Bubbles1st · 31/08/2021 05:37

I pressed send too soon ..... killing time before I have to leave for my section and getting distracted obviously!

Sorry if those without names have updated us and I missed them 🙈 or any more newbies I missed off. I'll report back with my little boy later ! Good luck every one due soon. See you on the other side.

Bubbles1st · 31/08/2021 05:37

@Noodles4Me sorry 🤦🏼‍♀️

Kirky658 · 31/08/2021 05:42

@leftitlate37 always the say, you can never be fully prepared!
@ftengineerm sorry I didnt mean it to come across like that honestly, haha, just wanted to say enjoy those last few weeks ❤️ and with the abs, lol, I've lost the weight so fast it's amazing, might be due to the c section and the breastfeeding! Xx

LauEli · 31/08/2021 07:02

@Bubbles1st good luck today hope it all goes well! Not long and you'll have baby in your arms 🥰

SillyBry · 31/08/2021 07:42

@Bubbles1st good luck today! I hope it all goes well! Thinking of you - it’ll be amazing to meet baby for you!

@Kirky658 your weight loss sounds fab - where can I order some of these abs? 😉🤣🤣
I think my weight dropped relatively well in the first instance last time… and then I upped my eating game, so I didn’t quite see the benefits 🤣🤣

CherLW · 31/08/2021 07:52

Congratulations @JasVL 💕💕 so happy for you!!!

@Sillysocks998 sorry to hear you’re feeling that way about breast feeding/how others are making you feel 😔. You definitely are right tho, it’s really difficult isn’t it! My little one doesn’t get the mouth big enough to get a good latch! I’m seeing someone at my community midwife centre today and hopefully arrange a time to chat to the lactation midwife.

My birth was all over the place. I went to 10cm with just gas and air, I wanted an epidural at 7cm but no one was available to do it, I opted for pethadine (which in the end I’m glad I didn’t have) but by the time they were going to give it I was 10cm and pushing!
The contractions weren’t intense enough once I got to 10cm and they babies heartbeat was lost and took a long time to find. I’m the end I was rushed to theatre for a spinal, episiotomy and forceps delivery. There were a lot of people in the room, some of them just incase kind of thing. It was very overwhelming but he’s now here 💙

@AdventuresAwait I’m so excited for you that it’s this Thursday!! A week after my Jesse was born 😍. I know how you feel about the numbness, I couldn’t look at my legs or touch them for ages as I just felt weird! They were up in stirrups in theatre and people were shifting them around etc. As they cleaned me up I was held on my sides, all very dignified (not) 😂 but I really didn’t care.
I had my day 3 midwife check up on Sunday and day 5 is today so will be seeing them again.
On day 3 they checked my stitches and asked if the student could check them also and I was like ‘more the merrier’ 😂

CobleCloud · 31/08/2021 08:08

Good luck today @Bubbles1st 🥰 x

bewitchingnight · 31/08/2021 08:23

Good luck @Bubbles1st hope you're not waiting too long, looking forward to your update later! x

SP2Bx · 31/08/2021 08:31

Hope all goes well today @Bubbles1st - how exciting!!

@Kirky658 result on the abs! Can imagine the stress of your first few weeks contributed to the weight loss... every cloud, right?! Haha. So pleased you're home now, hope you're doing ok xx

AdventuresAwait · 31/08/2021 08:47

Thank you @CherLW! Nervous and excited!
Hope you are able to see the lactation midwife and that they can help with feeding Jesse. Such a lovely name by the way! Xx

CherLW · 31/08/2021 08:53

@AdventuresAwait I can imagine!! I was quite overwhelmed by the amount of people but maybe you won’t have as many as it’s planned. If you do worry just remember they are all just there for you and your little one and to be in exactly the right place if they are needed. ❤️

Thank you, I’ve always loved the name and it fits him perfectly 💙

CherLW · 31/08/2021 08:54

Thinking of you today @Bubbles1st 🥰

AdventuresAwait · 31/08/2021 09:04

@CherLW, that's so lovely. We have a name and have had it right from the start. We have no others so hoping it suits her!!

@Bubbles1st, thinking of you today! Xx

Bubbles1st · 31/08/2021 09:15

Thanks everyone just being monitored ! Feels a long morning already with lots of waiting but will all be worth it soon enough.

Noodles4Me · 31/08/2021 10:41

It's okay @Bubbles1st. Good luck today, the best advice I can give is make sure your bed controls are within reach! x

bluemagicalsky · 31/08/2021 10:47

Congratulations to everyone who has had their baby's and good luck to everyone else ☺️

@LittleAurora Yes, I'm 37 weeks today and from 36 weeks I've been having some lower back pain on and off, not consistent. I think it could either be as baby has moved down a bit or some braxton hicks. I'm also having a home birth, pool arrives on Thursday! Is this your first?

LittleAurora · 31/08/2021 10:50

@bluemagicalsky
Our pool has arrived and we blew it up. I'm very excited. Wish I could just have it up and hot so I could just float about lol

bluemagicalsky · 31/08/2021 12:13

That's brilliant @LittleAurora that sounds ideal! I decided on homebirth at my 36 week appointment last week, and now feel so much more excited about the experience and birth, so definitely the right decision. Albeit the late decision made it difficult to source the birth pool, but got it sorted in the end.

Krista1991 · 31/08/2021 13:21

Hello.
I am back from my membrane sweep,I am 2,5 cm dilated already ,I was surprised when mw told me that 💖

Now it’s just a waiting game 🤰🏼😄🙈

MrsTD88 · 31/08/2021 15:54

Missed a few days and so much to catch up on 💛💙💝

Congratulations @JasVL

@Bubbles1st I hope all went well today.

I had my final growth scan yesterday and all is perfect so section is booked for 3 weeks' time! Last day day work today, soooo looking forward to some rest!

2021mumma · 31/08/2021 15:59

Hope you are all well! I got out of hospital on the 27th in hindsight probably too soon and my section recovery has taken a massive set back can barely get out of bed. Midwife been today and taken out stitches and prescribed stronger pain killers hopefully this is what I need. Baby is doing amazing he is so sweet, feeding well and putting on weight that he initially lost post birth. We have named him Sebastian.

Historyl0ver · 31/08/2021 16:32

Congratulations to all the new mummies!

I am 37+2 weeks and feeling absolutely rotten. This is my second baby and I’ve been struck how much physically harder things feel with the second pregnancy, plus for the last week I have had a very heavy cold and cough. Am still waiting for COVID test results and trying not to worry, although I’m double vaccinated. Anyone else feeling the same?

AdventuresAwait · 31/08/2021 17:21

Hope the pain killers help @2021mumma. Glad Sebastian is doing well.. lovely name! Xx

Mamabearwhere · 31/08/2021 17:56

Hi ladies. Hope you’re all well. Has anyone noticed their mucus plug coming away with their discharge and any clues on how long after labour could be? I didn’t notice it the first pregnancy and second time I lost it mid labour but this time I’m noticing something that looks like mucus plug but no sign of labour
