Due November 2021 - thread 2!

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome . I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

This who have miscarried before, I'm wondering what were the signs? My discharge moved on to a light bleed. On knickers, it's spotting and obvious when I wipe. It seems to have stopped this morning but obvious a few times overnight. I'm waiting for a call back from the doctor and can't get through to the early pregnancy unit. I guess I could book a private scan to see how things are progressing.

@PinkElephant7 I had increasing amounts of blood and pain. All my symptoms went and pregnancy tests were negative straight away. Really hoping everything is okay for you 🥰

Thanks @wallyrag, I'm waiting for a call from the GP now and I've booked an early scan for tomorrow. My last pregnancy didn't bring many symptoms and this one even fewer so can't tell by that! Just spoken to the GP and I have to go in to the surgery later and I'll likely be referred to the Early Pregnancy Unit. Fingers crossed everything is OK 🤞🏼

Decided to do a test this morning so got a first response and tested negative. Did a clear blue to confirm and that's positive 3+weeks. Not sure what to make of that! Seeing the doctor at 3pm so see what he has to say.

Ladies. After Sunday's events I went to A&E to check for ectopic pregnancy which they were fairly confident I wasn't having. From there I was booked in for a scan (which took place this morning) to check for a heartbeat as the concern was then miscarriage after the pain and bleeding. I am pleased to report that baby has a heartbeat and is around 6+2 🥰 The pain in my ovary is put down to quite a large cyst which has now been measured and will be kept an eye on. The bleed was put down to a haematoma. Just wanted to share the good news and perhaps help settle anyone's mind who might experience bleeding during pregnancy. There was quite a lot of blood and I was convinced the baby had gone but there we go ❤️ sending everyone lots of love and well wishes 🤗 Big extra thank you to @Needingsupportplease for being so kind ❤️

Hope you are ok @pinkelephant7 in my miscarriages i had bleeding/brown spotting and pain. With my healthy pregnancy I had ridiculous amounts of bright red blood and clots but no pain at all which always became the reassuring factor no pain was the good thing. Really hope your baby clings on keep us updated. @hlmx this is AMAZING news! So so happy for you! Pesky cyst x

@Needingsupportplease thanks for sharing, that is reassuring. I know DH isn't keen on another and this was unplanned so I'll have no chance of trying again. At 41, this is it for me and I would really like everything to be OK. Only time will tell I suppose xx

Has anyone else become a paranoid wreck? Yesterday, I convinced myself I was having ectopic pregnancy, due to a stupid podcast and mr google. I text my midwife and I am able to have a “reassurance scan” but not till 8 weeks, which save us money on the private scan I had booked but I have woken with a new resolve today to
A) not google anything else
B) stop the podcasts about pregnancy after loss
C) be happy that, after trying for 6 months following a mc, I am finally pregnant and this is a new chapter and won’t necessarily end in tragedy again! Time to be excited!
D) Nap more, I feel guilty for napping but yet the 4am wake ups are killing me and I’m becoming a moody nightmare due to being shattered so today I had a nap and feel incredible.

@happyavocado28 Haha I like the way you put it but, yep I can definitely relate to the heightened sense of smell. I can't stand anything and feel pretty miserable as I am struggling to enjoy anything I eat. I'll think of ordering a takeaway and just reading the menu makes me feel nauseous & emotional. @TS87 I feel like I am losing the plot!

I’m 45 and totally thought I was going through menopause with eratic cycle. I’m a nervous wreck as this is now very much wanted and loved already. Had a private scan yesterday but only shows gestational sac which is to be expected at only 5w2days. Back in 2 weeks to hopefully see a yolk sac! X

@happygolucky20 I've been a paranoid mess since I saw my positive test haha. I thought ectopic too I had achy shoulders. I'm cramping again today though and it is quite sore! Hopefully its just because I've been pregnant a few times and its adjusting. God knows trying to reassure myself. I did wonder about ringing epu as because of my losses they really looked after me with my daughter but don't think they will this time as I've had a healthy baby after. My scan needs to hurry up! Every time I go to the toilet I'm so worried that there will be blood..

@happygolucky20 yes I have those days and I agree it is easier said than done but, I try to stay away from googling every symptom and those podcasts to keep myself sane. Hope you are okay!

@Needingsupportplease I have a 10 year old and because of that the EPU don’t want to know really but I think my midwife gave in yesterday after I text random messages about ectopic 😂 she must think I’m a right nutter! Feel completely calm today. Hormones!!

@Maya000 yes, no more googling and no more podcasts 🤣 one google search suddenly becomes a maze of negativity.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone! Turns out my negative was a dodgy test - the control strip is the line not showing! The doc tried to refer me to EPU and they gave some numbers for me to call if I'm worried (like I'm not!). Private scan tomorrow so hope that will be reassuring X
