Argh sleeping is such a struggle at the moment. Last 3 nights I've just tossed and turned trying to get comfortable. My outer thighs near my hips get so sore after a few hours of lying on my side so I have to switch and then that side gets sore and so on all night long. And my back is now just one giant knot. Only 33 weeks so I'm seriously hoping I manage to find some comfier positions 😩.

I've still got 5 weeks of work left so I'm also very jealous of you ladies finishing sooner. Definitely getting to that point where pregnancy is all consuming and you just want it to hurry up!

Yep with you on the difficulties sleeping and the general aches and pains!

Seeing midwife today, probs just as well, DH and parents a bit concerned as I have been feeling unwell for several days, headache that won't go away, swollen ankles and feet, shortness of breath... All signs of pre eclampsia apparently so I'm really hoping all is OK!

@Mamabearwhere the guidance on heavy lifting etc from my understanding is more to do with the relaxin hormone causing us to be more prone to pulling muscles etc than anything to do with harming the baby. As others have suggested take it easy for a day or two with a nice bath :)

@GWhiteley yes have heard that too about colostrum, definitely not enough going on yet for me anyway! And as for the bending over putting socks/shoes on etc... that's been a no go for me for weeks! Just sitting now though is becoming difficult as you say... I was driving the other day and had to lean forward/upright because baby was right under my rib cage 😖

I am 37 weeks now, had leaky boobs a while (one more than other) but how you are meant to harvest anything....it'd take about 5 hours, pain and discomfort to get a ml in the syringe.

@Noodles4Me the midwife told me yesterday that with the right pressure and technique 30 mins should help produce what you can collect in a day. A warm shower first and or a warm
Compress can help.
I've had minimal leaking but still hoping when I get to 37 weeks I have some success. Currently 35+4

@GWhiteley I gave up with socks weeks ago as it was too difficult to try and put then on and only wear shoes I can slip on

Hey ladies. Midwife checked my BP x 3 times. It's sky high at 176/106 so I've been sent straight to MAU. On our way there now 😔 xx

@Bubbles1st yeah, been trying all that but nowt doing! Guess I just have to persist.

@Bubbles1st @Noodles4Me I never managed to harvest colostrum first time around... no amount of hot showers caused anything... but I had plenty of milk, so don't panic that it's an indication of anything to come.
I feel like I might have more success this time, simply because I spent 18 months expressing every day, so I feel like I know the massage and techniques now... but I'm not too stressed if I manage to get any or not!

I haven't yet bought any nursing bras, but they're the last thing on my hospital bag list. I've put off buying them as my boobs haven't changed size much at all, and don't want to waste money when possibly they could get bigger in my last few weeks. Is anyone else hesitating to get them? I've found some relatively cheap ones in new look, but now not sure which size to get!

Hi ladies it is deffo pre eclampsia. BP was 203/106 when admitted. Coming down now it lookslike she will be c section in next few days. DH been allowed to stay which is a huge relief. Feeling very poorly but in the best place. X
