Hi all!

I just find out I'm 4 weeks pregnant! Last period was 28/07/2021

We were trying for nearly 2 years (stopped few months at the beginning the pandemic) and we were doing some test to hopefully join the waiting list for IVF. They said my partner's sperm was too slow.

I didn't see any post regarding due date May.
I called today my GP and they said to choose a hospital and send a referal.

I'm having such a hard time with my mum since being pregnant I just don't know what to do. I've posted about her to you all before and the way she speaks to me..
She's always been very defensive and not someone you can criticise or even tell how she's made you feel. Another situations arisen and I'm going to try and word it so it's not absolutely pathetic..
I had a friend called Emma, my mum never liked this friend and has big opinions on her as a person and how she treated me as a result of me not being friends with her anymore, my mum was still friends with her on Facebook and used to tell me she can't stand looking at her shit and is going to delete her soon (I never asked her to, it was her choice) but she never did. So I'm not friends with Emma but it pops up whenever she tags my friends in stuff or if they comment on stuff. So I'm scrolling through and I see my mum comment on this picture absolutely licking her arse and talking about what's going on with our family, so I messaged my mum calmly asking if she can delete her as I don't want her knowing anything going on in my life & as usual my mums reaction was disgusting and she spoke to me like I was a piece of shit and accused me of all sorts, including befriending her sisters behind her back when this is an absolute lie as I don't have anything to do with them yet my older brother was in the pub with them 3 days before and that was absolutely fine. The messages she sent to me she's genuinely lying and making me out to be someone I'm completely not and making up scenarios.. is she gaslighting me?! She's completely flipped it so she's the victim and I'm being unreasonable. Is it so unreasonable to not want to see my mother sucking up to a vile girl that she doesn't even like/want to be friends with?!

I have a bit of unresolved tension with my mum. She bombarded me with gifts when I told her I was pregnant I was only 8 weeks and we agreed I wouldn't get anything until 12 weeks just to be safe and I just told her it was making me feel overwhelmed and she lost it and spoke to me like shit and she was the victim and still now says "when you told me off" "when you let your hormones loose on me" and it makes me angry every time she says it cos she just has no regard for my feelings or how she made me feel. The second is she smokes all in the house, she smokes outside when I'm there but in the house the rest of the time, when she rings me I can hear her smoking. Now, she has mithered and put pressure on me to have a child for years so you think she would be prepared for it or want to change her life but no. I went round for 45 minutes and I could smell cigarettes on my coat and bag and that's with her smoking outside! So obviously the damage is done all the other times she's smoking inside so it dawned on me that my child is going to smell like cigarettes and it just isn't an option for me to go round with them so internally I'm losing my mind because having that conversation with her just isn't an option. I can't even ask her to not do something without her jumping down my throat I can't even imagine telling her about the smoking thing. I think what frustrates me most is the fact I do everything for my mum and always have yet she has the audacity to speak to me like i'm scum. Im starting to realise she's toxic for me, she is currently spending her days the victim and I'm the bad person. I think she has bipolar or depression, or due to her going through the change she had a hormonal imbalance but I just can't have the stress of her, I really don't want anything to do with her.. she was my best friend at one point, someone please give me some help before I lose my mind haha

@MissM94 sorry to hear you’ve so many unresolved issues with your mum have you tried family counselling? Sounds like it might be worth a shot.

I have been living off take out curry 3 times a week lol. An amazing really authentic one opened in my town recently. Its so bloody delicious, super hot but also quite fresh and light for an Indian. Its not like the sugary thick sauce you usually get for kormas.

The authentic curry place where you are sounds amazing! Yuck to creamy sweet kormas - they’re just not going to cut it!! Lol

@RainbowTime got NIPT results back yesterday all low chance which is 1 small victory, I had the CVS yesterday also (ow!) so waiting for the results from that now and will have an anatomy scan at 16 weeks which is next week. I hope you and baby are well?

Went for 12 weeks scan today measuring approx 13+6… unable to get NT measurements or accurate dating measurements as bean wouldn’t play ball and kept moving so have to go back in a couple of days - which means they might not be able to do the NT testing… not sure I mind too much really, it’s a probability isn’t it and with my history of miscarriages I wouldn’t have anything invasive done anyway.

@RainbowTime Good luck with your next scan! My LO just wouldn’t roll over at my scan last week, the scanner kept sending me on loads of walks round the hospital - it did work eventually though!

I told people when I got back from my scan but I’ve had so many aches and pains in the days since that I’m worried I’ve jumped the gun and something is wrong.

Is anyone else getting aches all over the shop around now?

Just an update that I had my gender scan today and it's a girl son was super happy.

Occasional period type pain but normal from what I can gather… try and relax, if they don’t pass call 111 or seek GP/midwife.

Ah lovely, I’m 14… thought they couldn’t do a gender scan until 16 weeks as they’re not accurate? Don’t think we’re gonna find out but it’s lovely you have though!! Exciting xx

Yeah most places are 16 weeks. But some are 14 and 15 weeks. Just going to have it confirmed in 5 weeks double check a winky hasn't grown x

Also suffering from terrible headaches too. Baby bean is sure keeping me on my toes 😅

@Mellymopx Oof, tell me about it! I’m just past 14w and had almost half a day without nausea last week. For some silly reason I thought it’d stay that way but nope! Nausea ever since. Fingers crossed we all feel better soon!

We’ve decided to find out the sex. I always imagined I’d want to wait and find out but now I’m actually there I think I’d just like to know. It’ll make it easier to narrow down names for one thing!

@Mellymopx @Honeymint goddd I'm so sorry you're both still feeling like shit 😩 I'm going to be that person and say I'm really enjoying this bit cos my appetite has come back massively and I've not had any sickness for about 3/4 weeks 😅 I'm finding out the gender on Saturday! Going for the scan on the Thursday then giving the envelope to my partners sister and she's filling the balloon with the right colour and picking the right golf ball for dp to hit 😂😂 yeah she's that extra she wants us both to do something not just one of us hahaha.. I'm 16 + 1 today have any of you felt anything yet? I'm not sure if it's a flutter on my gut processing things 😂

I’ve now booked to find out the gender too! Also on Saturday - this time next week I will know?! I’m a little nervous! Not sure why, but I am. 😂
I already have a little boy, does anyone already have a little one at home? This pregnancy has been polar opposite to my pregnancy with him - meaning everyone thinks baby is a girl, but I’m adamant they are a boy 😅 though with my first I was adamant he was a girl… and was very wrong 😂

And I felt some little flutters a few nights ago, definitely baby! Can’t wait for actual kicks, I adored those with my 1st boy 🥺

@MissM94 Congrats on feeling better! I’ll admit I’m madly jealous and can’t wait for my appetite to come back but it’s good to hear someone’s feeling well, haha!

@Mellymopx I’ll be a FTP, it’s so nerve-racking to think about! Half the people I know are adamant we’ll have a boy and the other half think we’ll have a girl - they’ve all given so many different reasons why they think this. I’m excited to see who’s right.

So exciting you'll know in a few days. Like you I have a son and found out weekend before last we're having a girl! I was adamant it was another boy and was happy either way just wanted healthy. Everyone including my son said girl. I was sooo certain, also this pregnancy has been a rough ride compared to my son! X

Found out the gender yesterday - and it’s a little girl!!! Was in shock, had them check a few times haha but definitely all girl. I am absolutely delighted, her big brother… not so much 😅 he keeps saying “nooo baby is a boy” 😂

Hope you are all keeping well 🥰 I’m still being sick at 17 weeks - accepted thats just how my pregnancy is going to go now 😅 xxx
