you are doing so well with the running @SillyBry must have been amazing! I had about 10 days off, then tried 2 x 15 mins sunday and yesterday -OWWWWWWWW. bladder has improved but my glute, hip and quad felt like theyd been mangled or id done some ridiculous marathon. hoping to do more strength stuff and would love to be able to build up to even 30 mins - anything for my sanity! Swimming and walking has to cut it at the mo....
Love hearing about everyones baby movements! patterns here sound really similar, im wondering if its to do with when have eaten, as get that morning, afternoon and evening pattern. Definitely evening when most active, and hes started not just booting my tummy, but seems to be booting right above where he will eventually appear from and my bladder! feels like am gonna wet myself! Also hoping that he will at some point move and not be trying to escape feet first haha
had no idea about where my placenta was, but just looked at my notes, says anterior. seems weird really as felt movements quite early on id say.
is anyone else on here a bit of a health worrier? I am terrible normally, but had been amazingly calm and restrained for me for about 4 months. now im convinced that all my moles and freckles are changing and convincing myself this teeny tiny patch of slightly rough skin on my forehead is skin cancer. dont wanna ring the docs as feel like im just a bit over hormonal and worrying!

crobo87 · 18/05/2021 16:36

I have an anterior placenta too. I've been quite lucky with feeling movements I think but the last few days I think he's moved positions as I can't feel them in the same place although they are still reasonably regular. I generally don't feel him much during the day, i think because I'm working and doing usual household stuff. I tend to feel him lots in the evenings and he's normally always awake when I'm trying to sleep 😂

Kirky658 · 18/05/2021 17:06

@sillybry I'm so so jealous of your running 😢 I'm walking about 6 miles a day with the dog at the mo (poor little bugger) and like you @leftitlate37 walking isn't cutting it for me. Haven't been able to go swimming yet due to this sodding thrush so hoping to go this weekend.

I am very much a health obsessed nut and always worry there's something wrong with me, DH, the dog.. I could go on.

Bubbles1st · 18/05/2021 17:20

@Fatmunks welcome, do you know what you're having and I can add you to the next list update.

@Sceptre86 how are you today? Home hopefully and well.

SillyBry · 18/05/2021 17:23

The advantage of pushing a 4 year old in a buggy is you HAVE to go slower... so my lungs felt better than they have done in weeks! And at least I had the buggy to lean on on the flat/downhills, which seemed to help the groin/muscle aches, or perhaps it was just going slower... but within 15 minutes of stopping, my hips were screaming! I feel like I've aged 10 years at least over the afternoon!
I just take each week as it comes - every week I manage to do stuff is a bonus for staying active!! Today felt a hundred times better than the last few runs, so I feel much more positive that I'm not giving up just yet, but we will see!

I've just booked in a pregnancy massage with my friend, which I'm super excited about. My back and shoulders are really sore from sleeping on my side and constant home working, so really looking forward to getting straightened out!!!

Fatmunks · 18/05/2021 19:09

@Bubbles1st we're having a boy :)

@SillyBry Pregnancy massage sounds lush!

bluemagicalsky · 18/05/2021 19:34

@SillyBry Enjoy your pregnancy massage. I had one at the weekend and it was incredible! However, I was a bit confused as I was asked to lay on my back for part of it, so would be interested to know your experience and others. I wasn't concerned as the nhs website says about the risk after 28 weeks, but I was still surprised. Anyone else had this?

Sceptre86 · 18/05/2021 20:09

@Bubbles1st I got discharged this afternoon and have been told to take some time off work and rest which I will. I thought this pregnancy might be the only one of mine to be intervention free, sadly not. I have been warned if I have any similar episodes I will be put on bed rest. Just setting myself small goals and have 15 weeks to go. Dh has been great looking after me and my ds won't leave my side. My dd asked if our baby was really sick and I had to tell her baby was fine just mummy needs to get a bit stronger.

Before all this kicked off I went home and saw my sister and compared bumps. She is super happy that we are expecting at the same time and my kids are very excited about the baby in her tummy. I am really excited to be an auntie.

@Fatmunks congratulations on your baby boy x

RaeRae84 · 18/05/2021 20:17

@bluemagicalsky I have had a few massages post 12 weeks and she always makes me stay on my side. Even with no bump or anything. I normally have a cushion in between my knees and one for my head. Yesterday she propped me up more. I have no idea on what's right or not but she's told me no massage on my back and no exercises on it.

Glad you're at home now @Sceptre86 look after yourself 💗

SillyBry · 18/05/2021 20:36

I haven’t got my massage until next Friday, but I shall report back. My friend mostly does sports massage (but is obviously qualified for pregnancy massage too...). But I’m hopeful that she will still get into my knots and sore bits as my poor body feels a bit battered at the moment!!
I do get the impression that I’ll mostly be on my side - but we shall see!
I’ve just bought a little wedge type pregnancy pillow to keep me on my side as I always wake up on my back!

Kirky658 · 18/05/2021 20:36

@sceptre86 so glad you are back home and resting up. Did they find out what the issue was? Best way to do it, 15 weeks is no time at all. Take it easy xx

Kat1112025 · 18/05/2021 20:57

Hi,

New to the thread, FTM expecting a little boy 💙 on 27th September.

Also have an anterior placenta and haven't felt any proper kicks yet (although it's all new to me so I'm not sure what they should feel like!) Just lots of squirmy movements at the moment.

@Bubbles1st can I be added to the next thread please 🙏

bluemagicalsky · 18/05/2021 22:59

Thanks @RaeRae84 I completely agree. Think I'll try and find somewhere else for next time and ask some questions before booking
Thanks @SillyBry something nice to look forward to! I'm the same for sleeping, the pregnancy pillow seems to be working well thankfully

Rubyrecka · 19/05/2021 00:11

Could you add me please? I’m due 29th

CherLW · 19/05/2021 00:29

@leftitlate37 I’ve been on and off worrying about a couple of moles I have on my body! I know one of them has always been there but it seems to now be darker and bigger! Then I found another which I’m sure wasn’t there (it probably was) but it looks darker than I would expect it too! I read online that moles can change colours like the pigments in our nipples do during pregnancy... I’m keeping an eye on them tho but I’m sure it’s just another one of those pregnancy side effects!

Kirky658 · 19/05/2021 02:42

Oh my god I am so sick of waking up at this time to pee, being Roasting hot and then not being able to fall back asleep 🙁

Squibble84 · 19/05/2021 03:01

I’m awake too! 😫 About to push my snoring DH out the bed! 😅

Welcome to the newbies! Xx

Bubbles1st · 19/05/2021 07:56

@Rubyrecka welcome, do you know what you're having?

OP posts:
bewitchingnight · 19/05/2021 08:46

3am is my need to wee then lie awake for an hour time too, although this morning I had a very kicky little girl for company!

Krista1991 · 19/05/2021 09:51

Hello. Is anyone having a low posterior placenta? When I’ve had my 20 week scan, the doctor said the placenta is low and need to do a scan at 32 weeks to check again 😳

Thanks!

GWhiteley · 19/05/2021 09:52

@Kirky658 & everyone else, so glad I'm not on my own with this! I get up, go for a wee, get back into bed & im too hot. Then I'm too cold & I lie awake for at least an hr & a half not able to get back to sleep. It's been like this since week 4 or 5 😩

Scotti84 · 19/05/2021 10:08

I'm the same, 5:30 every morning, and if I don't get up to go i get kicked, almost like she's saying go to the loo I need more space!

On a different topic, what are the signs/chances of blood clots and dvt etc? I've had a weird feeling on one place on my leg for the past week or so, there's nothing to see but it's like like numb spot. It might be to do with a nerve being compressed, I'm at the dr on Tuesday so I'll ask him then but I'm not wanting to google because I know it'll just tell me worst case scenarios. Anyone else got or had something similar?

Kirky658 · 19/05/2021 11:21

Glad to know it isn't just me having these nocturnal nightmares (no pun intended). I think that's why I'm so tired all the time because it's disrupting my sleep. Can't even blame it on her kicking me as I can't feel much of it 🤣 I was panicking yesterday as I didn't feel her as much as the day before but I know at 23 weeks it's not worth worrying about yet.

FTEngineerM · 19/05/2021 11:33

Aww I am hating the night time toilet runs☹️ I wake up DC1 every time so I end up lying there bursting but hoping I’ll fall back asleep which never happens 😂.

If I moved my water intake to earlier in the day and didn’t have anything later on, would that help?

Fatmunks · 19/05/2021 11:37

Congratulations @Kat1112025

and thank you @Sceptre86
