@mrssunshinexxx @duenov042021 @dixiechick1991 and everyone else who has had scans so glad it is going well for you.
And all best for those who are waiting.
@elmcg my symptoms of feeling sick started to decrease week 9/10, but I think I have been lucky and relatively mild. Still quite tired, but not as bad as a couple of week ago.
Is any one else finding they have insomnia? I get to sleep fine, then my bladder wakes me in the early hours, and stay awake for a couple of hours, all restless. Sometimes I get up and have a bowl of cereal with milk, and then get back to sleep.
I have had two scans recently, a very detailed one when I went to a private clinic for a genetic NIPT test at just over ten weeks and the NHS at 11+4. Both went well and reassuring. I did then start having brown spotting the day after the NHS scan, but that thankfully appears to have stopped and the community midwife was reassuring, said to call epu if becomes red or continues for several days.
My combined screen came back with a chance of 1 in 34, which given my age (mid forties) I wasn't that surprised. Also from my understanding of that test it is basically trying to identify anyone who may have higher chance, so can figure out if the want to do further test. The next day I got the results of my NIPT and all is negative, which I'm so so relieved about.
@Kimblebee19 I told a couple of close friends early on for moral support, as was a bit overwhelmed. Have waited until tests back to tell mine and DP parents. Felt rather emotional, as first grandchild, and don't think mine ever expected to be grandparents. Still feeling quite cautious about it all and taking it one day at a time.
All the best with your announcement, I'm sure they will be delighted however you tell them and totally understand want DH at your scan.
