@CherLW thinking of you tomorrow. I had a miscarriage in September and my due date would've been July and I wonder how I will feel coming up to it.
Grateful to have this baby to look forward to but just can't stop thinking how I would've had my other baby in a couple of months

bewitchingnight · 14/05/2021 13:55

Thinking of you all for this! I had a miscarriage as well and my due date would have been in July. It's difficult isn't it, I confess I have found it much easier to come to terms with than if I hadn't very luckily got pregnant again so quickly afterwards. I hope you manage to do something nice and or distracting tomorrow Thanks

MrsTD88 · 14/05/2021 14:07

@CherLW @unicornpower @RaeRae84 I would have been due in February too (mmc) and then again in April (ectopic). Both were very bittersweet but I tried to distract myself those days as much as possible. I'm on a lovely thread on here too for pregnancy after miscarriage and it was and still is a great comfort. I hope tomorrow is OK for you. Sending lots of love. Sorry you have all been through the same @Hopefulmummie @bewitchingnight

RaeRae84 · 14/05/2021 14:12

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

SillyBry · 14/05/2021 14:43

Sorry to hear of everyone's losses. I had an ectopic and would have been due at the end of April. Oddly, the due date didn't bother me too much - but I think the surgery date will be more emotive for me. I think because the pregnancy was going wrong from the day I had a positive pregnancy test, my mind had processed it wasn't a viable pregnancy by the time they discovered it was ectopic, ruptured and required surgery. So in that sense, I feel very lucky emotionally... and I am very grateful I was able to get pregnant again so quickly.
Pregnancy after a loss is so different - hard to enjoy in the same way. Thinking of you all ladies xx

CherLW · 14/05/2021 14:58

@unicornpower
Just so hard to know how to feel. I’ve got work until 2 and I’m so luckily my to have such amazing people around me at work...and then have a scan to see the small one 💙

@RaeRae84
That’s so lovely about your raspberry, such a beautiful thing to do with the plant and the mobile. I bought a necklace back when it appended...a solid chunky heart and I doubt I’ll ever take it off ❤️

@Hopefulmummie
The date has been on my mind a lot lately, I keep thinking what my belly would look like, would they be here already and things. I hope when the date comes for you that it will be ok ❤️

@MrsTD88 @bewitchingnight @SillyBry
Thank you ❤️ sorry to hear you’ve been through the terrible times too ❤️

I always say that the baby I’m now carrying is the ‘small’ one and I say the baby I never got to meet is the ‘smallest’ one ❤️

RaeRae84 · 14/05/2021 15:26

@SillyBry totally agree with you on that. It was such a short time but we were so excited and happy. Since I found out, I have not been able to enjoy the journey because of worrying. I think I've been a lot more relaxed since the 20 week scan so the last month has been a lot more enjoyable.
@unicornpower it's crazy how common it is isn't it. Once I was dealing with it better, i could speak to other women about it and the majority of them have had one. Couldn't believe it. No one ever talks about it so you never know what people have gone through.
@CherLW ah that's lovely, jewellery is one of the best keepsakes I think. I hope you get on ok 💞

SillyBry · 14/05/2021 15:33

@RaeRae84 I’m so with you... I thought “once I’ve had the placement scan and I know it’s not ectopic, I’ll be happy!” Then I had that and thought “god, I hope I make it to 12 weeks...”, so it didn’t really reassure me like I thought! But since 20 weeks, I’ve felt much more relaxed. Feeling some movement and getting bigger etc - I’m finally starting to enjoy it

RaeRae84 · 14/05/2021 15:41

@SillyBry it's such a huge weight off at that scan I think.
I'm not scared to buy something now. I find a lot more joy in stuff now rather than just feeling really afraid.
Very glad you are starting to enjoy now too 🤗

Kirky658 · 14/05/2021 15:52

@unicornpower thanks lovely I'm well annoyed about it! I only had treatment a month ago as well. Something else to mention to the midwife..

Squibble84 · 14/05/2021 16:57

Sorry to hear of everyone’s losses, it’s so much more common than people realise! My MC due date is in June and it’s strange to think I’d be heavily pregnant now, I also lost my first baby to patau syndrome and I have her due date and the date I actually gave birth to her as days I always remember every year.

It’s lovely to hear of the things people do though to remember their lost babies, we have a little garden to remember Holly and her footprint on a necklace which now also has our second baby’s footprint on, and when we have this baby, I’ll get his/her footprint added to it as well. 💖

Squibble84 · 14/05/2021 16:59

@Kirky658 that’s so annoying you’ve got it again, you’re really not having much luck with it are you! I’m currently taking antibiotics as I have some sort of infection they picked up on in a urine sample. Was feeling really rough for a couple of weeks so I’m glad I asked for a repeat urine test!

CherLW · 14/05/2021 18:00

@Squibble84 that’s so lovely about your necklace ❤️ So sorry to hear about your little girl, it’s so lovely you have those things to remember her by x

GWhiteley · 14/05/2021 19:15

@bewitchingnight I think that's the pram I'm going to go for as well! A friend has the ickle bubba stomp v3 & I was all for it, but when I had a look at the reviews & spoke to a woman in a pram shop I changed my mind as she said she'd had lots of returns. The shop has the versatrax on offer this month so going to end up getting it much sooner than I'd originally planned, but we'd be stupid not to!

@FTEngineerM mine is also better today, but I think it's cause I've been sat properly in the office & not scrunched forward like I am at home. So much happier being in the office, more than I expected! But you need to do what you're happy with & what helps your back the most

bewitchingnight · 14/05/2021 20:28

@GWhiteley ah brill! The big plus for me was it's very easy to fold up. Price seems good compared to a lot of similar ones too

Poppins2016 · 14/05/2021 20:37

@SP2Bx if you like mint green etc. you might also like this set from Jojo Maman Bebe. I've just ordered it along with the matching hat... my first sneaky concession to buying new baby clothes, as we have so many clothes already from having DS. Luckily the clothing we already have is season appropriate (birthdays will only be a month apart)!

I have, however, warned DH that if we have a girl (we didnt find out the sex, we like surprises!) I'll be buying some extra bits when she's born to supplement what we have from DS... I love blue on girls but I'd like a few pink/floral/feminine things too! Guess we'll wait and see...

GWhiteley · 14/05/2021 21:09

@bewitchingnight yea I think the price is pretty reasonable. Our parents are jointly buying us the pram so I didn't want to take the mick & go for a really expensive one, especially when the carrycot part is for such a small amount of time in the grand scheme of things!

marshmallowmode · 15/05/2021 05:52

Sorry to hear of everyone's previous losses, its so hard. I also had no idea how common it was before we started TTC (had two back to back chemicals a few months before conceiving this one).

I've had such a bad night's sleep, tossing and turning and just can't get comfortable. I usually fall asleep on my front and wake up on my back so trying to adjust to sleeping on my side has been a nightmare. I've got a massive pregnancy pillow which does help but I need to be properly cocooned in it to stay on my side and I'm now finding I get too hot 🙄. Also pulled at my round ligaments every time I've moved tonight so I think I'm giving up for the night now!

Kirky658 · 15/05/2021 05:53

@marshmallowmode snap!!!? I'm trying to get back to sleep as DH is snoring away next to me...

MrsTD88 · 15/05/2021 06:13
@marshmallowmode snap!!!? I'm trying to get back to sleep as DH is snoring away next to me...
@Kirky658 me too!

marshmallowmode · 15/05/2021 06:22

@Kirky658 @MrsTD88 haha not just me then! I find falling back asleep after getting up to go to the loo difficult, I used to sleep through but that stopped at about 12 weeks! My mum said the exact same happened to her in pregnancy and she's had to get up for a wee in the night ever since... Very reassuring mum thanks 😂

MrsTD88 · 15/05/2021 06:45

@marshmallowmode I struggle getting back to sleep too. Also after about half an hour of being awake I'm so hungry, never usually a morning eater but pregnancy has me ravenous 🙊

Squibble84 · 15/05/2021 07:48

I’m struggling with sleep as well! 😫 @marshmallowmode I’m the same as you, I’m a stomach and back sleeper and struggle on my side! @MrsTD88 I keep a few biscuits on my bedside table ready for the morning as I’m starving when I wake! I think I scoffed them down about 6am this morning! 🙈

Kirky658 · 15/05/2021 08:25

@marshmallowmode mums eh 😂 I've been like this now for about 4 weeks just not able to have a restful night. I often find that my power naps in the afternoon at weekends are more restorative!

We are off up to ikea today to get a chest of drawers for the nursery (no expense spared 😏) and having a cheeky five guys too.... Naughty treat but need cheering up!

MrsTD88 · 15/05/2021 08:28

@Squibble84 I think I'll have to start doing the same, that's a great idea.

@Kirky658 ooh I love a trip to IKEA! Enjoy your day 😁
