Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@DaenarysStormborn basically any family history of anything - blood issues, heart issues, stillbirths, cancers, autoimmune conditions... all sorts. In hindsight (not sure why I need hindsight, I've done this three times now!) I'd have asked DH to ask them about anything major in his family ahead of time.

Hey everyone. I'm 5weeks and 1 day today. Very new to all this. DD early December. Contemplating booking in for an early scan.

DaenarysStormborn · 28/03/2021 13:37

@AlackAlasAlackaday Thanks! I'll get asking :)

Hathers89 · 28/03/2021 14:27

@AlackAlasAlackaday, @thetallgirl I was asked if I wanted a diabetes test along with 5 other blood tests (don't ask me what they were for) and also all the tests at the 1st scan stage for various syndromes, they won't book my scan until we have a look at that. I've looked into those tests and they look pretty scary depending on your first results.

My appointment was only 30mins long as they didn't book me a long enough slot, I have a home appointment in 2 weeks time but I have been given a 6 page booklet to fill out of family history etc

Hannahb26 · 28/03/2021 15:11

Happy Sunday everyone! Jumping on from the last thread. Currently 8+3 (due 4/11) and feeling really vile - nauseous but no actual vomit 🤷🏼‍♀️ I've also had some darker discharge today too. I went for blood tests and urine sample this week and have just had my scan letter through for 23rd April. Can't shake the feeling that it's going to be bad news so not getting my hopes up.

HLMx · 28/03/2021 15:50

Afternoon everyone. Can someone help please. How much bleeding is 'normal' at 5 almost 6 Weeks?? I woke up around midnight with stabbing pains in lower left hand abdomen and about an hour ago started bleeding. Sorry for TMI but could do with some reassurance or reality please x

Needingsupportplease · 28/03/2021 16:17

You need to ring EPU @hlmx especially with stabbing pains could be your ovary/tube. Could just be implantation but defo ring for advice and they'll probably scan you. Better to be safe than sorry. I had bleeding with clots (no pains) from 7-17 weeks last pregnancy and baby was fine and I've had a mc with light bleeding and a mmc with no bleeding at all so doesn't mean everything or nothing. Hope you are ok. Xx

pineapple2021 · 28/03/2021 16:38

@thetallgirl any symptoms yet? I've still got nothing except the boobs.....convinced I'll go to my early scan and have bad news but trying to be positive! So silly when some of you all feel so rough that I'm basically wishing for sickness.

HLMx · 28/03/2021 17:09

@Needingsupportplease thank you so much. Have called them, out of hours so they put me through to 111 who are now arranging a 1-1 over the phone with an out of hours GP. Just waiting for the call back from the GP. Thank you for your help x

Mancbear88 33 17th November

Struggling with anxiety after finding a loss at 12 week scan last time. Had a couple of days of spotting but EPU not concerned.
I’ve got an 8 week scan, which is when the baby died last time, so hoping that will help if there’s a heart beat, plus a 10 week scan.
Got a bit of nausea but not been sick, and some tiredness, slight boob pain when I poke them, but wish I just felt a bit more pregnant, even though i know everyone’s different.
Feel like I need to tick off first trimester and then can start to enjoy it.

Hathers89 · 28/03/2021 17:35

@Mancbear88 so sorry to hear about your previous loss 😔 I have the same symptoms as you along but with the added toilet trips. I have slight light cramps now and then which I believe to be good signs (my book states its my uterus changing shape) but I too cannot wait for my first scan and the second trimester! A weight of the shoulders and I can start telling the nearest and dearest 🥰

AngeloMysterioso · 28/03/2021 17:35

I’m 4+5 today and not feeling at all different so far... no fatigue, sore boobs, nausea, nothing. I did another FRER yesterday to check line progression and it was darker, so I guess there’s that!

Mancbear88 · 28/03/2021 17:41

@Hathers89 thank you. Ah yep I also cannot stop weeing!! Honestly by about 10am today I’d already been for 6 weeks 😂
I think mild cramping is pretty normal - so much going on in there.

I’m due to go back to office part time in a few weeks after WFH for the full time so far and I feel like I’m just gonna spend all the time walking around the one way system for a wee instead of working 😂 I also don’t know how I’m gonna be parted from a snack cupboard...

Needingsupportplease · 28/03/2021 18:01

Good @HLMx glad you're been sorted everything could be fine but it could be ectopic or miscarriage (really hope its not for you) but hope they scan and check you or do blood tests 48hrs apart to check your levels x

Hannah94L · 28/03/2021 18:02

Hi all, I’m 5 weeks and 5 days. Due 23/11/21.

Nausea started at 4 weeks 6 days and for the last 4 days I’ve been physically sick. Today I’ve not even been able to keep water down. Worrying it’s the start of HG, anyone else similar?

HLMx · 28/03/2021 18:13

@Needingsupportplease honestly can't thank you enough 🙏🏼 spoke to GP who has advised me to go to A&E tomorrow morning. He said if I went today they would just keep me in overnight as they can't scan until the gynecologist is in. Warned me of 'red flag' symptoms and if any of them appear he said to go to A&E straight away x

thetallgirl · 28/03/2021 18:58

@pineapple2021 not really had much change. I do feel tired, but also keep waking up super early in the morning so the tiredness could just be due to that. Had very slight cramps a few times yesterday which I kinda appreciate, like an indication that SOMETHING is happening in there. But no nausea at all. I have my scan this week (IVF pregnancy, so they scan at 6-7 weeks), so hoping that will bring some reassurance.

Thinking of you @HLMx sounds like you've done the right thing.

PinkElephant7 · 28/03/2021 19:45

I've realised today I've got a bump already! I know it shows faster with your second but didn't expect a bump at this stage! Unless I'm further along than I think I am 😳

ELMcg · 28/03/2021 19:59

Hi everyone just joining this thread! I'm due 30/11 with my first after a MMC picked up at 13 weeks in December! 🤞 Everything goes OK this time but already anxious. Don't think I will relax until I get the OK at my first scan! No sickness yet but the peeing all the time and tiredness have set in this weekend. I actually tested as I felt really nauseous and my sense of smell was crazy but that seems to have calmed down now.

Hi everyone! I’m 5+2 with my first and barely feel pregnant yet! Saying that, I did just cry for an hour because my husband mildly burnt the dinner 😂 it’s so lonely in the bit before you can tell anyone 😞

Roopers · 28/03/2021 21:00

Hi everyone. I'm 35 and this is my third pregnancy but had a Mmc at 8 weeks last august and then a Mc at 6 weeks over Christmas. This one somehow feels different - I'm much more tired, the travel sickness feeling is real too - but I'm worried at every twinge.
I'm currently 5+4 but I found out at 3wk+2 and have had very strong tests since before 4wks. I've also had a few dye stealers and then I ran out of tests!
I spoke with my EPU and they said To wait for a scan until 8.5wks and that I should seek a transvaginal scan too. I'm in Edinburgh - does anyone know of one or have used a clinic that does a transvaginal?? I've taken a look online but it's not totally clear who does them. Can anyone help? x

DawnK77 · 28/03/2021 21:15

Hi!
33 due 20th Nov x

Sunbird24 · 28/03/2021 21:25

@Roopers congratulations! I had an early scan with Ultrasound Direct - they did abdominal first then went to transvaginal for a better picture. I imagine most of the private scan places will have the facility for both.

Roopers · 28/03/2021 22:27

Thank you @Sunbird24 that's really helpful!
