I haven't been on for some days and had 10 pages to catch up on 😯 last time I was having a bit of a down time but took some of your advice and decided you were totally right. Why am I stressing when I can't do anything. There isn't anything really to even stress about, I think it's just my mind. My 20 week scan is Thursday and I'm sooo excited! Not nervous or stressed. It's a nice feeling.
Congratulations to everyone who have had scans etc! So nice to hear!

@SP2Bx I've got to have the anti d thing too but literally just had a letter to say it with a date it's booked in for. Everything I've needed so far they just seem to book it and send me the info. Quite good as I would be a nightmare at remembering. I think mine is end of June.
@deedeebythesea good luck for your driving test in May! Yes I definitely will not be buying a Doppler as my midwife said I would drive myself crazy. Plus I find it hard to tell the difference between the placenta and HB 🙈 also definitely finding out the sex, can't wait!
@leftitlate37 yes it was me that fell over! I walked like a penguin all of last week! I'm just glad it seemed I hit everything else except my belly and head! My running has taken a massive dive though which is frustrating.
@Taybz I'm probably the exception as everyone seems to be working a lot longer than me. I'm due 1st Sept but my last day is 2nd of July. I used 3 weeks of holiday then mat leave starts. I feel like it's been such a stressful year since last march and I've worked through all lockdowns in the office with skeleton staff so thought sod it, I'm having the summer off!! I'm not planning on going back to work though after so I'm not worried about making maximum time after the birth.
@kirky658 hope you are feeling better now after some low days. I know what you mean about not feeling as excited as you thought. I have felt like that, think it's pretty overwhelming for us especially FTM. I have to say I feel a lot more excited that I'm half way this week.

Glad some of you are feeling breathless as I seem to be out of breath loads!
Never heard of the smoke test so will be interested to see if I get one.
The only comments I seem to get is, you don't look pregnant (I wear loose clothing because I don't have a good bump still, just looks like flab!) My mum did say I'm finally not looking so ill and grey 😂

deedeebythesea · 13/04/2021 20:48

@KHR1 Congratulations! 💙 Another baby boy in the group!

I will find out tomorrow at 4pm. CANNOT WAIT

Squibble84 · 13/04/2021 20:56

@Sceptre86 I can’t believe someone said your ‘kind’ to you referring to your race! What the actual fuck, what is wrong with some people?!!

leftitlate37 · 13/04/2021 20:57

haha @RaeRae84 know the feeling when u take a few days off and catch up with SOOO much! lovely to have u back and glad you are feeling perkier :) and obviously looking it too haha bless your mum! not long til your scan, how exciting!!! Also breathless - cleaned car at weekend and was huffing and puffing just moving my arm with the sponge haha
what r u finding with running then, just the breathlessness? I feel really heavy when i run, and stopping all the time for a wee. defo got slow, so going out with hubby but taken pressure off myself and not really running with friends tho as just wanna go at my own pace, walk if i want, and have a wee if i need!!!
Good luck tomorrow too @deedeebythesea!!

Kirky658 · 13/04/2021 21:15

@leftitlate37 I'm the same with the running, taking it easier and dropped the pace a lot. See it as a win if I go out! I'm also needing a wee after ten mins of running 🤣not fun! Also going running with hubby too. He runs 4-5 miles with me then shoots off for another 4 on his own much faster so works for us x

leftitlate37 · 13/04/2021 21:19

Haha snap @Kirky658! I have about 3 before I leave the house in last 5 mins and within first 10 or 15 mins am bursting again!! We are now measuring my runs not in minutes per km, but kms per wee ha. Nice that u guys can go out together at least for a bit:) figure its the least they can do by keeping us company for some of it when we r doing the hard work ;)
How r your hips and joints? X

KHR1 · 13/04/2021 21:31

Good luck tomorrow @deedeebythesea

RadDarwazeh · 13/04/2021 21:31

@CherylLW it was me who got the cake bras. Can confirm they're really comfy and well constructed! I know it's pricey but comfort is key.

I feel massive today girls. Also feel that the lockdown baby comments deserve to be replied with "no actually, we planned this." Or in my case I'll say "actually I've been working since June as you know being a key worker too" if it's a comment from work colleagues.

Mat leave - I'll be on it from 34 weeks. This includes finishing 3 weeks before the due date and also using up remaining annual leave.

I feel a lot slower at work lately. Oh well. It's gonna happen I suppose!

Hope you girls are having a nice evening

Hopefulmummie · 13/04/2021 21:48

I ended up down in admissions in maternity earlier and was having bad pains.. Cause I had UTI 2 weeks ago they wanted to check. It hadn't spread to kidneys. Thankfully hadn't but I have another infection :( so more anti biotics. That plus feeling poorly from injections yesterday its been a horrible day but on plus side got to see baby again and she is doing OK

Look after yourself @Hopefulmummie. Hope you feel better very soon xx

CherylLW · 13/04/2021 22:40

@RadDarwazeh I think I’ll give them ago, I don’t mind how much they cost as long as they are comfy and fit well... I always struggle so much with bras!

@Hopefulmummie rest up and take it easy, so glad your little one is doing well xx

Mamabearwhere · 13/04/2021 23:26

@Hopefulmummie hope you feel better soon! Glad all well with baby x

Kirky658 · 14/04/2021 06:41

@hopefulmummie awww hun hope those antibiotics get you on the mend soon.
@leftitlate37 haha definitely! I'm headed out at 7am to try and do 5 miles this morning so that should be fun.... My hips and knees are a nightmare!!! I'm having to do so much exercise with my resistance bands to keep it at bay. How about you?

leftitlate37 · 14/04/2021 07:09

great effort! good luck :) i find mornings a struggle cos i feel tired but actually easier once out as feel once ive had a day of food it just sits in my stomach and i feel so heavy! keep up with the resistance bands....imtrying to stretch and do some strength stuff but usually get to end of week and realise only done it once!
take care @Hopefulmummie great u got to see your little girl but sorry u had to go back to hosp and feel rubbish, hope today is a betterday x

2021mumma · 14/04/2021 07:33

Hi all! I finally found the thread again haven’t been on for ages. Hope you are all well. I’m almost 20 weeks and waiting for the scan letter to arrive. Still sick, now have added heartburn and pelvis is aching already!! The joys. I finally told my work at 18 weeks they were fine I was so anxious. My bump is huge already I swear I wasn’t this big at nine months last time!! X

bewitchingnight · 14/04/2021 07:58

Poor you @Hopefulmummie I hope you're feeling better this morning

unicornpower · 14/04/2021 08:03

@Hopefulmummie you poor thing, I hope you're feeling much better soon, on the bright side you got to see baby again which is wonderful.

I had my 16w appointment yesterday (at 17+1) and we got to have a listen to baby which was so amazing, we were allowed to film it and i keep watching it back! It sounds like a train at first but then a horse so I still have no real guesses! Im still leaning more towards boy though but we will find out in 3 weeks! It's made me less anxious now, knowing that the heart is still going strong 💙

KHR1 · 14/04/2021 08:07

Hope you feel better soon @Hopefulmummie

@CherylLW tried the asda ones yesterday and although they are super comfy, they aren't very supportive at all...

@2021mumma hope you hear about your scan soon and glad your work were fine, it's so nerve wracking telling them isn't it. I'm finding the same with my bump, I just compared my week 18 pic this time with last pregnancy and it's about the same as week 35 last pregnancy.

KHR1 · 14/04/2021 08:09

@unicornpower glad your appointment went well and it's amazing that you got to listen to the heartbeat and record it!

RaeRae84 · 14/04/2021 08:18

@leftitlate37 I know I can't believe how long it takes to read through everything! Mum is literally a nightmare, she messages me everyday to find out how I'm feeling that day and always looks me over when I see her 🙈😂 you would think it's her first grandchild but it's not! I know it's all caring so can't be mean!
Oh god I get breathless all the time from anything. Running is just one of them but I can be breathless just sitting down! I had a PT session the other day and just was out of breath the whole time. It's so bizarre. Hahahah I love you are measuring in wees! I'm also jealous you can find so many places to go. I'm always town running now and there is nowhere to hide 😂 I am running with someone every time but they just go with what I can manage. I like running alone but since I got pregnant I just needed motivation from someone else to keep me going.
@Hopefulmummie hope you are feeling better soon!!

1 more sleep until scan day 💙💗💙💗

nellly · 14/04/2021 08:40

@RaeRae84 mine is the same! Daily messages asking how I'm feeling and if I slept ok, it's driving me crazy, not her first grand baby either Grin I'm also trying to be nice as I know it comes from a place of love

RaeRae84 · 14/04/2021 09:04

@nellly I'm so glad it's not just me!! Are you the only daughter? I think that's the thing, I have two brothers! My grandma lives with my mum so not only do I get texts from my mum, I get emails from my grandma. She asks how 'her baby' is doing 🙈🙈 it's lovely and I'm glad they are interested but sometimes it would be nice for a break!

Kirky658 · 14/04/2021 09:05

I did it!!!! 🎉❤️ I hate running before breakfast too I had a shortbread biscuit before I left which seemed to help keep me going!
@leftitlate37 I know what you mean about the strengthening haha I have had to set alarms on my phone to remind me to do at least twice a week! I feel the same with the full stomach towards the end of the day too makes it difficult to want to get going but find I have more energy after work.

I said to my DH breathlessly while we were plodding along this morning, it's incredible to think my body can grow a human as well as running at the same time!

nellly · 14/04/2021 09:08

@RaeRae84 my mum re married so although I have a sister she's 12 and a long way off making babies
Lol you're right the other grand baby was my brothers and I think she's felt a little nudged out in favour of the the maternal grandma so is really hoping for a close bond with this one. It's lovely but I feel bad when I can't reply straightaway!! At least when the baby comes it will be useful she can actually be productive and help out lol

RaeRae84 · 14/04/2021 09:21

@nellly ah yes I think it must be because of us being the women! Oh bless, I bet your sister is really excited!
My mum definitely feels sidelined with my nephew. I'm a lot closer to my family than DH is to his but I'm always very conscious of making sure his mum feels included. Yes hopefully we will have lots of help so we can have a break.

@Kirky658 well done! Great work! I've got the day off today so meeting my friend this morning for a run. Will definitely not be doing 5 miles or at that pace 🤣 you have obviously retained more fitness than me
