Just back from a super long appointment and growth scan, everything looking good! Still head down and 5.3lbs 🥰 for the first time ever we saw her little face on the scan! She was frowning haha but it was a really special moment.

I also had a growth scan and consultant appointment today. 35 weeks and baby is estimated at 6lbs. There's no concerns so I've been discharged from the clinic. No more scans or hospital appointments. Four weeks until we'll meet our baby (unless she comes early). Exciting! Xx

Just a quick question, baby is 3/5 engaged (I'm 35 weeks). Anyone else? Xx

@AdventuresAwait I was also 3/5 at my last appointment although they can move back up again, especially if it’s not your first pregnancy. From my understanding 5/5 is the least engaged as that means they can feel all of your baby’s head, 3/5 means they can feel 3/5s of your baby’s head and 1/5 or 0/5 is fully engaged I think as then they can’t feel any of your baby’s head as it’s too float down in the pelvis and ready to go!

Glad lots of you have had positive growth scans! I kinda wish I was having them, haven't had any scans since 20 weeks.

Today baby feels like he's going to burst through my skin like in alien or something 😂. He's kicking and stretching and it's making my skin and belly so sore I've had to go lie down in the middle of the working day. Don't know if he's changed positions or something but it's all so tight. Anyone else experiencing that?

@marshmallowmode, my bump has been a bit sore sometimes which I think is from the movements. Just temporarily and then it eases.

A while back some of you were talking about weight and comparing current weight to your booking appointment/starting weight. I didn't have scales so didn't have a clue but I've been weighed today and am just under my booking weight. This doesn't seem like it can be right? (Though my diet has changed due to the Gestational Diabetes). Anyone else? Xx

Aww excited to hear that babies are head down and engaged already. I think first babies engage quicker, I read somewhere. At my 34 week check, the midwife said mine was head down, but still floating.

I take back what I said earlier about people's comments not bothering me... I've just been out for lunch and been offended! Literally since my last comment!
I met a friend who I've not seen for months and she was like "blimey, how many children do you have in there?! Are you sure it's not twins? They might come out as teenagers, you're so big!"
Then carried on with "and you're still running? Imagine if you weren't, you'd be the size of a house. You best not give birth today... I'm no good with babies!"
I was like OK, I get it. I'm huge... you can stop now!!! ;-)

I stood on the scales a while ago and cried at how much heavier I am. It was like 2 stone. But I feel like it's all belly and boobs - I don't feel fat anywhere - the bump is pretty solid and I don't look too pregnant from behind, so I just have to tell myself it is what it is and I'll deal with the weight after having baby :-)

@SillyBry people just dont think before they speak sometimes do they?! She probably didnt mean to be offensive but stuff like that just doesn't need to be said.

Ive heard breastfeeding is wonderful for weight loss, i'm counting on that, but tbh i think when babys here i'll probably care less about what ive put on. Thats a worry for when ive stopped worrying about everything else 🤣

@Scotti84 She's a "horse person", which in my world means they say exactly what they think with no messing about! But I was thinking you can stop now dear! ;-) Her last kid was 14 years ago, so it's all a distant memory for her!

Breastfeeding would've been good for weightloss, but I enjoyed eating the calories away at the same time last time!! ;-)
But like you - that's another worry for another time. Right now, it's beyond our control! ;-)

@AdventuresAwait same here, just under what I weighed booking in but it's completely GD related - I'd put on 5kg prior to being diagnosed and lost it since. Haven't put any weight on in 3rd trimester. Nice to have one upside from it all I guess!

@bewitchingnight, yes must be the GD, thanks! Was just surprised as I had no idea until today.

@AdventuresAwait I'm not under my booking weight but was pleasantly surprised that I had gained less than 3lb despite baby being estimated at 7lb 4oz- I thought I would have put on tons.

I weighed myself yesterday and I've almost put on 10kg now 🙈. All bump and boobs though. I feel like the moment I give birth and lose a load of that weight I'm going to fall over backwards as I have to waddle so much now as my centre of gravity has changed so much haha.

That's great @KHR1. I had weight to lose before baby anyway so that makes a difference too.

@SillyBry I'm in the 2 stone club too! And still got 7 weeks to go! Feeling the same as you, all boobs and belly, and a bit thighs in the last couple of weeks. But also not looking pregnant from the back. It is what it is!

@marshmallowmode I also haven't had a scan since 20 weeks. Same here, the turning and wiggling, feeling sooo stretched. I'm sure he's lying sideways too 🙄 being naughty already!

@bluemagicalsky @sillybry approx 2 stone here too. But all boobs and bump, keep getting told I don't look pregnant from the back (aside from the waddling I reckon! 🤔😂)

Wish I was all bump and boobs ! Haven't weighed myself since the start and don't intend to, but I'm certainly fatter just about everywhere

Always been weight / health conscious but strangely, I'm very relaxed about my new size. Too many other things to think about so just trying to stay active and feel healthy

I have my csection date! It will be an august baby now and having it at 38+4 weeks so glad the end is in sight! Time to get organised have done absolutely nothing to be ready for this baby!

Hey ladies… I started washing baby clothes a couple of days ago and have put all clothes up to 3 months away ❤️… what age are you all washing up to? I’ve got clothes for 3-6 too but should I go that far?

Also someone asked me today if I’ll be ironing them…. Ironing baby clothes!! Please tell me that’s not a thing and I won’t be the only one not doing that!!

Hey ladies!
Has anyone got any tips on really sore hips, I am 33 weeks and my hips have been really bad today, struggling to walk at times with the pain.

@CherLW i have ironed all my babye things after I washed and dried them still a few things to do but there bigger sizes so I wil properly do them when I need them now xx

@Geegee20 I don’t think I can face ironing them… I think I would cry if I ironed it and it was worn for 5 mins due to sick or poop 🙈
