Congratulations @Joey86, @crobo87 and @Squibble84! Wonderful news xx

Sillysocks998 · 06/09/2021 15:23

Hi Everyone, to those who've had babies, at least we have a bit of summer again. Altho still hormonally hot! Congratulations to all the new mommas 🎉 gorgeous names too. Hettie, Lorenzo, Leo, Eloise, Alice...I'm finding I am remembering the names more than whose had who lol. Baby brain 🤪👶😅😁.

KHR1 · 06/09/2021 15:35

Congratulations @crobo87!

@MrsMcNtobe it could be! How's it going?
Managed to get the pessary this morning after them saying it could be a while

MrsMcNtobe · 06/09/2021 15:40

@KHR1 I’ve had all 3 and no change to my cervix so can’t break waters, have to stay in hospital for them to start the process tomorrow. Won’t let me home because of reduced movements. I’m disappointed but also wondering how much longer they’ll just keep continuing this until it works

MrsTD88 · 06/09/2021 18:01

@Squibble84 congratulations. What a little beauty 😍

@D0nut sorry just seen this, I've been doing some last minute baby prep. I hope.your scan etc went well? Are they concerned about the swelling? My hospital have just introduced testing partners, it isn't compulsory at the moment. X

D0nut · 06/09/2021 18:20

@MrsTD88 scan went well, they are still seeing normal growth which is good and they’re not concerned about my swelling because my blood pressure has come down and my urine is all good. So that’s a relief. They keep saying ‘if you go into spontaneous labour’ a lot though and they couldn’t get a proper head measurement because her head is too low down! Makes me have a feeling I won’t make it to the 20th.

KHR1 · 06/09/2021 18:41

@MrsMcNtobe sorry that the pessaries haven't helped that must be frustrating. Don't think they try more than 3 and the gel at my hospital trust

FTEngineerM · 06/09/2021 18:52

Oh congratulations ladies @crobo87 @Joey86 @Squibble84, seeing all these cute newborn pictures is too much 😍. So many now.

So close to due date now, I think I’ll be going overdue again though because there is absolutely nothing happening ☹️☹️ Aside from him feeling humongous

SillyBry · 06/09/2021 19:29

@FTEngineerM I’m due tomorrow and I’ve been inundated with messages from people asking if I’ve had the baby yet. I’m like just p**s off leave me alone 🤣🤣
I’ve had the heaviest crotch, period pains and sore back for days… but nothing happening yet!

FTEngineerM · 06/09/2021 19:55

Oh no that makes it ten times worse @SillyBry you have my sympathies!! I haven’t told any of our nearest and dearest the actual due date because it stressed me out too much last time. As if we wouldn’t mention it if we popped one out 😂🤷🏽‍♀️.

SillyBry · 06/09/2021 20:34

@FTEngineerM that’s just it… it’s like well you’ll hear from me when I’ve had the baby, don’t worry. But you don’t reply and they immediately assume you’re in labour 🤬🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

KHR1 · 06/09/2021 20:36

@FTEngineerM not telling people the actual due date is such a good idea!!!

Mamabearwhere · 07/09/2021 11:23

Hope everyone’s doing well. Is anyone else utterly fed up of being pregnant still? I’m due next Friday and have just had a little cry because I was really hoping to have had baby by now. This heat isn’t helping and I have so much mum guilt that I’ve not been a very active or fun mummy to my older two these past few months ! Just so heavy and tired All. The. Time.

Hope the labour fairy comes to visit soon!

@SillyBry same symptoms here but 39 weeks. Baby keeps giving us false alarms and I also keep getting asked how many days left now? It's giving me anxiety. I'm so ready for our little one to come out!

primhutch · 07/09/2021 11:37

40+6 over here 😭😭

Very very very fed up now, don't know what to do with myself. 2nd sweep booked for Thursday morning. Feel like I'm in limbo! Also worrying about how big she will be 🙈

bewitchingnight · 07/09/2021 11:55

Yes @Mamabearwhere due date tomorrow, sweep booked for lunchtime, just want her to be here now! Feeling so grumpy about how hot it is as well!

bewitchingnight · 07/09/2021 11:55

@primhutch how did your first sweep go? I'm a bit nervous about mine tomorrow!

primhutch · 07/09/2021 12:05

@bewitchingnight I was really nervous and told the midwife how nervous I was (it wasn't the usual one I see and I haven't had anything internal my whole pregnancy so worked myself up a lot!)

She was really good tho, kept talking to me throughout and it literally lasted a couple of minutes. I held my partners hand and afterwards I cried because I was really proud of myself 😂 it wasn't nice but bareable.

Clouless · 07/09/2021 12:14

Hopefully not too much longer for everyone feeling fed up.
My baby is still breech at 38 weeks and refused to budge for an ECV yesterday! So that means I'll be having a c-section next week... only problem is there are no available slots so I'm still waiting in limbo 🤷‍♂️

Taybz · 07/09/2021 12:15

Are sweeps and inductions painful or just uncomfortable? I squirm with any internals and can just about deal with a smear test.

FTEngineerM · 07/09/2021 12:23

I feel you @primhutch I went into labour last time at 40+6 and I had a total emotional melt down. So done. I will have my fingers crossed for your sweep.

@Taybz horrendous to be fair. Though I’ve only had one and I was already in labour 4cm dilated so I don’t know if she had a shit technique or what😂

CobleCloud · 07/09/2021 12:26

Hi ladies! I'm getting very fed up now too. Can't believe the heat has come back.. I'm struggling today and want something to start! 😭 not due till Monday had a few twinges and pains but all end up disappearing.

Got the midwife tomorrow and a second sweep.. had my first last week and told I wasn't quite ready but moving in the right direction so hoping for some progress this week. @Taybz my sweep didn't hurt it was a bit uncomfortable similar to a smear test but I did have a few pains afterwards.. hard to say I know but I think I was a bit tense so try relax as much as you can!

MrsMcNtobe · 07/09/2021 12:42

@Taybz I’ve now had 5 examinations since Sunday and gel pessaries added. It does get very uncomfortable but breathe through them and ask for pain relief maybe 30/45 mins before because they can give you it. I’ve just had paracetamol and dihydrocodeine and I’m waiting on my 6th examination and 5th gel pessary due soon 🤦🏻‍♀️

NommyChompers · 07/09/2021 13:00

Gah getting so nervous now at 38 weeks - really painful to walk and getting new stretch marks each day. What is the earliest midwives will check to see if they can do a sweep?

SillyBry · 07/09/2021 13:05

@Mamabearwhere I’m an emotional wreck over my daughter starting school. She was upset going in today (day 3… but first door drop off) and I’ve been in pieces all day. I’m like get a grip woman, she’s fine!! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣
