Hi all!

Just got my BFP! Approximately 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date calculator has put me to give birth around 8th January. Feeling so nervous, have had two MCs and then thankfully a much loved DC. Symptoms currently are extremely sore boobs, mild cramping, and upper hip / thigh pain on my right leg! Would love to chat to others who've just found out and want somewhere to refer back to!

@Blueeyedgirl21 thanks.. aware of the threshold & that I'll prob still go into a testing frenzy then lol preparing myself not to panic & to test every other day if it doesn't show 3+ testing. Saturday I'll be 5w2d !

Hi all,

Glad I’ve found this chat! I’m due in January 2022!!! It’s our first and it’s all very overwhelming at the mo. Worrying about every cramp or pain. I had a painful stomach Saturday and today... not like cramps but more pain all over my stomach and sensitive to touch. When the pain subsided I then had a very gurgling stomach. I’m hoping it’s just trapped gas but it’s scared me. Anybody else had anything like that? Xx

@Newbie202012 Did you manage to get hold of anyone at your EPU? How are you doing today?

weathervane123 · 11/05/2021 19:59

@bages1977 I'm so glad you shared that about your 3+. I think those weeks indicators are the devil but it doesn't stop me yearning to see the 'right' result. At this point, I think I'll be happy with a 2-3 weeks at 5 weeks, knowing my lines were fainter and my hcg was lower to begin with.

weathervane123 · 11/05/2021 20:02

@Bhugs2021 Congrats on your bfp and I'm sorry you're so worried. FWIW you're definitely not alone! I think stomach weirdness is pretty normal in early pregnancy, and what you describe sounds like trapped wind to me. But, if you're really worried you can contact your doctor. I think cramps are slightly more concerning, particularly when accompanied by spotting, but even then it can be nothing. xx

@weathervane123 hi how are you I'm not doing to good today I woke up this morning with a full bleed with clots went to epu they didnt scan me because they said only 10% of woman will see something on a 5+1 week scan so they have put it down to suspected miscarriage they did my beta hcg bloods and it only come bk 87 I have to go bk on Thursday to get bloods again to make sure they are dropping , I mentioned that consultant who wasnt bothered to the midwife and she has kindly contacted a good gynaecologist who deals with reccurent misscarage to try and get ne an appointment with him so they are phoning me tomorrow with the details

@Newbie202012 I'm so very sorry to hear this. I'm glad an appointment for the recurrent miscarriage clinic is on its way. For now, give yourself time to grieve and process. Sending love.

@Newbie202012 so sorry to hear that. Big love to you xx

Hantswife · 12/05/2021 05:05

Hello, I just got my BFP this morning. Could have sworn AF was on the way. Cramping since Monday. Scared witless after previous loss in October.

weathervane123 · 12/05/2021 10:08

@Newbie202012 oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about this. How are you doing today? MC is absolutely harrowing but I'm so glad you're being referred and hope that you'll get some answers (and better treatment). Sending you lots of love. xxx

weathervane123 · 12/05/2021 10:12

@Hantswife, congratulations on your bfp! I'd tell you to try and stay calm but I know from personal experience it's almost impossible. Just to say you're not alone in your anxiety. I've also had cramping just like AF this pregnancy following a previous loss and it has completely spun me out to be honest. How far along are you? I'm off to the docs today as I've also had weird left-sided pain and thigh pain, oddly. Hoping it's nothing to worry about but I desperately need some answers from a doc.

Gnashaloulou · 12/05/2021 13:31

Hello all, can I join?

Got my bfp over the weekend. Due 23rd January. Grin

Still very early days. I've had chemical pregnancies and a mmc in the past so obviously very nervous at the moment. Every time I feel slight cramping I get so worried! Feeling so so exhausted all of the time (and that along with frequent headaches were my only symptoms so I was convinced I was out this month!)

Had my GP appt this morning and have now self-referred to the midwifery team eeek! So exciting!! xx

@Newbie202012 so sorry to hear this. I had an early mc last cycle too. It’s tough but glad to hear you are finally being listened to about your reoccurring mcs. Hopefully you will get the help you need . Fingers and toes crossed for you 😘 xx

ChisangaFS · 13/05/2021 09:25

I got my BFP on Sunday which was a bit of a shock as me and my partner had decided to stop trying until next year. We literally only had sex like 2 times last month and we're not careful but didn't even think it was during my fertile period. Nonetheless we're super happy and baby is due mid January. It's my first pregnancy so very nervous about everything from miscarriage to ectopic pregnancy but just praying that everything is okay. We've booked a private scan at 6 weeks just for reassurance. Wish us luck! Smile

LilmissCa · 13/05/2021 09:42

@ChisangaFS welcome, congrats & hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy

Tulipwood · 13/05/2021 11:07

Coming to say hi as I got a BFP this morning. Still in shock to be honest as I thought we’d messed up TTC for this month, but clearly not.

My cycles vary in length so not sure how late AF was but my nipples have been so sore and I have a weird taste in my mouth permanently which made me test.

So excited/nervous/anxious/worried all at once! NHS says my due date is mid January, but I haven’t phoned the drs yet as I want to do a clear blue test with the actual words. Maybe then it will feel real 😅

FinnsMammy · 13/05/2021 12:04

Girls what’s everyone eating ? The only thing that appeals to me at the moment is sugary cereals and ham and cheese toasties... I literally lived on this during my pregnancy with my son and was hoping I could be healthier this pregnancy but nothing else appeals to me 🙈

Blueeyedgirl21 · 13/05/2021 12:06

Normal food just less of it, not starving and my tummy is off in general like I’ve eaten something a bit off??
I’m having cheese, crackers and chorizo for lunch !!

FinnsMammy · 13/05/2021 12:11

@Blueeyedgirl21 I feel exactly the same I could go without food as my stomach is off but then I know it’s not ideal when pregnant... (feels like a hungover stomach )crackers and cheese is not a bad call I might try that !
