Hi ladies. Starting our final thread! How exciting.

@bubbles1st do you have your latest list of due dates to add to here?

@Mamabearwhere first pregnancy, I was losing jelly like/plug type substance for 4-5 days when I wiped before labour started.
I’ve definitely had more discharge in the last week (I’m 39 weeks now), but it doesn’t look plug like to me.
The last two days; I’ve been so sore and achey. Definitely on the countdown to having my body back as everything is so much effort now!

@Krista1991 that’s good hopefully it won’t be too long a wait for you! 🤞

@SillyBry yes! It’s exactly as you describe, jelly like bits. Exciting I hope I’m close then!

I was bleeding now in the evening ,lost a lot of mucus plug+blood in it.

Am I so close to the labour ?🙈😳

And also a strong period pains etc

I have been feeling itchy lately, mentioned it to my midwife who did a blood test on Monday and we got the results today which weren't great. Apparently some liver enzymes should be in the range of up to 30 (not sure of the units) in pregnancy and mine are 217. They think I might have ICP or obstetric cholestasis and have asked me to go to hospital tomorrow for further tests and find out what my consultant's plan will be. If it was an emergency surely they would have asked me to come today? Most likely another section, just not sure if it will be an emergency tomorrow or an elective on Thursday (I am 40 weeks tomorrow). The thing is I have been recovering from a chest infection so have been floored anyway and had an iron infusion a fortnight ago but have not felt well in myself for the last two days. I did mention to my midwife that I have been utterly drained today and have fallen asleep several times. Baby is moving but I'm not sure if I should go up to daybed tonight or ring 111 instead. I just feel under the weather, I have had pcr tests recently which were negative. Not sure what I should do?

My dh thinks I should just wait till tomorrow and go to daybed but I'm not sure?

I am a nervous wreck now...

I called to the hospital and the midwife said sounds like that the things are happening,if I am having a stronger pains-need to ring them back 😳

I feel so much pressure in my pelvis and back ache tonight… I’m desperate to keep this baby in until next week, but man, I’m feeling the aches and pains!

Ring 111 @Sceptre86 for the sake of half an hour on the phone you’ll get some much needed direction, can’t imagine how worried you just be!

@Sceptre86 definitely call 111 if your not feeling great, or the mau they may be able to advise

I definitely feel like things have got more serious in the past couple of days. But then I wonder if I’m sore because they’ve been scanning and poking and prodding me. Baby was livid at being scanned today - was kicking and punching at the scanner furiously trying to get it off… wishful thinking maybe 🤣🤣

Morning ladies, sorry I didn't update yesterday.
To be honest not much went to plan and it was a pretty turbulent day.

From difficulties getting the spinal in to excessive blood loss with me and then baby being fine at birth but then causing concern and being in SCBU by tea time 😭

Once I've got my head around it all and seen him again this morning I will come and update you properly as it's all still a bit of a blur.

We are both ok on the whole and that's what is important and makes it all worth it.

He was born at 12.25pm weighing 7lb 3 oz and we have named him Lorenzo he is gorgeous.

Congratulations @Bubbles1st sorry it didn't quite go to plan. Hope you and Lorenzo are both ok and make sure you take any time you need and look after yourself too! Don't feel the pressure to update. Sending virtual hugs

Amelia is doing so much better, she's out of nicu and back up on the ward with us.

Where she's been on antibiotics it's a minimum 48 hour stay for us which should be over about midday today.

We're waiting for the doctor to check her over and hopefully we'll be allowed to go home today!

This is day 7 of being in the hospital now, we're so ready to get her home💖

Hi all, I'm currently in hospital, had my first tablet for induction, just waiting on a second round of monitoring to see if anything has changed, don't think it's had any effect, not feeling any contractions, just a bit period painy but I think that's from the midwife having a look to see how far I'm dilated.

Still feeling nervous but better now I'm here. Let's hope she decides to make an appearance soon!

@Bubbles1st congratulations, Lorenzo is a lovely name. Sounds like a lot to take in, hope you all recover soon.

@Scotti84 hopefully the induction tablets are working!

Getting induced on Saturday, had a s&s today but they couldn't do it as my cervix is still high up. Desperately trying to get baby to engage in the hope the induction will work quickly as I'm conscious that the hospital won't let us wonder round like last time due to covid and walking after the pessary got my waters to break. Had to go to the day unit twice after appointments this week for BP monitoring as it was high and back again on Friday.
