Due November 2021 - thread 2!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 25/03/2021 08:15

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

Scan went amazingly well! The NT was measuring at 1.4 so they couldn’t understand why the previous clinic worried us at 10 weeks and can only assume that the sonographer wasn’t very good! We were given really low risk of anything and the scan was over 45 mins - blown away with how in depth they go. We are measuring 12 weeks 1 day so slightly ahead of where we thought ❤️❤️❤️

Katy4321 · 14/05/2021 18:59

@happygolucky20 so happy for you. That is wonderful news :)

@kimblebee19 great pics and glad it went well for you too

jorisbonsonstoupe · 14/05/2021 19:06

I had appointment with consultant today and been given some lovely injections to take daily due to risk of blood clots! Has anyone else? More blood tests, scan appointments- the joys of being a geriatric Mum. 15 weeks now. Could murder a beer tonight Smile I had to blow into a thingy to test if I had been smoking too- I've never smoked and it was 0. Thought it was a bit sneaky though as I didn't know what it was for to start with Grin

Waiting for the amino Friday. Decided if it only shows Down Syndrome we will keep the baby.

Iloveyou3x · 14/05/2021 19:47

@Kimblebee19 lovely clear scan picture. Do you have a clue as to whether pink or blue? The nub is clear in the middle pic if you wanted to have a guess!

@jorisbonsonstoupe good luck for Friday! What’s a ‘geriatric mom’ when it’s at home?! How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?

I’ve been thinking we should all make a list of when we’re due, whether it’s our first baby, whether we know sex etc!

So I would be:

@Iloveyou3x, aged 33, third baby, sex unknown so far, due November 15th! Anyone want to contribute and when we start our next thread for November 21 babies we could have it on the original post.

jorisbonsonstoupe · 14/05/2021 19:54

@Iloveyou3x I'm 40. A baby really?Grin

Iloveyou3x · 14/05/2021 20:08

Ooh not old at all!! I wonder if that’s what’s sent your screening results off? The age factor makes such a big difference doesn’t it? I had my first at 26 and now at 33 the ‘risk’ is considered so much higher! Apart from the obvious, how are you getting on? Do you feel physically okay? I am kind of glad I won’t go through this again after this baby Grin I love the excitement of pregnancy but not so much the physical ailments!!

Randomness12 · 14/05/2021 20:57

I’m so pleased you are being supported @jorisbonsonstoupe are the blood thinning injections Fragmin? I had to have those after my section and my god they sting!! Im a bit of a needle-phobe (pregnancy is not enjoyable from that point of view) so my DH had to do them for me. He made a smiley face on my thigh with the bruises Grin

Randomness12 · 14/05/2021 20:58

Huge congratulations to all those with positive scans today too, so many babies on this thread.

jorisbonsonstoupe · 14/05/2021 21:14

That's the one @Randomness12 Grin I was ok with the needle but can't believe the bruise!

pineapple2021 · 15/05/2021 08:56

Anyone still get occasional cramp twinges or pains in sides sometimes? Mine aren't bad..... I got nervous I thought I had the tiniest dot of spotting but think I'm reading into it. Thought getting past 12 weeks would relax me haha.

Katy4321 · 15/05/2021 10:40

@pinapple2021 I do get the old feeling, I guess everything is stretching and I've seen others mention ligament pain can start early. I had a very small amount of brown spotting after my 12 week scan. Midwife was reassuring and said to contact epu if lasts more than a few days or gets red. Maybe just give your midwife a call, to put your mind at ease.

@Iloveyou3x Good idea to make a list. I'm 44 due 13 Nov and a girl.

@jorisbonsonstoupe I feel the same about wanting a beer occasionally! I have had a couple of alcohol free beers with takeouts. Not the same but not bad. I see the consultant in a couple of weeks, I was told to take 150mg aspirin every day by the midwife since 12 week scan. The injection does not sound fun. All the best with the test on Friday, and hopefully this time you will get answers.

Kimblebee19 · 15/05/2021 17:21

@Iloveyou3x Thanks! And tempting, but we're leaving it a surprise again.

@jorisbonsonstoupe glad you are being looked after, I can't imagine how hard the waiting and not knowing must be for you and your DH. Hopefully some relief though at having made a decision on what way to go if DS is confirmed, so at least you have a plan.

@pineapple2021 I'm still getting some cramping now and then. Have you had any more spotting today?

For the list -- @Kimblebee19 31, 2nd baby, sex unknown, DD: 22/11

Barbs96 · 15/05/2021 17:37

Hello, can i join :)
Had a private scan today after some painful cramping on Thursday, measuring 11 days behind at 1.4mm, should be 6w 6. Been trying for over a year, a bit worried.

Maya000 · 15/05/2021 20:53

@Aisforharlot @happygolucky20 @Katy4321 @Kitttycatt just wanted to thank you all for your input last week when I was worrying about NT measurements. I finally got my letter in the post they've classed me as low risk so, I think I'll just ignore the sonographer's comments for now. Thanks again! Hope everyone is getting on okay xx

@Iloveyou3x
For the list: @Maya000 30, 2nd baby, sex unknown

pineapple2021 · 15/05/2021 22:48

@Kimblebee19 no none at all..... I spoke to midwife and I think the fact I had to see any coloured tinge under a very bright light meant it was such a tiny amount. She said the pains is really common everything stretching.

jorisbonsonstoupe · 15/05/2021 23:15

@Barbs96 I've always measured way behind in my early scans and subsequently delivered my previous 4 babies between 37-38 weeks, all healthy weights. They don't all drop at the same rate and especially so early on.

I'll add myself to the list

@jorisbonsonstoupe, age 40, due 3/11, baby number 5, gender TBA

Maya000 · 15/05/2021 23:26

Sorry I didn't add my dd
For the list:@Maya00030, 2nd baby, sex unknown EDD: 05/11

Kimblebee19 · 16/05/2021 06:53

@pineapple2021 ah thats a relief. Its so easy to read too much into every little thing with this pregnancy lark isn't it. I think we'll all feel better once we're sporting big bumps and can feel baby (/babies! for this thread) moving about. Of course then we'll obsess about movements

KimF64 · 16/05/2021 09:52

@Iloveyou3x for the list!
I'm 25, first baby, sex unknown, due 23/11

KimF64 · 16/05/2021 09:55

Also had my 12 week scan this week. Any guesses at the gender welcome as I don't really understand nub theory and skull theory! Smile

@Iloveyou3x I think there was a list earlier in this thread, so with a bit of scrolling it might pop up. Would be good to get it on the first/second post of the next thread, will need to pin it somewhere!

If you want the info again I’m AlackAlas, due 2 Nov but likely to deliver early October, DC2 and 3.
