Hi all!

I just find out I'm 4 weeks pregnant! Last period was 28/07/2021

We were trying for nearly 2 years (stopped few months at the beginning the pandemic) and we were doing some test to hopefully join the waiting list for IVF. They said my partner's sperm was too slow.

I didn't see any post regarding due date May.
I called today my GP and they said to choose a hospital and send a referal.

@MummaRainbowbaby2 Congratulations on your rainbow too, I’ve just booked a early scan 2nd October I should be about 8+5 weeks but they are working out from last period and saying 9+5 by then so I’m not entirely sure need a scan to confirm.

Other than urgency to wee, strong urine smell, upset stomach, slight twinches and lack of energy so tired by afternoon I feel good. Had some Naseua but mainly when I eat x

MissM94 · 07/09/2021 15:05

Hi ladies, Can I join? 😁 found out yesterday, last period started on 8th of August so apps are saying I'm 4 weeks and 3 days.. given 14th of May as a due date! My first pregnancy, trying not to get excited as there's lots that can go wrong but I'm so amazed, I got pregnant our first time trying without protection! Had sex Monday & Wednesday, ovulated one the Tuesday! Thinking we're gonna a private scan for when I'm 9 weeks but how do we get through the next few weeks not knowing how our embryos are doing? 😂 only done 3 tests, don't want to keep testing because I know I'll get obsessed but my lines are looking okay tbf! Number 1 was yesterday about 4pm, the clear blues were this morning before work.. I only did a test as I felt really tired and off and my boobs were killing.. never in a million years expected to see the other line! 🥰

@Milliep24 do you think you'll have an early scan?
That's the only positive about IVF, very precise dates 😂

Milliep24 · 07/09/2021 15:17

I’ve booked one already haha ! It’s on the 19th so I’ll be 7 weeks something 😂 that’s true you know exactly what’s what don’t you !

Milliep24 · 07/09/2021 15:17

@MissM94 congratulations !!

MillyMcg · 07/09/2021 15:22

I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow! I feel exactly the same about the impatient thing, I just want to be out of the first trimester so I can relax a bit more. I’m planning to wait until 12 weeks for a scan, but I’m excited to hear about how your earlier scans go - maybe that will tempt me Smile

Etonmess20 · 07/09/2021 15:32

@Milliep24 😂😂 I don't blame you tbh - I've got one booked for 27th when I'll be 7+3 as is standard with IVF but if I didn't have one offered on NHS I'd definitely be booking one myself

Blue1876 · 07/09/2021 15:36

Hi everyone! I'm 5w4d and really reassured to read about some of your symptoms. I've been having cramps that feel a lot like period pain, and also have felt really nauseous the last couple of days, plus already exhausted! I want to go out and enjoy the sun but ever time I go outside I find myself wandering back in again - it's too hot when you're a bit queasy! I had an early miscarriage back in January so considering having a private early scan for peace of mind, would be really interested in hearing about anyone's experience with these. Last time I got a midwife appointment really quickly, bloods done etc, this time my appointment is at 8 weeks and I'm quite impatient Smile

Congratulations to everyone, wishing you happy and healthy pregnancies!

MummaRainbowbaby2 · 07/09/2021 15:37

@LeeTTCRainbow Thank you! Thats good nice bit of reassurance for you find out exact dates! Exciting! I'm having twinges too but quite sharp so I think having the early scan will stop me panicking(as much) did you get morning sickness before? I was quite lucky and haven't suffered it in any pregnancies hoping the same this time! Xx

MummaRainbowbaby2 · 07/09/2021 15:40

@MissM94 congratulations!! I'm planning on getting an early scan soon so I'll let you know how it goes! There's a few others having early scans too so keep a look out for how they go for everyone too :) wish you a happy healthy pregnancy xx

WingingItEveryDay7 · 07/09/2021 19:03

Congratulations everyone, our due dates are all so close together! I have felt so queasy today and the heat hasn't helped, and have a real craving for milk and cheese! I lived on babybel cheese and ready salted hula hoops with my first. We didn't find out the gender so was a lovely surprise. Will hold off until the birth to find out this time too.

Will you all find out the gender when you can?

Piggers946 · 07/09/2021 22:40

Not having too many symptoms yet, a bit queasy throughout the day and more frequent bathroom visits but thankfully nothing too severe yet. Definitely tired now though, especially after dealing with our 3-month old beagle who had the zoomies for 2-3 hours earlier haha.

Looking forward to our early scan on the 20th, EPU booked me in right away when I phoned yesterday. I should be about 6+2 then. Fingers crossed all goes well this time.

@WingingItEveryDay7 Yea, I think we will find out sex. Tempted to get a Sneak Peek test even.

Shall we set up a private Facebook group? It'll be easier for us all to chat and connect

WardenCousland · 07/09/2021 23:17

Hello ladies! Jumping in on this as well. I found out late last week that I was pregnant, according calculations I'm due 5 weeks + 4 days -- due 6 May 2022.

This is my first pregnancy and I must admit I'm a little terrified!

Minor symptoms at the moment, some nausea, frequent bathroom visits and occasional period like cramps! We're debating on getting an early scan around the 10 week mark. I've done a referral at the GP but so far heard nothing.

Congratulations everyone! x

MummaRainbowbaby2 · 08/09/2021 01:02

@WingingItEveryDay7 yeah this heat has wiped me out and made me so nauseous! Last time I was so eager to find out the gender I booked a private scan at exactly 16 weeks haha this time I'd still find out as I can plan if they can have their sisters clothes or not but ill just wait until the 20 week scan not as fussed! Your very patient i couldn't wait that long im so impatient!

EmilyMay89 · 08/09/2021 04:12

Hi everyone! I'm 5+1 due 10 May with my first. Had the odd wave of nausea but other than that just sore boobs and cramps

YummyMummyXoX · 08/09/2021 05:00

MissM94 · 08/09/2021 08:19

@MummaRainbowbaby2 aww thank you so much! You too 🥰♥️ xxx

MissM94 · 08/09/2021 08:19

@Milliep24 thank you!

MissM94 · 08/09/2021 08:27

How is everyone staying positive? I don't even know anyone that's has any sort of miscarriage or chemical yet I'm fully convinced it's going to happen to me, I'm 4+4 today so I just need to make it another 4 weeks then I'll have a scan I think! Also, going to run out of excuses for not drinking etc by then 😂

mamatofourx · 08/09/2021 09:36

I've just found out I'm 4 weeks and one day🤍

22seathelight · 08/09/2021 09:51

Hi all, congrats to everyone!
We found out last week, im currently 5 weeks+4. Due date 7th May. Its all still a shock, it will be our first and happened first time trying!!
started feeling nauseous even before my period was due which was the giveaway.. not as bad now, but with added mild cramping and tiredness!

I've already had to come up with lies for why I'm not drinking!! anyone got good tips for that?! We've only told our siblings and parents. Waiting 12 week scan to tell friends and extended family.

ShellUK09 · 08/09/2021 10:05

@MissM94 I’m about 4 and a half weeks now but have started to have some slight brown discharge today, it is very light but it did make me gasp as I wasn’t expecting it. People have previously said on here not to worry too much unless it is red blood, but I can’t help but worry. It’s going to be a long 9 months!

LeeTTCRainbow · 08/09/2021 10:17

@MummaRainbowbaby2 yes i did a little but rest of symptoms kicked in later (still ended in a missed miscarriage) but already with this pregnancy i'm getting morning sickness and so so so tired i could have a nap in afternoons and im bloated like im looking pregnant especially by evenings. x

LeeTTCRainbow · 08/09/2021 10:20

@WingingItEveryDay7 Congratulations, we wont be finding out the sex want the surprise. we planned that with the previous pregnancies but unfortunately they didn't work out. x

LeeTTCRainbow · 08/09/2021 10:24

@Piggers946 did you just call up epu after getting your positive test and they booked you in? have you had a history of miscarriages, i still need to tell gp/midwife just got married so sorting name details out so all in new surname, last time had to fill in a form and wait for them to contact me. ive had recurrent miscarriages so wondered if can contact epu straight away. x
