@Kirky658 You and I both! Can't actually believe it. Have never had trust in my life and wasn't expecting it to cause so much discomfort.

GP prescribed Canesten pessary (told me not to use the applicator though and the pharmacist make sure to take it out of the packet) and external cream too.

Hi ladies, we did a last minute gender scan this evening.. couldn't wait any longer! And the baby is a...boy! Another one joins the growing boys club in this thread!!

Hi @aurora2021 welcome to the group. How has your pregnancy been so far?
@Taybz congratulations, excited for you. Sounds like you had a lovely experience at the gender scan. Mine was amazing when I had ds, we didn't find out with dd as she was our first. We should do a poll to see how many posters are having boys, girls, not yet found out or are staying team yellow.

We finally told my parents yesterday , I sent over a pregnancy announcement on watsapp and then our phones erupted. My brother had just done a long shift at work (junior dr) and didn't get it so we sent a voice message with my dd saying that mummy had a baby in her tummy.

I had wanted to tell them in person but as we live in Scotland think it will be quite a while before we can visit them and didn't want to be too far gone by then. I then got the best news that my sister is also pregnant and due the same day as me. She had a miscarriage prior and I had been reluctant to tell her our baby news as I didn't want to upset her. So excited for her, I can't wait to be an auntie. Just praying she has a healthy pregnancy. My dad's grin was from ear to ear and my mum cried. They are going from 2 to 4 grandchildren 🤞.

We are planning on telling mil today, going to visit her in her garden, so excited to see her reaction.

Wow what a lush reveal @Sceptre86 you can experience it together. Was she as surprised as you when she found out you were pregnant? I saw on another one of these when I was expecting DC1 someone made a Google sheet with user name, due date and team blue/yellow/pink thought that was a pretty cool idea.

A poll sounds good @Sceptre86! Amazing that your sister is pregnant and due the same day as you!

@Sillysocks998, My scan is the 30th April so not much before those in the 1st week of May! I'll be 21+1.

Thanks everyone for the lovely welcome! @sceptre86, the first trimester was tough with bad morning sickness and feeling exhausted all the time but it's been pretty good since, although I do still run out of energy by the evenings! That's such wonderful news about you and your sister, what a coincidence!!

I haven't found out yet what we're having, trying to hold out for my 20 week scan on 4th May, although my DH isn't allowed to come to it so maybe I'll persuade him to go for a private scan beforehand! A poll sounds like a great idea 😊

I was just wondering how everyone's bump is coming along.... I feel like I've had hardly any growth in the last couple weeks and it's making me paranoid. I'm around 15-16 weeks now and although I'm definitely bigger around the belly, I've not really 'popped' and finding it difficult to notice it getting any bigger lately. Anyone else? I'm a FTM and slim normally/average height.

I have a private scan on Wednesday so I know I'm probably just having pre-scan anxiety!

@showmorekindness don't worry, I feel the same. I'm 18 + 4 and still just look fatter. I'm a size 8 normally and I can't fit into any clothes now but I don't have a bump. Think I've just put weight on everywhere. It's highly annoying as I feel I have nothing to show for it 🙈😂 I'm hoping as FTM we will show more in the 20+ weeks.
@CherylLW I know what you mean about the hospital bag, I thought the same 😂 will be a full on suitcase at this rate!

Thanks everyone! 🥰 my scan was hilarious, we've got another cheeky baby here like @deedeebythesea. Baby kept showing us his back or turning on his stomach hiding his little bobby so took ages to find out! The sonographer was very patient though and got me to do belly rubs and star jumps with my belly hanging out. Finally he revealed himself 😅

@Sceptre86 that's such a lovely coincidence. It'll be so amazing to experience it together! Telling family was really one of the highlights of this whole journey, lots of tears and the biggest smiles 💕

Hi everyone and belated happy easter, hope you're all having nice long weekends!!
Yes @RaeRae84 and @showmorekindness....not really a bump here but definitely just fatter over my waist...well, what waist now :( finally got boobs as well haha. 18 weeks now so expecting it to prob show pretty soon.
Still made no progress with any planning...is it just me?!

@leftitlate37 yes to the boobs, DH is very happy I have some good boobs now 😂 Yeah my waist has gone it just looks like I've been chowing down though.
The only planning I've done is watching workshops, enquired about our local NCT antenatal class and booked a slot at mamas & papas when they are open to discuss prams. I think I've been holding out until the 20 week scan before doing much because I'm still super paranoid. Feel like I'm always stuck between wanting to be excited and then being scared to be excited 🙈

@showmorekindness, same here, I've been taking weekly bump photos and it's barely changed over the last few weeks, I'm a size 8 normally too. I think the stomach muscles are meant to be quite strong for a FTM so takes a while to show properly!

@leftitlate37, I've done very little planning as well, waiting for the 20 week scan too. We've booked NCT classes but only because we heard they can get booked up quite quickly.
