Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome . I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

I'm having a section @mrssunshinexxx my first labour and back end of pregnancy was horrendous and Ended up with an emcs and poorly baby so I'm just opting for one this time! What are you thinking? Hope everyone is ok. I've stepped back as feeling so anxious. Finally plucked up the courage to reefer to midwife but can't ever get through to drs! So never mind.. 9 days until my private scan 🤞

Hello! I'm a late commer to the party lol. First time mom. 8 +5 weeks and I've been sick almost every day of those 8 weeks 😂😂😂 already had an early scan as they were concerned about my level of sickness but all looked well.

Have had some spotting and cramps since last night, earliest EPU can see me is next Thursday. 6+3 today and so far not a single symptom. Just don’t have a very good feeling

@AngeloMysterioso hope you and baby are ok! Thats rubbish that they can't see you any earlier :( could you afford a private scan just to find out whats happening so you know and don't have to wait? Thinking of you x

@AngeloMysterioso hope you're okay. It may just be implantation bleeding/cramping I had the same at 4 weeks and 6 weeks. Hope you get some good news! x

@Needingsupportplease I feel really torn I wish like you I could just make a decision it literally changes daily. I was in labour for 26 hours last time stuck at 4cm so I opted for a section so there was no major emergency or anything but I was absolutely exhausted I didn't enjoy the recovery from the section but I think I did too much but then this time I'll have a 16 month old at home so not really going to have much chance to rest. I just don't know if I want to risk a VBAC that could potentially end in a section. Also the risk of tearing badly and other things going wrong with a natural. Feel like there is no easy decision.
we would love a big family so o feel like I can't have a section as there's only so many you can have BUT there's nothing to say after having number 2 we could change our mind about a big family and be happy with 2

I have a really stupid question...... has anyone had a bath since being pregnant? I love baths so much but am so scared to..... I have such hot ones and I know I can't do that but I'm so concerned about water getting in and damaging the baby..... my OH keeps saying this isn't physically possible. Anyone else with this fear or has bathed and been fine?!

@pineapple2021 I was told that having hot showers was not a good idea during pregnancy but, I couldn't help it. I used to have hot baths/showers 2-3 times a day with my first pregnancy. I had horrible swelling and itching and having a bath/shower was the only thing that would give me some relief. It didn't have any impact on my pregnancy/DD :)

sorry I forgot to add that I was advised against hot showers as it was linked to causing low blood pressure & inducing dizzy spells etc but, if I drank a glass of water before going in I was fine. @pineapple2021

@pineapple2021 I love hot baths too I still have them and had in last pregnancy too I have a LOT cooler than I would usually but probably warmer than is advised x

Hi Ladies, I think I’m out. I’ve had a sudden show of fresh blood 🥺 hospital say they will call me on Monday but I think I know it would take a miracle. Xx

@DizSquiz I had to make another self referral as I didn't hear from anyone after waiting over two weeks. Call your antenatal clinic and they should be able to book you in asap. I've now got an appt next week. I'm over 9 weeks aswell

So so sorry @happygolucky20 can you try and just really rest up over the weekend you never know ?? It's so shit you have to wait til over the weekend

Just joined the thread and catching up. I have a question, I am 7 weeks. I had an early scan and it was wonderful however I cannot make out what is what on the scan picture. It doesn’t look like any of the others I’ve seen. Thank you

@happygolucky20 blood doesn't always mean the end honestly the clots and bleeding i had with my healthy pregnancy was insane. Are you in any pain? That's rubbish that they can't get you in any sooner :( think I'd have to have a private one as wouldn't want to wait till Monday. Really hope you are ok and your little baby sticks!! X

@Needingsupportplease I had a cramp for about 5 mins on the opposite side from the usual cramps. I assumed it had imbedded on the left side due to previous cramps but the pain today was on the right but it didn’t feel ok and I sat with a hot water bottle and then it went and I had a show of fresh blood, nothing since 🤷🏻‍♀️
I have looked at the local clinics and they are all fully booked this weekend so I think it’s the horrid “wait and see”. I’ve just had my usual vomiting spell so I suppose wait for the symptoms to go too? The world just seems a tad cruel.

my midwife told me a hot bath is OK as long as its at a temperature where I can get in without having to let it cool down. xxx

I've basically lived in the bath recently.
I queried this with my midwife and she said baths are fine as long as its a temperature where you can get straight in without letting it cool.
honestly I wouldn't worry, I've been so sick that I pulled a muscle and ended up in so much pain with my back so spent almost a full day in the bath. xxx

@DizSquiz Birmingham. If you mention you're over 9 weeks they should hopefully be able to book you in asap. Hope you get it sorted soon x
