Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome . I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

ttcno1 - congratulations!! How are you processing it all? It’s twins here too and iirc a set of triplets floating around the group too, you’re in good company.

Hi all, hope you are all ok.

I have been reading this thread and wanted to drop a message to see if anyone has experienced anything similar to me.

2 weeks ago I got a positive test result! Exactly 2 days later I started spotting which has continued for 10 days, it’s gotten darker and more red which is fresh blood, it’s only happening when I wipe but I know this isn’t a good sign.

I was booked in for a scan at EPU last week and was told to be around 5 weeks and to early to determine what’s going on. I’m scheduled to go back on Tuesday next week but I just know it’s not going to be great news.

I feel tired quite often but haven’t had any other symptoms as such. No nausea and the achy breasts come and go. I took a test last night and had a really strong positive line but don’t want to get my hopes up.

@LolaX94 I think it’s just waiting for that scan ☹️ I wish I could offer something more and hopefully someone else will be able to?

@Lolax94 you must be so worried! Sending lots of love! Unfortunately all you can do is wait for the scan. They will be able to tell you more than anyone else can. There's many possible reasons for bleeding not just MC although I know it's natural to fear the worst. My friend bled throughout her pregnancy and was totally fine. Hopefully time passes quickly and you will get your answers. ❤️

Those of you who work in schools if you've told your boss/manager has anything been put in place for your safety or are they just expecting you to carry on as normal?

Nothing yet but there's talk of an RA soon about me using stairs! Have you had anything?

@pineapple2021 don't complain! I was worried about this too and then instantly regretted it as it got much much worse after.
You're right there is no pleasing us! As horrible as the symptoms are, they are some kind of reassurance aren't they? Especially before that scan and have proof there's an actual baby in there!

Have your symptoms been more severe with two? Did you have a feeling at all?

@Needingsupportplease I actually told my headteacher today as I haven't been in work all week due to sickness and DH said I needed to be honest. I work as a Business Manager so he has offered for me to work from home until 12 weeks - our toilets are open straight off the corridor so my fear is being sick or dry heaving at work and the whole building would be able to hear! After our mc last year, I really don't want anyone to know until later on (I told everyone straight away last time as I had no idea that mc was even a possibility) but I also look bloomin massive this time so not sure how I will hide it!
Your Head should do a RA straight away really.

My risk assessment is tomorrow so will see what is said!

Think I might be miscarrying but honestly don't know.
I had some spotting starting after sex sunday, scan at epu yesterday showed baby good for dates and fine.
Since then I've had bright red blood on and off when wiping, and lots in the bowl first thing when I do a wee. I have no idea what's happening.

Baby was 10+2 yesterday.

Hi @Aisforharlot I have had bleeding the last 3 days I went for a scan this morning and all ok so far, can you get booked for another scan?

@mrssunshinexxx they said only if I soak a pad? Is have to go through the gp again. How are you?

I have had nobody to ask about the bleeding, only the sonographers who were not midwives.

I feel relieved but I'm sure I'll be back to square one of any more blood @Aisforharlot ring early pregnancy unit of your hospital they should be able to book you in for a scan failing that ring your midwife x

So today marks marks the 12th day from when my bleeding initially started. Over the last couple of days it has definitely gotten better only a little bit and more or less brown which I’m hoping means it’s stopped.

I have had a fair bit of bright red and dark red blood but it’s only ever been when I’ve wiped. Not had any large clots or anything like that just the odd bit of tissue. So ready for my scan next week to have that confirmation of what’s happening. I just wind myself up though my taking more tests I’ve stopped with the digital ones and my tests still have very prominent blue lines so it’s just a waiting game now.

Just found out today that the midwife who did my booking appointment never submitted my notes, so none of my referrals have been made and no 12 week scan booked for me. I’m so upset.

alex - wow. Have they said what they are going to do? What a pain.

No I can’t get through to her and she’s not replied to any of my messages.

Hmm, doesn’t sound great. I’d give it another day and then maybe complain/escalate?
