@Taybz I've had a really sore crotch for a lot of this pregnancy... One side of my crotch aches and gets a bit numb feeling! It's horrid, but it's just a dull ache so I've kind of got used to it.
Waaay too much information, but one side of my labia is swollen as well... joy :(

@FTEngineerM I had awful pigment on my top lip in my first pregnancy... it's not appeared yet this time, but there is still time!

I'm 31 weeks on Tuesday and am definitely starting to get a bit of acid and indigestion/sicky feelings already. I feel really hungry and then no appetite when I get food and feel sick. Bleurgh!!

SHB2021 · 04/07/2021 21:28

Could I poss be added on? Not sure how this works? Due 28th Sept Smile

Scotti84 · 04/07/2021 21:32

Im feeling like ive been punched in the ribs, shes laying pretty high up and getting quite active. Its lovely to feel her moving but getting a bit sore in places too. 8 weeks to go!

Taybz · 04/07/2021 22:36

@Sept2021xxxx I don't know whether to cry or laugh! Oh the pain!

@SillyBry no tmi here haha I've also got swollen labia and thought I'd knocked it somewhere somehow 🙄 😆

Seriously though, does anyone have any tips for this crotch pain? It's quite the pain!

leftitlate37 · 05/07/2021 11:36

DELIVERY! wahoo, pram and car seat have arrived, this feels more real! eeek! Also built (use the term loosely!) the next to me cot at the weekend. its been a long time coming but finally think if baby arrived at the earlier end of full term we might not totally be up s**t creek.
swear if one more person tells me, oh u dont look 7mo pregnant i might scream - i know its probably rubbish if you have a nice bump and people ask how many you are having etc, but equally, the looks of "due september, really? you haven't got much of a bump" - then makes u feel like u should as such be feeling totally fine. no no, hes kicking my ribs, im shattered, and believe me know full well im pregnant! rant over.
hows everyone doing today?! crotch pain/back pain/rib pain all ok?

Sillysocks998 · 05/07/2021 11:57

Morning Ladies,
@leftitlate37 I'm coming up to 7 months and no1 notices my bump. My clothes are baggy though. Oh well!
Just a question regarding tidying the house before baby arrives. Obviously I want to do as much cleaning as possible, but I live in a town house, it's so tiring! How much cleaning will you all do? Are we talking clinical clean or whatever you can manage. Sounds a daft question but I want the house to be safe for baby. I'm a FTM.
Also how do you all feel about Boris's freedom day rules of potentially no masks etc. I'll be keeping mine on until the winter passes even after all my jabs. I'd rather have no germs and illness. Xx

Bubbles1st · 05/07/2021 12:03

@Sillysocks998 I have cleaner starting this weekend!! Whoop. Decided it's an incredible use of some of my maternity allowance for my sanity.

I am keeping things cleanish and tidy at the minute but will soon struggle with the bottom of the bath and shower tray etc.

My DP is taking on so much extra at work (we work together) and in the garden it isn't fair to expect him to do more.

I know it might seem like a privilege but she is £12 and hour and I'm having her 2 hours fortnightly just to help me keep on top of what I'm missing ....

Oh and change the bloody bed sheets as this is currently taking way to long 🤣

OP posts:
Sillysocks998 · 05/07/2021 12:21

@Bubbles1st yes that's a good idea actually. As I get nearer I might invest in one too for a few weeks until I can do it again myself. I just can't get on the floors now. Absolutely annoys me when I drop something. 😭. We're having our oven cleaned and carpets deep cleaned at the end of July. We've got a bengal cat. The cleaner could help me with the bathrooms🤔😁. Good shout. Xx

Bubbles1st · 05/07/2021 12:59

Yes @Sillysocks998 do it!

I justified it but knowing I would carry on doing what I could, it's almost like a top up clean.

Then once baby is here and my mums starts to come over once a week to help, she can do it 🤣 (hopefully!)

OP posts:
KHR1 · 05/07/2021 13:32

@Sillysocks998 I'll try and do a decent clean before baby is here and I want the living room carpet shampooing (we've wanted it doing for a while) but nothing huge.
I know everyone is different but I'm dreading 19th July if people don't have to wear masks in public. I barely go out as it is as rates where I live and work are really high and I worry about how much higher they will get once the masks are off - I'll definitely be keeping mine on and distancing where I can until at least when baby is here. Currently having to self isolate until my DD gets her covid test results back as she has a high temp and cough. Unfortunately I'm supposed to be having a growth scan and consultant appointment tomorrow morning and it's not looking like we are going :(

leftitlate37 · 05/07/2021 15:15

Ah @KHR1 hope results come back quick so u can make appt tomorrow:( and thar your daughter is OK of course.
Totally with u guys on masks. Starting to panic me now...ppl don't care much for distancing as it is so bit worried when no limits on numbers, no social distancing and no masks.had jabs but not like guarantees u won't get ill.
@Bubbles1st cleaner sounds an ace plan...dosh well spent that is! We needed the oven cleaned but luckily the new kitchen meant we didn't need thar doing at least haha. Got rid of all carpets downstairs cos of the dogs, but would really fancy deep cleaning the car cos it's gross.maybe I'll book a wash n valet!
@Sillysocks998 think will just keep normal cleaning...I mean, if I get enthusiastic I might try do a bit more of a deep clean, but still got some house chaos where works were done downstairs so quite dusty and not finished yet. I think I need to concentrate more on getting rid of crap that just piles up etc...and shredding old paperwork!!! Not to say our house is clean ....no chance....dogs mean we can't be house proud haha.
Anyone else with pets got the fear the baby will be allergic?! Am so paranoid!

SillyBry · 05/07/2021 15:21

@KHR1 Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that - there is so much going around at the moment! My daughter had a horrid chest infection last week, we're finally on the last day of antibiotics here... woop woop!
If it's only her that's symptomatic, you should be able to go - but I guess noone is keen to look after her, if she's poorly! Hopefully her results come back quickly - ours arrived next day.

I agree, I will still be wearing my mask come the 19th July. Although hospitalisations and death rates seem low still, numbers and cases are rising madly here in the home counties. I don't want it - even if it is a mild illness, thank you!

@Sillysocks998 No mad cleaning here - I would love to, but haven't the energy alongside working etc. I'm just keeping surfaces/kitchen/bathrooms clean etc. I have a list of jobs for hubby when he finishes work in a few weeks - cleaning the gutters, painting the fence etc, which usually I would have a go at, but I'll let him get on with it!

GWhiteley · 05/07/2021 15:36

I know it's been discussed before, but I forgot to make a note at the time. For those that have been given/bought 2nd hand mosses baskets can anyone recommend a good mattress for them? Mamas & papas ones seem to have very mixed reviews. thank you in advance!

SillyBry · 05/07/2021 15:42

@GWhiteley I was planning on getting this: www.cuddleco.co.uk/products/little-me-moses-basket-66-x-28cm
I don't plan to spend a fortune as they will only be in it a matter of months :-)

KHR1 · 05/07/2021 15:52

Thanks @leftitlate37
@SillyBry thank you, hope your daughter is feeling better! It's awful when they are ill isn't it :( ooh I don't know know why but I thought I had to isolate with her too. DH could look after her tomorrow but I assumed I was locked away until we found out.

Cleaners sound like an amazing idea! I remember a few days before DD was born I had major nesting and went on a cleaning spree (was some weird burst of energy/motivation!)

Those who have started packing their hopsital bag or have made lists, how many sleepsuits/vests are you taking? I remember running out so quickly last time but not sure how many I packed.

crobo87 · 05/07/2021 16:47

Hi everyone. I've just got home from a 24 hour stay in hospital. Went in with reduced movements and feeling unwell. Baby was fine thankfully but my blood pressure was through the roof.
Had to stay in to make sure it came down, which it did with medication which I now have to stay on & have weekly BP checks with my midwife.

Had my growth scan today too. Legs still measuring small and he's plotting just above the 3rd percentile. The sonographer spotted something on his brain that looked larger than normal (CSP) which they don't actually measure but appeared larger.
They want me to have a scan with fetal Medicine next Monday so they can have a look. My anxiety is now through the roof 😭😭.

Hope everyone is well xx

Bubbles1st · 05/07/2021 17:34

@crobo87 so sorry to hear you have had such abs unsettling 24hours. A week much feel a long time to wait for the scan. Can it be seen a good thing they aren't rushing it through? Did they offer any information ?

Such a shame you've got anxiety at this point after so much in the early days.

We are hear if you need to sound out and all support you.
Fingers crossed the week goes quickly and it will all be ok

OP posts:
crobo87 · 05/07/2021 17:45

Thanks @Bubbles1st
Consultant didn't say much at all other than the CSP can vary in size from person to person but wanted it checking anyway.

I've tried googling (I know 🙈🙈) but there's very little on there. I think mainly because we don't measure it in the UK only check for it's presence if that makes sense.
I

AdventuresAwait · 05/07/2021 18:35

@KHR1, I read on one list 10 vests and 10 sleepsuits... but would be interested to hear what information others have? Bag is almost packed apart from I need a few more sleepsuits in the next size.

@crobo87, sorry you're having a worrying time. I hope the week goes quickly for you but as @Bubbles1st said, maybe a good sign that they're not rushing it through? Sending a hug xx

Kirky658 · 05/07/2021 18:39

@leftitlate37 just realised it was you who commented on my post about the dog misbehaving 🤣 i knew I recognised your username!

Heartburn, sore ankles, sore back and achy bump here seem to be the main issues. Oh and the worst literal mood swings I've ever had in my entire life.

@gwhiteley if it helps I got a moses mattress from George for £9.99 which seems decent enough! Don't think it's anything ground breaking but looks OK.

@crobo87 bless you what a stressful time you're having! I'm glad they're keeping a close eye on you particularly with your blood pressure. Have they suggested aspirin to you?

We've got our weekend of antenatal classes this weekend, can't work out if I'm nervous or excited!

Oh and @cherlw my blankets arrived from very today, same ones you ordered, they're lovely!

D0nut · 05/07/2021 18:41

Sorry to hear this @crobo87. It sounds like they are being thorough and looking out for you. I hope this week flys by for you.

crobo87 · 05/07/2021 18:42

@Kirky658 I'm already on aspirin for low Papp-a.
They've put me on some blood pressure medication which seems to be working 🤞🏻 xx

Kirky658 · 05/07/2021 18:45

@crobo87 phew thank goodness for that. Hopefully the combo of the two will get you on the mend. Take care and rest up. X

KHR1 · 05/07/2021 19:09

Thanks @AdventuresAwait sounds like I need to pack quite a few more then!

Sorry you've had a difficult 24 hours @crobo87 hope the scan at fetal medicine goes well next week and the wait for it goes quickly

MrsTD88 · 05/07/2021 19:39

@SillyBry I have bookmarked the mattress you have reccomended. My cousin passed on her moses basket, we are just using it for downstairs during the day but still going to get a new mattress.

I had my GTT this morning. My results have already been posted on my app and thankfully all normal. Also had my first growth scan and baby is measuring fine and weighing roughly 2.6lb. Back again in 4 weeks for another one.

@KHR1 I hope you manage to get to your appointment tomorrow. I think it is only people who have been contacted who have to isolate but I could be wrong.

@crobo87 so sorry you're having such a tough time of it. Hopefully the fetal medicine scan is all fine and just precautionary. Do you have any plans this week so that time goes a little faster?
