceived in what would have been a longer cycle I think. So who knows! Early days so just going with the flow. Previous pregnancy I was diagnosed with sudden pre eclampsia in labour so am a little nervous and had in the end a CS with DD. Hope everyone’s well x

feliznavidad2 · 07/11/2021 10:19

Good news @Trinxsy

Welcome on board! Hope you're feeling OK!

Your story sounds remarkably similar to mine!

My DD was born in Feb 19. I was induced, but ended up being diagnosed with sudden onset PreE with severe features and ended up as a general anaesthetic C section.

Effram · 07/11/2021 16:43

Hello all! Hope good weekends have been had by all!

@missv556 I'm definitely having the flu vaccine. It's recommended, having a fever can be a risk to baby but there's no risk of the jab. So no brainer for me. As well as the thought of having flu on top of pregnancy symptoms... No thanks!

xck1x · 07/11/2021 18:42

I'm also booked in for the flu jab - my gp can't give me a slot until December though so might try and arrange separately through a pharmacy x

Maddie2802 · 07/11/2021 18:51

I've had the flu jab during the TWW, felt fine after 😊 I got mine at Tesco pharmacy and was only £9 I think!

Hi everyone,
I just found out I'm pregnant this morning. It's my first pregnancy and it was our first month of trying so pretty shocked that it's happened so soon! The online calculators are coming back with a due date of around 17/18th July so I think that makes me about 4 weeks? I'm very new to all this so no clue what to expect!

Lucylulu1 · 07/11/2021 21:37

Welcome @MSJK, this is my first pregnancy too and all very new. I've found the ladies on here are super nice and helpful, so you are in good hands. How are you feeling so far?

Hi @Lucylulu1

I'm doing well thanks. I think I twigged last night when I was whinging to a friend about not being able to sleep, her reaction said it all!! Other than lack of sleep, I'm feeling fine! Definitely had tender boobs and have felt like my abdomen is a bit heavy/achy. How about you?

laurenGame · 08/11/2021 04:21

Still spotting here, brown or lighter, day 6 now! Prepared for the worst for the scan on weds but feel ok (well as much as I can be); I'll be 7 weeks then.

Literally going to be the most anticipated 48 hour countdown of my life 🤣

Has anyone told outside their close family yet? X

Definitely would recommend getting the flu jab, a close friend of mine had flu in her 2nd trimester and ended up in hospital with it, she was so unwell.
Your immune system doesn't work at full strength in pregnancy hence you are offered the flu jab for extra protection during this time you are vulnerable. No harm to baby whatsoever and helps keep you well.

Elsols93 · 08/11/2021 09:26

@laurenGame how everything goes well spotting seems to be quite normal at this stage so fingers crossed❤️ we are about a day apart ❤️

My morning sickness officially started today been nauseous for a week so bad at nighttime but actually have been sick today was never sick with my DS xx

Hope everyone is well xx
