@AdventuresAwait I get it too! I’ve found that sleeping with my legs a bit straighter helps me. And also rather than sleeping with my pregnancy pillow between my legs I have one leg tucked in next to it and one on top. This also seems to help.

GWhiteley · 21/07/2021 09:09

@AdventuresAwait chronic cramp regularly throughout my pregnancy, soo bloody painful. I find if I haven't drunk enough water during the day that's when it comes on in the night. Then that leg will ache for the whole of the next day. Apparently pregnancy cramp is a lot worse than normal cramp

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 09:11

@adventuresawait yep. I get shin splint type pain too it's delightful!

SillyBry · 21/07/2021 10:24

I'm also in the cramp and shin splint boat! Drinking lots - and electrolytes are massively helpful!

How's everyone coping in the heat? I've barely moved all week... feel really grumpy for not exercising! So I've booked to go swimming at the local pool today as I can't face running in this! I've also got a really sore hip, so hope it might help!

We're going down to Devon to dog sit for my sister tomorrow for a week... and typically the weather is turning as soon as we arrive!! Beach time in the rain for us!! Still, I think I'll still enjoy it as I'm over 30 degrees!!

AdventuresAwait · 21/07/2021 10:40

Thank you @GummyBear91, @FTEngineerM, @D0nut, @GWhiteley, @Kirky658 and @SillyBry! Safe to say it's just cramp then! Thanks all for replying xx

Kat1112025 · 21/07/2021 10:48

Anybody else struggling with trapped wind? Apologies if this has come up before.

I've tried moving around, deflatine, peppermint tea... They help a tiny bit. It hurts and I'm fed up 😫

Krista1991 · 21/07/2021 11:51

Hello.
I’ve had my 32 week scan today and placenta is high now 🙏🏻😊🤰🏼😇

And the baby is almost 2 kg 😃

With a head down already 😇

AdventuresAwait · 21/07/2021 14:23

Yay @Krista1991, that's great news! Xx

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 14:48

@krista1991 great news!

Done our washing today, feels very real now 😍

Uranamus · 21/07/2021 14:50

Hi Ladies, I've been following this thread and just wanted to say thank you all for all your comments and suggestions which have been so helpful to read during the roller coaster ride that is pregnancy!!
FTM here, due September 21st with a baby boy - New to Mumsnet but will contribute more going forwards Smile

Krista1991 · 21/07/2021 14:54

@Kirky658 looks like you are having a girl too ❤️☺️

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 15:02

@krista1991 how did you guess hehe! That was the first load, the whites have just been hung out too. Didn't realise how much we had got!!!

@uranamus welcome! ❤️

bewitchingnight · 21/07/2021 16:42

@Kirky658 I've got some out drying as well! I kept hanging stuff out and thinking I can't believe I'll have a baby to put these on soon!

MrsTD88 · 21/07/2021 16:42

@Kirky658 ah love seeing all the baby clothes on the line. I am trying to hold off for a few weeks as the house is just a disaster at the moment and still need to paint the girls' room and take a mountain of stuff to the dump 🙈 Also waiting on a new bed arriving for our daughter which keeps getting delayed. I just want their room to be done but seems there is no end in sight.

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 16:51

@bewitchingnight tell me about it, DH helped me to hang them out and we just kept looking at each other and grinning 😂 so bizarre. When are you due again?

@mrstd88 believe me been there done the rubbish tip run too. I've got DH jetwashing and repointing the patio slabs tomorrow!

MrsTD88 · 21/07/2021 16:57

@Kirky658 so crazy how much upheaval one tiny person can cause isn't it. Oh ours could do with a jetwash... making a mental note to drop that in to conversation with DH.

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 17:11

@mrstd88 omg yes. I cleaned out our kitchen cupboards the other day. DH is a teacher so he's finished for summer now so he's mostly on gardening duties!

bewitchingnight · 21/07/2021 17:16

@Kirky658 on the 8th, 33 weeks today! 7 weeks sounds so close and yet so far at the same time though!

Kirky658 · 21/07/2021 17:18

@bewitchingnight you're a week ahead of me then I'm the 15th 😊 I said to DH she could well be here in 6 weeks! I hope she is to be honest x

bewitchingnight · 21/07/2021 17:28

@Kirky658 so exciting! I'm the same to be honest as soon as I get to 37 weeks I'll be so impatient. Maybe the one perk of having GD is that they don't like you to go over your due date so I'm glad I won't have the long wait afterwards (hope you don't either!)

Clouless · 21/07/2021 17:53

@Uranamus

Hi Ladies, I've been following this thread and just wanted to say thank you all for all your comments and suggestions which have been so helpful to read during the roller coaster ride that is pregnancy!! Hello! I'm also a FTM due September 21st 😊 hope you're doing okay!
Uranamus · 21/07/2021 18:13

@Clouless Hi, how exciting! Do you know what you're having? Hope all is going smoothly for you and you're feeling positive about things Flowers

I was lucky to have no problems until mid pregnancy but then from week 24 ish I started getting major hip pain (SPD) and had to be signed off work for 3 weeks. It was all a bit depressing to be honest to be so immobile and have everyone tell you it was only going to get worse. HOWEVER, after a few visits to a Chiropractor and practicing exercises every day I'm able to do things again, walks and yoga, very little pain and I'm in great spirits. Just praying it doesn't come back!

We are moving house in the next couple of weeks so that's a bit of a stress as we initially planned to be moved out months ago and still don't have a concrete move date, eek!

GWhiteley · 21/07/2021 18:35

@SillyBry today has been the most unbearable so far for me, but then I've had to do a lot more walking around at work than normal. My feet & ankles have swollen & my face continuously looks like I'm cooking from the inside out! I'm exhausted & not sleeping well. Luckily got the next couple of days off so can manage the heat better

Bubblegum20 · 21/07/2021 19:19

I've only just found this thread, I know I'm late to the party! I'm due 11th Sept, we've decided to have a surprise gender wise!

Anyways I've over 32 weeks now and my ankles are so swollen, I've seen a few of you have swollen ankles too, glad to know I'm not alone! My hay fever has also been on another level lately, hopefully it calms down soon!

Hope you're all keeping well in this English heat lately

SillyBry · 21/07/2021 19:41

@GWhiteley it's disgusting isn't it?! I went swimming this morning, which was lovely... but then trying to get dressed after... and putting moisturiser on... it just melted straight back off!! I've never known myself to sweat like I have this week - it's just disgusting!
I've also lost my appetite, which is probably a good thing as I'm running out of tummy space!!
My ankles aren't too swollen, but my hips have properly kicked in with pain... I've been hobbling everywhere today! I have a pregnancy massage next week, which I hope will straighten me out a bit!
Definitely feeling pregnant and fed up this week!!!
