Due November 2021 - thread 2!

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome . I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@hannah94L that is great they are all doing well. Is this your first pregnancy?

@Elmcg yes beige food has been a bit of a feature for me too and doritos! Trying to balance it out!

Eughhh got a scan today and NIPT test..... feel sick I'm so nervous!!

@Hannah94L amazing! How incredible is that. Would love to see everyones reactions when you tell people its triplets.

@Katy4321 don't say doritos...had a huge craving for doritos and dip, scoffed a whole share bag and most of a jar of salsa, then promptly brought it all back up...5 mins before my booking appt call. Wont be having any more of those in a while 😂

Had my consultant app today decided on a. Planned section I feel Abit disappointed but it's the safest option and I'm going to go with her advice she has over 40 years experience and pretty much saved my sisters life in labour ! Everything happens for a reason or so they say

@kimblebee19 oh that sounds a bit of a dorito disaster! Hope you aren't off them for good.

@mrssunshinexxx I didn't realise they would start considering birth at this stage. Sorry it is not what you hoped, but sounds like you are in good hands. I see a consultant later this month.

@Katy4321 it's my second so maybe that's why? Not shred

All well over here. A week ahead so 12 weeks 1 day now. Any nub and skull experts?!

Gaaaw, pineapple, great pic! I won't guess because I'm rubbish at it.

I'm 15 weeks now and had an app't yesterday with the hospital's twins consultant. The thing itself was fine "medical admin" but I got to have a quick look at the babies, see both heartbeats again which was a nice and unexpected bit of reassurance. Both were in identical positions, mooning us .

Hey all, so happy for everyone getting their first scans 🥰❤️

We had our 12 week scan on Monday and found out we're actually 13 weeks in 🤭 I've been counting the days so this feels like a real blessing 🤗

My baby was super duper wriggly and it took a long time to get all the readings, I was moved onto my side, tipped up so my head was lower than my feet, I had to lift my bum and wriggle my hips 🤭😂 the little tink was making us laugh. When the scan first came on the screen the little legs were all up in the air, very adorable 🤭 Sending lots of love to everyone 🥰❤️

Does anyone have days where they feel pregnant, and says where they don't feel it at all?

I’m 13+2 today and started antisickness tablets
At our private uss the sonographer was very certain about the gender of the baby! But we are going back at 15 weeks to confirm. Very excited!!

Can I guess @Iloveyou3x will you confirm?bd

@Aisforharlot yes me! I've hardly had any symptoms so easily forget I am pregnant! It's only when I stand up too quickly and it hurts that I remember!!

@Aisforharlot I had a couple of days where I felt better, but then tiredness just tends to hit. My middle is definitely getting quite a bit wider and I'm becoming more consciousness of that.

Just out of curiosity how many mummy's to be are planning on finding out if boy/girl? I'm completely impatient and would love to know so I can start getting stuff for one or the other rather than all neutral (ie excuse for shopping) but daddy to be would like a surprise one day/wants to know the next (come the 20wk scan will go with want he wants as we are thrilled regardless). Just wondering....

@Crazybabylady14 We'll be leaving it a surprise. Last time I was quite keen to find out but DH didn't want to, in the end I was really glad we decided to leave it a surprise, so will definitely be doing the same this time. I was so conviced it was a boy though, so when he came out it just felt like confirming what I already knew!

So lovely seeing everyones scan pics! Got mine tomorrow and can't think of anything else. Such a weird mix of excitement and nerves (and a bit of relief that this seemingly endless wait is finally almost over). Who else has their scan soon?

@Crazybabylady14 I will be finding out (In less than 2 weeks!!) we’re going to a private place with a really good scan machine. She told me at 13 wks what she thought it was but just going back to confirm and get better pics haha. I found out with both my other pregnancies and knowing I was going to meet my boys was so helpful during Labour!

Ooh also just to add if you can get a good enough pic of the nub and are further on than say bang on 12 weeks the nub theory is super accurate and matches with what we’ve been told!

@HLMx your scan pic is super clear and 13 weeks is a good time to do the nub theory but I can’t make out where the nub is! Do you have any other images? Sometimes the nub doesn’t show.

@jorisbonsonstoupe have been thinking of you this week. I hope your CVS went well yesterday and you are feeling ok
