5kg so far at 30weeks. But eating everything in sight at the moment so no doubt more will come!

Sophieandtiger · 20/07/2021 10:32

Just under 6kgs so far at 31 weeks. My weight gain was about the same at this point in my first pregnancy and then it accelerated and I put most of it on in the last few weeks, so it seems to be my pattern. I roughly put on the same amount of weight in the last 2 months as I do in the first 7!

Scotti84 · 20/07/2021 10:40

Ok so no ones reaching the 40kg mark, that's good to know. I'd lost loads the first trimester too and then put it on in the 2nd. My doc weighs me every appt so I guess they would say if something was concerning but i can't avoid seeing it in my book... can't see it on the scales anymore due to my bump 😂

SillyBry · 20/07/2021 10:56

Oh god, I've put 2 stone on. I feel like it's mostly bump, but it's quite significant!! I don't weigh myself out of habit because I can't do a lot about it during pregnancy and I just find the numbers too depressing.
I'm exercising still - and eating what I fancy, but not heaps of it, so I'll just deal with it post partum :-)

Kirky658 · 20/07/2021 11:03

10kg for me (1.5 stone) at 32 weeks tomorrow. Literally all bump. No weight on my legs, bum or anything. Keep getting told I don't look pregnant from the back 🤣

marshmallowmode · 20/07/2021 11:10

I've put 8kg or so on at 30 weeks 😳. I was a healthy weight before and it all seems to be bump and boobs as nothing else looks different. Feeling very front heavy right now 😂

AdventuresAwait · 20/07/2021 11:16

I don't have scales and the midwife doesn't weigh me so I have no idea! Wish I did now. But I feel like I've lost a bit of weight since the GD diagnosis.

D0nut · 20/07/2021 11:21

I’ve not been weighed at an appointment since 20 weeks so I’m not sure how much I’ve put on. I don’t have scales at home. But I’m feeling soooo heavy! I feel like my bump is big, my boobs are big but also my legs and bum! At 30 weeks my bump is supposedly 50th percentile so maybe I’m not as big as I feel I am (although I’m only 5ft1 so I’m sure that makes it seem bigger)

bluemagicalsky · 20/07/2021 12:26

If anyone is struggling in the heat, this cooling towel is doing wonders for me. Shorts, sports bra and this around my shoulders and arms is keeping me cool in the day. Would definitely recommend. Also using it at night.

I need to get back round to my mums and weigh myself again. I'm probably looking at around 2 stone now. Seems to be all bump, but my face is getting a little puffy now! 😕

D0nut · 20/07/2021 12:29

My friend works at John Lewis and just alerted me to the Ergo Omni 360 mesh in black being on sale at £51.70 (normally £158). www.johnlewis.com/ergobaby-omni-360-mesh-baby-carrier/onyx-black/p3501816
It’s just the black colour that has the huge discount for some reason. I’ve bought one!

SillyBry · 20/07/2021 12:41

@D0nut That's a cracking price! I have an ergo baby 360 and it's amazing. Such a great piece of kit :-)

@bluemagicalsky Cooling towels have been my saviour too - makes SUCH a difference!

AdventuresAwait · 20/07/2021 13:00

@D0nut, I just bought one too! Have been wanting to buy a carrier but they were expensive so this has really helped. Thanks SO much for sharing xx

marshmallowmode · 20/07/2021 13:32

@D0nut oh wow what a bargain. I wasn't going to buy a sling or carrier until baby arrived but that's a seriously good discount. Just bought one, thanks for sharing!!

SP2Bx · 20/07/2021 16:23

@D0nut my days I had no idea baby carriers were so expensive! I'm getting given one by my sister-in-law... it won't be anything special, but until I know if we use it or not (we're hardly adventurers) i haven't added one to my baby list. Absolute bargain though if you know you'll make use of it!!!

8kg weight gain for me at 31 weeks... defo all bump, boobs and I've noticed a bit recently legs and bum 😔 but then I have just been eating whatever I want 🙈 better keep an eye on it as I've heard it's this end but where people gain all the weight!!!

bewitchingnight · 20/07/2021 16:34

Haha @D0nut that's such a deal! I just went to look and it's sold out! My friend has given me her wrap (?) type sling - one that's a long stretchy bit of fabric that I'll have to watch a few videos to get the tying right! There used to be a sling library near me which hopefully will be open in September - they're so expensive so it'd be good to try a few out first.

I've put on 5kg at 33 weeks - been maintaining / losing in 3rd trimester though but only because of GD, I was being too indulgent in the 2nd trimester I think!

Hopefulmummie · 20/07/2021 19:06

Ive put on around 11lbs. I seem to be all bump dont think I've put on weight anywhere else.

Im now self isolating as my brother tested positive and i was with him. Freaking out about having caught covid as i haven't veen vaccinated yet. Also missing my growth scan next week now :(

AdventuresAwait · 20/07/2021 19:38

Oh no @Hopefulmummie, sorry to hear that. Hopefully you won't have caught it. What a shame to have to miss your scan. Sending a hug xx

Kirky658 · 20/07/2021 21:53

@hopefulmummie fingers crossed you get away with it and haven't caught it. Thinking of you xx

SP2Bx · 20/07/2021 22:10

@Hopefulmummie Oh no! It's rife at the minute. Fingers crossed you'll be ok. Let the hospital know ASAP and hopefully they can get it rebooked for as close as possible to you coming out of isolation?

Hopefulmummie · 20/07/2021 23:04

Thanks everyone :) feeling ok so far so hopefully it hasn't been passed on

GWhiteley · 21/07/2021 04:50

I've put on 6kg since getting pregnant, it was 7, but the gd has made me lose some. My face, thighs & bum have definitely paid the price!

GWhiteley · 21/07/2021 04:52

@Hopefulmummie hopefully you haven't caught it. Our builder has tested positive & since hubby had been relatively near him though outside, he did a lateral flow test Sunday just to be safe. I do them for work anyway so did one too. Both negative thankfully!

AdventuresAwait · 21/07/2021 08:17

Hi all. Does anyone wake up with leg cramp in the morning? I've had it today & didn't know if it was something that can happen in pregnancy as I've never had it before...

GummyBear91 · 21/07/2021 08:28

@AdventuresAwait yup... It's definitely a pregnancy related thing. I've had it a couple of times. I've found if I don't point my toes and pull by toes up at a right angle to my ankle, it threatens to do it but passes.

Enjoy! They don't know why it happens but it does to a lot of people while pregnant.

FTEngineerM · 21/07/2021 08:52

I have started getting those too @AdventuresAwait I’ve read that extra fluid and calcium helps. Yet to confirm that tho 😬
