With you all on the nausea front! I've been sick 2/3 times in the last week and feel
Sick most mornings again now 🙈
I finish work on Thursday.

SP2Bx · 09/08/2021 14:08

Thanks @unicornpower @KHR1 , it does seem around the right time I guess and I do want to do colostrum harvesting so I'm worried that it only seems to happen at night and I'll miss out?! But maybe this is it just coming in 🤞🏼

unicornpower · 09/08/2021 14:46

@SP2Bx I wouldnt worry about missing it, i mean I'm not sure how colostrum harvesting works but mine definitely is more frequent now and throughout the day rather than just overnight- I found it really overwhelming tbh when it started leaking! i have my breastfeeding NCT session tomorrow so ill share any pearls of wisdom re harvesting :)

Mrsserenalewis · 09/08/2021 15:50

Had my rescan after her been folded in half and breech last week. She is happily now heads down (spent the week on my birthing ball and cleaning on hands and knees).
She spent most of the scan licking her cord. I have an anterior placenta so was hard to get her face but the outcome was scrummy.

Would love to see other HD Scans xx

(33weeks tomorrow)

Joey86 · 09/08/2021 16:03

@Mrsserenalewis oh my goodness how cute!! Really pleased she's turned for you. Xx

AdventuresAwait · 09/08/2021 16:08

Amazing pics @Mrsserenalewis! Xx

SP2Bx · 09/08/2021 16:22

Wow @Mrsserenalewis ! Gorgeous baba ❤️ isn't technology amazing xx

SillyBry · 09/08/2021 16:38

What a great pic @Mrsserenalewis

I'm with everyone on the nausea... I just feel so full... I get to the evening and the idea of eating seems horrible. We had a Chinese takeaway on Saturday and it tasted weird (to me only!) and I could only eat a tiny bit. I think I need to start eating bigger lunches and snack dinners as I just struggle with dinner so much right now!

RadDarwazeh · 09/08/2021 18:45

@SillyBry I'm with you, I wanna eat but then I get full up after a few bites. It's ridiculous. There's definitely less space in there for proper meals now! Xx

Squibble84 · 09/08/2021 19:45

Also with everyone on the nausea, my belly feels so full of baby, I feel like all my other organs are just squished to the sides! 🥴 if I lie down, I get acid reflux so I have to sleep propped up now!

crobo87 · 09/08/2021 20:00

@Squibble84 I'm really struggling with acid reflux, it has me up most nights.
I already take medication for it as I had a hiatus hernia before pregnancy but I find around 2am I wake choking on acid 🤢

Squibble84 · 09/08/2021 20:05

@crobo87 it’s so unpleasant isn’t it! I also have an anal fissure that’s reopened so that’s another issue to contend with as well! 😫 oh the joys of the 3rd trimester! 😅

crobo87 · 09/08/2021 20:07

Very glamorous isn't it 😂

Not long to go now ladies!

SP2Bx · 09/08/2021 20:37

@crobo87 It really is 🙈 dignity is already gone let alone after childbirth!

This might be a stupid question but... we don't have to take any crib bedding into the hospital do we?

crobo87 · 09/08/2021 20:39

@SP2Bx no, or I didn't last time I had kids.
I'm taking my own blankets but otherwise I'm sure they provide the sheets.

Suma2021 · 09/08/2021 20:53

Ugh, acid reflux is the worst, I've woken several nights feeling like I'm drowning, choking on acid! Really scary sometimes! For me it's triggered by eating too late in the evening, and especially chocolate or pizza 🍕

With the nausea / fullness - I had that a couple of weeks ago, I LOVE my food so was devastated I couldn't enjoy meals the same way. Suddenly its disappeared though and now my stomach is like a bottomless pit Grin

Mamabearwhere · 09/08/2021 21:17

Hi ladies. Little bit worried as I think I pushed myself too much today and yesterday with “nesting” as I decided to gut the playroom and reorganise it all, bending up and down picking stuff off the floor, shuffle furniture around (so stupid) and now my lower back is in agony! Do you think I need to be worried/call midwife?

MrsTD88 · 09/08/2021 21:35

@SP2Bx I have been leaking at night for a few weeks now too. As soon as I take my bra off I end up with wet patches on my PJ tops. I am hoping it is a good sign of milk coming in ready for baby. I am 33 weeks today.

Officially I have another 3 weeks left at work then annual leave before maternity leave starts but I may have to finish earlier depending on my scan on Monday. Work have advised I should treat it as if I finish on Friday and get my note of work etc. prepared just in case they move my section date forward and I want time off beforehand. Hopefully things will be a little clearer on Monday.

Squibble84 · 09/08/2021 22:02

@Mamabearwhere From what I know, the baby will be absolutely fine if you’ve pushed yourself a bit too hard, call the midwife if you’re worried though and try to take it easy for a bit!

2021mumma · 09/08/2021 22:12

So jealous of you all finishing work now I’m working up to 3 days before csection did the same last time 🙀

Suma2021 · 09/08/2021 22:34

@Mamabearwhere I have days like this too as I've just moved into a new house so we've been doing exactly the same, I'm sooo achy after overdoing it. Your body is telling you to rest. Usually after a hot bath and a restful night then taking it easy the following day my aches and pains ease off a lot, maybe give that a try but if they persist or if you're worried call the midwife !

GWhiteley · 09/08/2021 22:36

@SP2Bx @unicornpower just reading your comments about harvesting colostrum, I had my breastfeeding webinar today & they said you should wait until after you're 37 weeks before looking to do this.

GWhiteley · 09/08/2021 22:38

Is anyone else struggling putting on pants/socks/trousers & bending over? I now have to sit with my legs open quite wide to eat at the dining room table as it feels really uncomfortable otherwise! Really struggle to put leggings on

GWhiteley · 09/08/2021 22:52

Also, my back now hurts all the time! I can't sit down or stand up for too long anymore without getting tired & my back really starting to hurt. I tried cleaning the bathroom & then cooking dinner & was in agony - clearly need to space out what I'm doing so I'm not going from one thing to another without a break in between. Soo glad I took the extra time off before baby is born!

FTEngineerM · 10/08/2021 06:55

@GWhiteley yes! My dad keeps asking to take me out for food and I just have to say no, not until after baby is here. I feel like a whale when I’m sat at the dining table, legs out 😭. It’s so uncomfy. If I’m getting dressed I try everything possible to wear a dress so that I don’t need to faff with leggings, then flip flops for ultimate ease 😂. I really hope this doesn’t go on much longer
