Due November 2021 - thread 2!

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@Maya000 Very relieved! Don't they just! Consultants are worse 😂

Randomness12 · 07/05/2021 14:40

I’m so sorry @jorisbonsonstoupe that must be really stressful and upsetting. I hope you have some support? Do you know when the CVS will be? One in 2 is still a 50% chance of the baby not being affected.

Marnie1234 · 07/05/2021 15:45

Hi all I had my scan last Thursday but baby was really playing up so they couldn’t do my screening are my NT, so they’ve sent me a letter and for my bloods done at 15 week for the downs test, I am only 29 just turned .. and they did say it did all look fine she just couldn’t do the tests because the baby would not move I have been a little worried since as anyone been through this? Xx

jorisbonsonstoupe · 07/05/2021 16:13

Thanks random, CVS is Tuesday and results within a few days so at least I will know, it's the not knowing.

lucerito · 07/05/2021 18:48

I had my prenatal screaming last Friday, haven't heard anything yet. I'm having faith everything is going well. Sometimes that is all we can do.
Praying for you ladies who are waiting and anxious.
And congratulations to the ones who have had good reports.

happygolucky20 · 07/05/2021 19:08

@jorisbonsonstoupe I really feel for you and going by my past week, know how f”@£ing pants the waiting and not knowing is and ours only came from an off the cuff comment of “you have a prominent NT but don’t worry it might be fine”. We went for our harmony test today at a different clinic in London so are now also in the waiting so I am with you in this too. We go for our 12 week scan next Friday so god knows how we will survive the next week.
Just wanted to say I’m thinking of you and all the best for the CVS. Only search positive stories if you do what I did and fall down the google rabbit hole of death!

😂 feeling a bit bored on a Friday night?

Iloveyou3x · 07/05/2021 19:36

I’m sorry for those having worrying times over their screening results. Really hoping for the best outcome for you all x

AlackAlasAlackaday · 07/05/2021 19:41

Good luck @happygolucky20 @jorisbonsonstoupe @lucerito and anyone else waiting for test results. It's so nerve-wracking.

I've started cyclizine today as the morning sickness just isn't shifting. I don't think it's working (or maybe I'm expecting miracles?). One of the side-effects is drowsiness though, and I definitely have that! Grin Whoops. Is anyone else taking it? How have you found it?

OP posts:
happygolucky20 · 08/05/2021 08:14

@lucerito I think that’s a good sign you haven’t heard? My MW said if there was cause for concern they would call within three days, if not a letter would be sent taking up to two weeks 🤞

We went to the fetal medicine centre yesterday and the service and detail of scan blew my mind! She was a lot more reassuring than my scan on Monday and reaffirmed that the lady shouldn’t have mentioned my NT as even yesterday she couldn’t measure it due to not being 12 weeks! We were however measuring a week ahead so are going back on Friday for our 12 week scan which should break up the 2 week wait for the harmony results to come back.

@AlackAlasAlackaday gosh, sorry you’re still feeling so sick!

Hannah94L · 08/05/2021 09:17

@AlackAlasAlackaday I started cyclizine on Tuesday. I’ve been taking one before I go to bed as I was throwing up from 2am most nights. That seems to have stopped but still sick when my alarm goes off at 7 for work

AlackAlasAlackaday · 08/05/2021 09:22

@Hannah94L sounds like it’s helping with your nights, at least. That’s good news, and hopefully you’re waking up much more rested.

I asked on a multiples FB group when people’s morning sickness shifted and it really wasn’t happy reading. Increased hormone levels I guess.

@happygolucky20
Thank you!
One week ahead is a good sign too 🤗
I hope you get an amazing report.

vixey · 08/05/2021 23:13

I've felt loads better since my 12 week scan and knowing everything is OK, however the last couple of days I've started thinking I'm going to start feeling baby move in the next few weeks as I'm 14 weeks today. it's made me nervous that I'm not going to recognise it or not be able to track my babys movements. I mean what if I cant feel it or I don't know its kicking. how do you know when it's baby kicking? it's stressing me out. xxx

Maya000 · 08/05/2021 23:43

@vixey it starts off like a fluttering sensation like you've got butterflies in your stomach. As your pregnancy progresses, they'll become more noticeable. I remember my DD wasn't very active (she's making up for it now) and it use to stress me out thinking shes not moving. So, I use to drink cold drinks and walk around just so I can feel her move. But, the midwife reassured me no two babies are the same some are more active than others. You'll soon work out a pattern some babies are more active in the morning. I use to always feel her move whenever I use to get in the shower lol Dont worry it will all make sense soon. In the final trimester you might be able to feel their foot or you'll see your entire stomach move when the baby moves. That use to make my day. Sorry for rambling on hope it helps xx

vixey · 09/05/2021 09:04

@maya000
thank you. I've never heard a good description before. People have just said it feels like butterflies but coz of my anxiety I always feel like I have butterflies. and I feel like butterflies feel different to different people. xxx

Kimblebee19 · 09/05/2021 09:59

@vixey echoing what Maya said, don't worry they might start out as 'was that baby?' flutters, but soon enough they'll be 'that was DEFINITELY baby!' wiggles and eventually they'll be unmistakable movements and kicks. It's very hard to describe it fully, but when you experience it you'll know. Don't stress too much about noticing patterns right away though, baby is so small at first that if they decide to move positions you might not feel them for a while - I think its after 24 weeks that they get more reliable and need paying attention to. It's absolute magic feeling your baby move inside you, i've got all excited thinking about feeling it again, can't wait. ☺

@jorisbonsonstoupe so sorry you are going through this. Hope you get some answers soon and it goes well at your CVS tomorrow. It is agonising waiting.

Hope everyone is doing okay and the first trimester symptoms are beginning to at least ease. I was away for a fews on a mini holiday and felt much more energetic. Got back yesterday and feel exhausted and sick again, although the sickness is much less than a few weeks ago. I guess symptoms come and go a bit.

ELMcg · 10/05/2021 17:51

@Katy4321 my symptoms are coming and going alot. I'm at 11 weeks now and thought my sickness had all but gone and then yesterday boom! Was basically on the couch all day and got no sleep last night feeling sick! It's weird I feel so sick and so hungry all at the same time. Making a more conscious effort to snack on healthy things though, the diet was very beige for 6 weeks or so! 😂

Hannah94L · 10/05/2021 18:18

Hi all, had my first nhs scan this morning and got to see our triplets again. They’re all measuring great with our biggest at 12+6. Such a relief seeing them all moving about on screen.

Due November 2021 - thread 2!
AlackAlasAlackaday · 10/05/2021 18:37

@Hannah94L wow! Amazing. It must be a pretty rare thing for them to see, too. How are you feeling? I’ve only got two in there and am feeling absolutely enormous at 15 weeks.

OP posts:
jorisbonsonstoupe · 10/05/2021 19:45

Thank you Katy, I've almost come to terms in my head that something is badly wrong- I'll come back and update.

I feel heavy and enormous too, does triplets feel much bigger or is that a silly question 😍

Hannah94L · 10/05/2021 20:29

@AlackAlasAlackaday I'm so relieved after this morning, it's felt like ages since my private scan. Think the sickness is slowly easing for me. I'm still managing to fit in my normal clothes but they're getting tight.

@jorisbonsonstoupe hope your doing ok and the CVS goes ok tomorrow. At the moment I don't feel very big but I've seen triplet mums at 23 weeks measuring the same as a a 35 singleton pregnancy.
