@Moo37 so sorry to hear your sad news. Please take care of yourself!

Elizabeth134 · 07/07/2021 22:46

@Moo37 so sorry to hear this and hope you have lots of support. There are quite a lot of services available online if you don’t find the right people through your local GP/hospital xx

Has anyone had a gender scan yet? We went today & finding out later tonightGrinHave a girl and boy already so this baby is the decider 😂

HelloWorld2577 · 09/07/2021 17:09

Should've said sexing scan... don't know why clinics call them gender scans especially as they're medically trained usually so they know gender is different to sex but anyway😂Has anyone been to a 'sexing' scan 😂

Em39ma · 09/07/2021 19:02

We’ve got our tomorrow @HelloWorld2577. I have one dd, my brother and SIL have 3 DD. My dad is praying for a boy, I’m not sure it’s going to happen, but might be surprised.
We were meant to hear about trisomy tests today, but nothing. Seeing the midwife tomorrow, but normally a different midwife that gives you the news. 14 days of waiting has been horrible, hope they tell us on Monday.

Scarletpig1 · 09/07/2021 20:17

Had a gender scan today. I'm having a second little boy. I think our older one will be pleased to have a brother 🥰

@Moo37 so so sorry to hear this. Sending you so much love x

Shazza86 · 09/07/2021 21:23

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? Nearly half way for some of us now. A week and 3 days until my 20 week scan. I've started to feel movement for a week now, however yesterday nothing and I really worried. I spoke to the maternity unit in the evening and they said to pop down and used the doppler. All was well, baby had just moved in a little bit, also they think it was in the breach position (obviously having a great time in there) and they said I needed to drink more fluid. I was so relieved. Hope you're all keeping well? X

HelloWorld2577 · 09/07/2021 23:18

@Em39ma I'm sure it isn't anything to worry about if you still haven't been contacted. I was told no news= good news. I did however get my results after 4 days in the post which were low risk so they just must be sloths at your clinic lol

HelloWorld2577 · 09/07/2021 23:19

@Scarletpig1 oh how cute! I have one girl, one boy... and found out today.... another girl. I'm over the moon. 2 boys and I would've been outnumbered with football boots😂

Theawkwardblonde · 10/07/2021 12:18

Hope everyone getting on okay. I've got a new pregnancy symptom that's started on top of blooming sickness-migraines. I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and literally had a migraine since Thursday night 😞 nothing I do is shifting it! A quick google says it's hormonal but it's really getting me down.

Elizabeth134 · 10/07/2021 15:19

Hi @Theawkwardblonde mine haven’t quite hit migraine levels (the only
Migraines i’ve had I’ve been vomiting and unable to see properly) but I’ve had a bad headache for about two weeks (I’m nearly 17 weeks). Spoke to my midwife yesterday and she said to just keep taking paracetamol but it doesn’t even seem to be hitting the sides!
Might try some alternatives and have also made an Accupunture appointment

Em39ma · 10/07/2021 17:34

We had our gender scan today, we are team Boy 👦. So one of each which is nice.

Sparklestars86 · 10/07/2021 19:00

Lovely news @Em39ma! 💙 I feel like boys are edging the girls at the moment..! Xx

Pineapple87 · 10/07/2021 19:03

Congratulations @Em39ma
x

Mayneedanextraroom · 11/07/2021 09:11

Congratulations @Scarletpig1on your little boy 💙 and @Em39ma on your little boy too 🥰

Congratulations @HelloWorld2577 on your little girl ❤️

It doesn’t feel possible to be at the stage already to find out what sex the baby is. Time seems to be flying. I don’t think we will be finding out with this baby, thinking of having a surprise, we had a surprise with baby 1 found out with baby 2 and thinking as this will be our last baby of having a surprise (although I am desperate to know!) I felt the baby kick from the outside this morning which felt very surreal!

HPmagic · 11/07/2021 11:04

Congratulations on the boys 🎉. I have my gender scan tomorrow, I cannot guess why I'm having as I know some people have a feeling but I don't at all. I am happy either way and just hope baby is well. I already have a DD and she is happy for either also.

HelloWorld2577 · 11/07/2021 13:40

@HPmagic so exciting! I'm glad your DD is welcoming to either. When I had my son she asked if we could take him back because she wanted a girl 😂So I'm glad she'll be happy to keep this baby and not want to return it to sender

AnonymousXXIX · 12/07/2021 07:41

My symptoms have finally been lot less bad this week (15.5 weeks) (less nausea, less heartburn) - which is awesome!! But I was hoping they'd be replaced by something like flutters, or a bump. Nothing. Now I don't feel pregnant at all and it scares me so much : ( : ( : (

Em39ma · 12/07/2021 08:09

@AnonymousXXIX is this your first? I am feeling kicks and flutters but this is number 2, with dd I didn’t feel any thing until about 20/22 weeks.

Pineapple87 · 12/07/2021 08:50

I felt like I wasn’t pregnant for a couple of weeks, then boom sickness came back, and I still feel sick all the time after eating or drinking anything, I’ve had a few kicks and twice I’ve felt baby turn over it’s so strange this is second child & im 17 weeks today.
It will come soon everyone is different X

AnonymousXXIX · 12/07/2021 09:03

@Em39ma yes first! I have been trying soooo hard to feel something, but I am pretty sure it's just digestion, if anything at all.

Mayneedanextraroom · 12/07/2021 09:52

@AnonymousXXIX I didn’t feel my first two until after the 20 week scan, midwife couldn’t believe I couldn’t feel my second when we could hear him kicking away on the Doppler, but I genuinely couldn’t feel a thing. It really panicked me, I had a anterior placenta with both so I think that didn’t help, placenta is in a different position this pregnancy. Don’t panic though everyone is different, and although I felt some proper kicks yesterday I haven’t felt much since - just some flutters so I think they can so easily tuck themselves away as they’re still so small x

HelloWorld2577 · 12/07/2021 12:24

@AnonymousXXIX at 17 weeks and being your first pregnancy I really wouldn't worry. I didn't feel my first move until 20 weeks. Second felt move at 13 weeks. Third still haven't felt anything and 16+5. I have an anterior placenta (where it's at the front so stops you feeling movements as early), but also had this with second and still felt move early so I find it weird! But it'll soon come!

Horehound · 12/07/2021 12:56

I have my 20 week scan on Wednesday so will found out what we are having then. I too am happy either way. DH I think wants a girl so we have one of each.
I'm feeling loads of kicks and i get sore tummy pains in the night, don't remember that with DS
