Due November 2021 - thread 2!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 25/03/2021 08:15

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@Moth01DS was a November baby and honestly it was fine. You can still get out, just bundle them up nice and cosily. You can snuggle with them under blankets on the sofa without getting all sweaty. It’s close to Christmas so you have a built in excuse for delaying being inundated with visitors until you’re good and ready! And by the time summer comes around they’ll be big enough to enjoy splashing around in the paddling pool on hot days, and it’s much easier to keep a newborn baby warm on cold nights than it is to cool one down on hot nights.

HLMx · 26/03/2021 17:15

35 this is my first. Currently 5 +3 and due 23rd Nov x

Randomness12 · 26/03/2021 17:25

I agree @Moth01 my DD was November born and it was lovely. I also think it helped her to learn the difference between night and day easier as when dusk comes we’d turn down the lights to make it cosy which started off a bedtime routine and it’s nice and dark out by 7pm which was bedtime.

I had a emergency section so I was very grateful for all the layers too while I recovered and my tummy settled.

By the time spring came along we were out and about with the sling and we had a great routine going so I could time trips out around naps and mealtimes etc.

Hi everyone- I was on the last post but mostly just having a read of how others were going. I'm 6 weeks today with my 3rd baby. I have dd almost 7 and dd 3. Lots of headaches and exhaustion this last week. But happy to be halfway to getting a scan done!

babynov · 26/03/2021 17:51

Thank you @AlackAlasAlackaday @DoveGreylove

I'm home now and referred to EPU tomorrow.

I was in a lot of pain and they gave me a small dose of morphine. Panicking now that it will hurt the baby.

Potterurotter · 26/03/2021 18:13

Joining! 31, 6w0 today due approx Nov 19

Kitttycatt · 26/03/2021 18:25

Hi, I was on the other thread too so just saving my place.

35, 7w4d today and due 8 Nov

I had my nhs viability scan on Monday at 7 weeks and baby was measuring 1 day behind which is normal, saw a strong heartbeat. I'm going to book a private one in a couple of weeks. 12 weeks is too far away!

@Aisforharlot I haven't got a midwife appointment yet either, I know you need to have one of your blood tests before 10 weeks so I was going to chase before the Easter break

HLMx · 26/03/2021 19:04

@Kitttycatt evening, do you know if they do the blood test at your first midwife appointment or refer you for it?? My app is the 21st April and I'll be 9 weeks by then x

Aisforharlot · 26/03/2021 20:23

@Kitttycatt actually I have to eat my words....they rang today and I have a phone triage appt for monday.

Kitttycatt · 26/03/2021 21:36

@HLMx yes I believe it's all done during your first appointment (if in person).

@Aisforharlot that's good news. When did you first ring up your gp? My surgery have moved everything to online chat now since Covid. So bit worried my doctor forgot to pass on my details to midwife.

Randomness12 · 26/03/2021 21:44

I had to book in online with the hospital then i got an email with 2 appointments, one for a phone call to do the actual booking paperwork then one a week later for bloods etc. Forgot how much I hate blood tests until I saw that in the email.

Annie1290 · 27/03/2021 13:11

Well, vomit number 1 achieved. Almost relieved as I had some faint spotting last night and this morning and a couple of cramps last night. Anyone know who to ring over a weekend to report that? My midwives are 9-5 monday-Friday. Or shall I wait?

AlackAlasAlackaday · 27/03/2021 13:54

annie I'd wait and watch lovely, if it's faint it's likely to all be fine. Flowers

Just joining from the last thread, 32 this is my second I have a DD who is 3.
Not exactly sure when I'm due as never had regular cycles, if I go by my Last period date then potentially due around 13/11 but could be subject to change 🤣

LondonLady178 · 27/03/2021 18:43

Hi,

Can I join too please.

I’m 8+6, due 01/11/2021, first baby
I had a MMM last Oct, found out at a private scan at 8 weeks & had a D&C. Feeling very anxious something may go wrong. Very reluctant to have a private scan again as had such a bad experience last time hearing the bad news!

Jessspeno99 · 27/03/2021 18:54

Hi I’m a little scared to post. I’m about 6+3 rang the doctors but they told me to ring back in 3-4 weeks. I’m really confused as this is my first and me and my partner have no idea what happens. Any advice would be great, if anyone can help? My due date according to the nhs website is 17th November. But I’m really confused by this all so any help would be amazing! Thank you in advance!

Sunbird24 · 27/03/2021 19:20

Welcome @LondonLady178 and @Jessspeno99!

London There are quite a few of us with previous losses, so you’re not alone with the anxiety. Hopefully we’re all going to have more luck this time.

Jess can you self-refer? Either online or look up your local birthing centre and call the midwives direct, depending on your how your trust does it?

Mommynapsalot · 27/03/2021 21:02

5+3 and Morning sickness has hit me... but... I never get it in the morning?! It hits me at 6-7pm every day. I feel like I have heartburn for an hour and next thing I know I'm at the toilet being sick. 🙈 anyone else having "morning sickness" at any time but morning? 😂

DaenarysStormborn · 27/03/2021 22:24

@Mommynapsalot anytime at all. It's driving me nuts. Ordered some anti sickness bands to try.

Anyone else having crazy emotions? I've cried at my favourite TV show today (not a sad bit). Then just laughed hysterically till I cried and then properly started sobbing and couldn't stop. Dh just looked at me like I'm nuts.Blush

Sunbird24 · 27/03/2021 22:32

Oh I cried at Happy Feet 2, several times. 🤦‍♀️
Not been sick at all, just feeling exhausted and hung over about 80% of the time. Not got much appetite today either

Mrbay · 28/03/2021 08:52

Hey - I was on the previous thread but I had to take a break as I was driving myself crazy with negative thinking.

I'm 33, first baby due 16th Nov

Ref midwife, I've got a booking in appointment (telephone) next week and then I think bloods are a few days later.

Symptoms have been coming and going, lots of nausea but no sick (sorry tmi) sad that I'm wishing for vomit!
Sore large boobs, I've had to get some bugger Bras already!

Hathers89 · 28/03/2021 08:57

Hiya! My first post and first pregnancy. I'm due 7th November. Had my first midwife appointment Friday, a little overwhelming! I didn't realise there would be so many tests and decisions so early on 😅

thetallgirl · 28/03/2021 09:47

@Hathers89 what kind of decisions? I have mine the week after next. First baby and no idea what to expect in that first appointment really. GP receptionist told me it's an 80min appointment though so I'm expecting a lot will be covered!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 28/03/2021 10:43

Welcome hathers! Yes, at mine you always seem to need to arrive ready to wee in a cup or have a blood test. Were they discussing decisions about what kind of birth etc?

@thetallgirl mine was about an hour and a really deep dive through my and DH's medical histories, so if you don't know the ins and outs of your MIL/FIL's health/background worth asking in advance!

OP posts:
DaenarysStormborn · 28/03/2021 11:44

@AlackAlasAlackaday what kind of questions about MIL/FIL's health? Just want to know what to ask! Smile

I'm still waiting for my appointment through the post. Hoping it comes through soon in case I need to tell work.
