@Sparklestars86 thank you ! Just set off to the hospital now, scans at 1.30 🙈 I'm glad I had an early scan. Definitely put my mind at ease as I haven't really had any symptoms at all! X

Cumspe · 27/05/2021 13:23

@Sair44411 and @PeanuttyButter I am sorry to hear your sad news. I know nothing I can say can make you feel better. Thinking of you

I have been offline most of this week it’s been a mental and had some bleeding this week including large clots so I am bricking it for my scan today. I have my 12 week scan next week but couldn’t wait that long I just need to know. Wish me luck

Mayneedanextraroom · 27/05/2021 13:34

Hope all goes well at your scans today @chloed121 and @Cumspe - it sounds like you’ve had a scary week, thinking of you and hope all goes well x

Horehound · 27/05/2021 13:34

Fingers are crossed @Cumspe

Good luck @chloed121!

AnonymousXXIX · 27/05/2021 14:14

Good luck @chloed121 and @Cumspe!!

Em39ma · 27/05/2021 14:32

Got my 12 weeks scan through for the 18th June. Will be 12+5 so good timing. Had loads of other dates too as I’m consultant led.
Hope those with scans today go well.

chloed121 · 27/05/2021 15:16

All was perfect at the scan! Baby wouldn't stop wiggling around so was hard to get a good picture of the pickle! Due date is 3rd December! Xx

Horehound · 27/05/2021 16:55

Hurray!

With nine my little baby barely moved and seemed so slow and lethargic. Looked like a slow heartbeat to me too but I think I'm just looking for stuff to worry about haha.

Recently I've felt thing and wondered if that's me feeling the baby. I think for subsequent babies things happen earlier? But still, 13 + 4 still seems very early for that!

Cumspe · 27/05/2021 17:19

Thanks for the positive vibes. The scan went well and both babies are doing well with strong heartbeats though they couldn’t get to the bottom of the bleeding. Excited and nervous about the 12week scan next week. This is one heck of a rollercoaster I don’t think I was prepared for all this. 😬

@chloed121 glad your scan went well today.

Welcome to any newbies

hporter10 · 27/05/2021 17:34

Hello all!

I'm 10 weeks today! I'm slightly worried... Scan is not until June 15th (I'll be 12 + 5 by that point). I was suffering with awful nausea all day, every day, sore boobs, exhausted and minor cramps. Belly started expanding very quickly when I hit 9 weeks.

Since about 2 days ago, the only symptom I've had was the odd nausea when I first wake up, constant need to wee, stomach still large, strong blue veins on boobs.

Should I worry/contact midwife/book private scan? My mum thinks I may just be further along that I think and the symptoms are just calming down?

Looks like you are 3 days ahead of me!! Do you feel anxious that your scan is so far away?
Sparklestars86 · 27/05/2021 18:00

Pleased everyone's scans went well today. 💕☺️
By my own calculations I'm exactly 11 weeks today and have had a thunderclap of a headache all day so have broken and just taken some paracetamol.
My dad had heart surgery today (all seems to have gone well) so I'm hoping the headache is just the stress and tension of that but if it is a sign of things to come and here to stay as a symptom for a while - I do suffer with migraines- how much paracetamol is okay to take would people say? I've just read take as little as you can but no real suggested dose. Xx

Pineapple87 · 27/05/2021 18:26

@hporter10 hi I’m 10+ 2 and exactly the same boat as you I do feel sick all day but haven’t been sick for a good week, symptoms do calm down I’d try not to worry my first scan isn’t until the 16th I will be 13+1
I’m not too worried that symptoms are easing it’s quite nice although I’m struggling to go to the loo so I’m so full constantly.

Thank you, it is helpful knowing someone else is feeling the same. I am lucky, haven't had any problems with digestive system so fingers crossed that stays that way. Nothing worse than feeling backed up AND sick 😂

TreeRoad · 27/05/2021 18:54

Nice to see everyone’s scans went well today!

We booked our gender scan tonight. I’ll be 17 weeks when we go, which should be far on enough to get (an almost) definite answer.

The place we’re going to gives you the option of a big balloon with coloured confetti inside so you can do a gender reveal at home. Debating this, although the anticipation will kill me.

Has anyone started thinking of names? I’m finding it much harder than I expected!

Em39ma · 27/05/2021 19:52

@hporter10 I had a scan a couple of weeks back at 7+5. I’m now on 2 different medications for Hg so I’m not worried.
If my symptoms went I would be a right mess. Unfortunately been there twice before, neither had a good outcome.
It’s actually a good date for us, as the week before we are away, should help keep my mind off it.
I really think these tablets are working, was able to go out and play with dd in the garden today and just went for a little walk. Still feel very sick from around 4 clock, but can live with it if that’s all I’m going to get now.
Weather has definitely cheer me up too, so much better when the weather is good.

Shazza86 · 27/05/2021 22:26

@hporter10 I had exactly the same thing a few weeks ago and all was fine so please don't worry. It's so common for symptoms to come and go x

burtle4 · 28/05/2021 10:28

Hello, can I join? I've been lurking for ages but not confident enough to join in case something goes wrong! I had a private scan yesterday at 10+1 and finally feel like I can start to believe this is happening. Our first pregnancy ended in MMC at 13 weeks and I've had two successful pregnancies since then, but I don't think the fear of history repeating itself ever leaves. If all goes according to plan I'll be due 22nd Dec, a bit too close to Christmas for my liking but it took us 2.5 years to get a bfp this time around so I'm not complaining! The first trimester feels like it's going soooo slowly and I don't even have my scan date through yet x

AnonymousXXIX · 28/05/2021 10:47

Hi @burtle4 : )

My due date is currently Christmas eve : o but like you, I am not complaining, because it took 1.5 years to conceive and we were in the middle of starting ICSI because we thought we couldn't conceive at all. Even if the child hates us forever for having the worst birthday, it'll be so worth it.

So, so scared for MMC though. The internet says chances are so low, like 4%, but it seems that sadly almost everyone on Mumsnet has experience with this. I am really sorry you had to go through that : (

burtle4 · 28/05/2021 10:57

@AnonymousXXIX I think it's very often because people who have gone through loss very often use sites like mumsnet to speak to others who have been through the same situation, I know that's why I do. I think the chances of MMC are thankfully very low which is good because it's just an awful way to find out, especially when you're so full of hope. Just remember that there's 96% chance that you won't have one and try and keep positive. Have you had any scans yet? I just couldn't wait until 12 weeks so hoped an early private one would ease my mind, which thankfully it did!x

AnonymousXXIX · 28/05/2021 11:09

@burtle4 thanks for the reassurance : ) I had a scan at 6 weeks and I have another one next week at 9 weeks, before a 12-week scan end of June (there is some confusion over my dates atm, might be a week further along). My lovely midwife recognised my anxiety and booked me a few extra. If we were to lose this pregnancy, it's back to ICSI, because a second miracle has been deemed very unlikely.

burtle4 · 28/05/2021 11:17

@AnonymousXXIX ah that's so lovely of your midwife to pick up on that and reassure you. If you've seen a heartbeat already that's a really good sign, massive luck for next week's scan. I feel the same that this pregnancy is so fragile, I'm 39 and we really feel like this is our last chance to complete our family. My other two are already 9 and 7 so the gap just keeps getting bigger and I just keep getting older 😂 It took so long to fall pregnant this time that I couldn't go through it again, I just wouldn't have the energy and don't have time on my side x

Horehound · 28/05/2021 12:34

Omg I'm watching "baby's first day" on Amazon, they are just 20min episodes. Fuck me the first one, one of the women giving birth all her bloody family are in the delivery room, the mother has a camera and is right in there taking a photo just before the baby is crowning. The sister is just doing nothing at all except watching in silence. What the hell? Totally overbearing

flowersatthecastle · 28/05/2021 12:37

@burtle4 @AnonymousXXIX as a Christmas baby myself I can confirm that Christmas birthdays are officially rubbish, but I reckon your children will forgive you Wink just do not allow anyone to combine Christmas and birthday presents, that's the worst!!

Welcome @burtle4. Sorry to hear about your previous loss.
