Due November 2021 - thread 2!

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome . I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@ELMcg hey. Am in UK but also getting an error with my notes app!

@Jessie68 @DizSquiz maybe it is UK wide then, so annoying! Hopefully it fixes overnight or something!

@Aisforharlot yes 100% electronic no paper! Which is great... When the app works!

@ELMcg mines working again now, how's yours?

@DizSquiz yes mine is too but had to set a password etc again. Bloods still aren't there which is a bit disappointing, might take another day or two I suppose!

Hi all! I’m new:) I’m 10 weeks today! I really don’t feel pregnant, haven’t really had any symptoms to be honest. Just hoping everything is going okay! I have my first scan the 12th of may:) I am due the 25th of November:)

Hi @ELMcg I'm in Edinburgh but have the trusty blue file of hard copy notes. An app would be SO much better!

We had a wee private scan last week at 9w and explained about our previous Mmc at a scan and our mc at Xmas. The sonographer couldn't have been nicer. Immediately looked for heartbeat and found a good strobe one. Everything as it should be for 9w and she dated me 9w3 which is about right as I know I Ovulated early.

So I'm not too sure on edd anymore. It was 25 nov but she said 22nov but they'll know more at 12 week scan in a few weeks.

Sickness is only just starting to go away but still need to eat every 2 hours - an improvement from every 30 mins though.

My hubby is hopeful I may show him some interest at some point.... it's been a while 😉 anyone else just not interested in sex at all. Or, like me am petrified you'll bleed and mc? I'm hoping to Hold out a little longer until there is no hope of me throwing up on him!

@Roopers how strange that different areas do it differently! Have to say the app is the way forward. We are at a similar stage, I'm 9 weeks today with an EDD of 30th November.

Got my scan on the 20th of May so nearly on the 3 week countdown! I too had a MMC at 12+5 at Christmas so looking forward to getting the 12 week scan out of the way and hopefully all being OK!

My notes are paper too and a massive plastic zip up folder.

I have brief moments of wanting sex, but am so shattered by evening I'm in bed by 9.30.
Also had my bleeding scare after sex, so I have no idea if it would trigger bleeding again.
I now have 1 week til 12 week scan, so fingers crossed all is well and I can do stuff again

@Roopers same with DH here. I can sympathise, poor guy went from scheduled sex every other day for months to a total drought . I’m just not up for it, mainly just my sensitivity to taste/smell at the moment that puts me right off.

@ShutUpAlex I also have the giant folder. I wish I had an app, I’m terrified of forgetting an appointment.

Haha i still don’t have a midwife so I’m not worried about missing g appointments atm

alex gah, still??! Gosh, they’re really taking their time there.

It’s the opposite here - between having hypothyroidism and expecting twins it’s appointments every other week nearly. I’ll need a second giant purple folder soon

I’ve got my scan on Thursday but still not heard from my new midwife team...

Got my 12 week scan on the 4th May feel so excited and deathly nervous about it too. So scared of a Mmc :( had no previous scans so feel like I'm in the dark with no idea how baby is doing.

@Roopers my dh is feeling a bit neglected too but I just can’t face it between the exhaustion and nausea. I’m hoping it lifts at 12 weeks like my first.

My scan is 10th May, feels like a really long wait but just under 2 weeks to go.

I’ve got loads going on at work and I’m finding having to be “on it” in front of people all day so draining. Literally on the drive home it’s like everything drains out of my body and I collapse on the sofa!

11+3 today and have been so ill. The first time I've been physically sick from pregnancy. I'm hoping it's the last bout 😩

@Girlmama3 I feel the same. I managed to get to a meeting this morning and have spent the rest of the day in bed after another tough night. It is relentless but I’m trying to see as a positive sign!

@Roopers not just you, my poor husband went from every night to once since we found out and I was petrified the whole time. Sounds awful and I could never ever tell him, but the smell of being that close to someone puts me completely off before I’ve even entered the fear of MC (which I know is completely unrelated). I remember him moaning about the “scheduled sex” when we were trying and I often remind him that i did warn him to make the most of it 😂

@ShutUpAlex auww look at that! So exciting seeing everyone's scan photos - haven't had any scans myself yet this pregnancy and finding it hard to believe there's one of those in there! Glad all is well and hope they sort out the other stuff for you soon.

Very excited that people in this group are starting to hit the 12 week mark too. Finally had my booking appt now and have a scan date - counting down the days anxiously to 13th May! Feels a lifetime away.

Midwife did tell me not to kiss my toddler on the mouth because of bacteria - anyone else had this advice? I don't think i'm going to be able to keep to that one...

I'm 3 weeks today until my scan so at least it's in sight now!

Had a bit of a silly wobble yesterday, I went to get my nails done and one of the nail techs announced she was pregnant, 8 weeks pregnant! She then went on to say I don't understand how/why anyone would keep it a secret. There's me sitting there 9 and a half weeks pregnant but saying nothing (I had a loss at 12 weeks before so very cautious!) I came home and said to my husband I felt so awkward. Obviously I am really happy for the lady but I am once bitten over here and certainly the only saving grace for me about my miscarriage was I got to tell people on my own terms. I suppose in a way I feel like that stage of total joy and no worry doesn't exist for me which is such a shame!

@ELMcg I feel the same after a previous mc. I’ve told a couple of friends after we went for a walk and I had to throw up but nobody else. Another friend recently announced at 4 weeks! I am so happy she’s so confident but I have to try not to think about it.
