Due November 2021 - thread 2!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 25/03/2021 08:15

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@Iloveyou3x for the list
@happygolucky20 2nd pregnancy, gender unknown, due 25.11.2021 ❤️

Ant102 · 16/05/2021 14:08

Hi all, posted this on a new thread but no responses so trying this thread. I’m currently 13 weeks and still suffering from all day nausea - can’t take it anymore 😞. I have been taking two xonvea before bed. I’m still horribly nauseous all day and want to add another dose in day but it says you have to take on empty stomach. If I don’t snack regularly the nausea is even worse. I wondered if I could take cyclizine in day and xonvea before bed to avoid having to take them on empty stomach in day. Anyone else taking both or either of these medications?

Hi all, I’m new to this thread.. but if I could be added to the list that would be great. I’m 34, first pregnancy and I’m due 21 November 👶🏼❤️

Katy4321 · 17/05/2021 09:49

@Ant102 I'm not familiar with these medicines, but sorry you are going through this and really hope now you are getting into second trimester things start to improve. Probably your GP is the best person to talk to about taking additional medication, and can hopefully help if they realise how difficult it is.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 17/05/2021 11:16

Hi! I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant with my 5th child. Due 20th November

HappyMrsR · 17/05/2021 14:45

Hi all, can I join yous.
@4Minions2CallMyOwn I'm exactly the same I'm 13 weeks with baby number 5 and also due the 20th November.
So far I have had really bad sickness I still can't eat much I've lost just under a stone in weight I'm hoping this nausea settles soon.

HappyMrsR · 17/05/2021 14:57

Also I'm 37 5th baby due 20th Nov gender unknown

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 17/05/2021 16:29

@HappyMrsR Wow that’s brilliant! I didn’t think anyone would be the same as me!

I’m the opposite to you. This time for once I haven’t been sick once and have put on at least a stone as feel so sick if I don’t eat constantly. It’s rubbish either way isn’t it. I hope your nausea settles ASAP. I’ve started feeling so much better this week!

How old are your children? Mine are 15, 11, 8 and 1.

Randomness12 · 17/05/2021 18:54

Ahh welcome to the newbies!

5th child for @4Minions2CallMyOwn and @HappyMrsR you are both pros at this.

I’m 34, second child, due 18th Nov and gender unknown at the moment but will find out.

Vintique · 18/05/2021 00:59

Hello everyone, I’m late to the thread but please can I join you? I think you are all brilliant. I’m so sorry for those who’ve had bad news. Been following since the start - but didn’t think I’d make it this far... I’m 45 (gulp), due 29 Nov and having my twelve week scan tomorrow. Somewhat nervous! 1 DD aged 8 already and feel very lucky to have her come what may!

Roopers · 18/05/2021 08:11

Hi all. Sounds like some of us are starting to feel a little more normal. I spring out of bed by the sickness and sluggishness descends throughout the day. I'm determined to get 'me' back for the next few weeks and get some exercise in. Just some light Pilates stretches for me and a dog walk this morning and I'll get back on the rowing machine before I get too big to do that! What (if any) exercise are people getting back to now the sickness is passing?

For the list: I'm 35, 1st baby, 13 weeks and EDD 22 November although I'm down for a c-section already (for various reasons) so likely to be 10-15 November.

AlackAlasAlackaday · 18/05/2021 09:07

Welcome @Vintique - wishing you very well for today, it’s such a milestone. Have you told your DD yet?

@Roopers I’m starting pregnancy yoga this week but I’ll be honest, I’m in it for the company and cake after rather than the yoga side. I did find the breathing etc useful in labour last time though.

Welcome and congrats to all the newbies!

Very best of luck with the scan today @Vintique, let us know how it goes.

vixey · 18/05/2021 12:15

I'm quite annoyed. I've not put any weight on since my first appointment in March and I'm now 15 weeks 3 days. I've been getting like twinges ever since I found out and everyone's told me it's normal and all my scans have been normal, I've had a blood test done for down syndrome today and the midwife said they can't do anything if I am miscarrying so would just let me body miscarry as it should, so knowing isn't necessarily better. I hadn't even mentioned miscarriage, she brought that up, now I'm so worried but ive just rung the community midwives and they said that im just over anxious so they'll get the mental health midwife to phone me, I asked for a scan and she said they can't give me a scan when there's no clinical reason. i just feel pushed from pillar to post, one midwife seemed concerned, others aren't bothered. now I'm having a panic attack because I don't know what's going on. xxxx

mrssunshinexxx · 18/05/2021 13:48

Are you naturally slim ? @vixey

Vintique · 18/05/2021 14:28

Thank you so much @AlackAlasAlackaday and @Kimblebee19 - it was all good! Measuring 12+4 which is a couple of days ahead of where I thought. So relieved.

Really sorry to hear you are having such a tough time @vixey. I hope your midwife calls you soon and you get some reassurance or at least answers. X

Vintique · 18/05/2021 14:32

@AlackAlasAlackaday no not told DD yet, probably wait for blood test result but not sure how much longer I can keep this up! There’s only so many excuses I can think of for being permanently horizontal on the sofa...

pineapple2021 · 18/05/2021 14:42

@vixey sorry you are having such a hard time. I've had odd feelings down there too but my midwife seemed a lot better and has said it's totally normal.

I know how you feel though...., had my nhs scan yesterday and baby all fine (even though sonographer was mute) and had horrendous treatment so I've just made a formal complaint to the nhs. Not impressed. My partner had to find the heartbeat as the woman stayed silent the entire scan and threw blue roll at me to dry my belly.

vixey · 18/05/2021 14:47

@mrssunshinexxx
nope, I've been about 14stone for the past year, im far from slim lol.
xxx

vixey · 18/05/2021 14:48

@pineapple2021
that's awful, I had one at 6 weeks who told me she didn't want my husband in the room. I complained about her because the guidelines stated he could be there as long as wearing a medical level mask. she was so rude. some people just have no bedside manner. xxx

pineapple2021 · 18/05/2021 14:58

@vixey yeah I got asked why I was there when I'd have a private blood test for deformities.... so I said 12 week dating scan and she rolled her eyes and just said sit on there..... didn't speak once and then just said wipe the gel I'll send your notes out. There was a lot more rudeness but it's so long. I came out so upset!

happygolucky20 · 18/05/2021 15:27

@pineapple2021 So sorry to hear you had a rough time! We had a private scan at the FMC on Friday for 12 weeks and it was over 40 mins, not painful, we got to ask loads of questions etc came out feeling totally reassured and excited! We went to our NHS one yesterday and the lady barely spoke, it was 4 mins from start to finish, she didn’t explain anything and it was soooooooooo painful, I had to ask her to release some of the pressure more than once!! We have since decided to cancel our 20 wk with the NHS and go back to the FMC - it’s £180 but worth every single penny compared to that! She didn’t even know we had been to the FMC so if it had been my only 12 week I would have been rather gutted!

Randomness12 · 19/05/2021 06:24

@jorisbonsonstoupe how are you doing? I’m sorry I can’t quite remember the date of your amnio? Just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you and hope you are getting lots of real life support.

AlackAlasAlackaday · 19/05/2021 07:12

Gah, pineapple, doesn't sound good at all. I think especially in maternity services bedside manner really matters.
