Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

I took two at home pregnancy test that came out positive on Wednesday March 31st and they both came out positive. I then went to the doctors office the next day on Thursday April 1st to get a confirmation I took another urine test and it came out positive. The doctor predicted that I was around 4 weeks. I had very light bleeding that then started to come on to a little bit a a flow not to much like a period though. For the past few day I have been feeling very nauseous so I was seen today on Saturday April 3rd at the ER due to the fact I couldn’t hold down fluid or solids. I told them I was pregnant and showed them my doctor confirmation they proceeded to do a blood test and they said it came back negative. They told me to test writhin 3-5 days. I have been very confused if anyone could help me out it would me a lot. What could be the reasoning for this.?

Sugarskulllover · 04/04/2021 10:17

Morning all,

I hope you don't mind me joining. Albeit tentatively, I had a MC in feb at 5+2 and have found out I'm pregnant again straight after Shock
I think I'm about 5+6 now and I have my booking in booked for 13th and hoping to get an early scan booked in.

I'm so nervous, I've done so many tests and the line is super dark but I'm questioning every twinge I have.

I'm so tired all day and my boobs feel heavy and tender and I'm nauseous through the day too. Taking these as good signs.

Wishing you all well and hoping to get to know you all! I have 1 DS who will be 3 in August Smile

PinkElephant7 · 04/04/2021 17:34

@JaydenB07082020 that must be worrying for you. I'm afraid I don't have any answers but hope you get some soon. Thinking of you X

pineapple2021 · 04/04/2021 20:15

Nausea hit today..... nearly threw up my bbq lamb! Comes in such random waves....7up and lollipops seem to help. Got early scan on Saturday.... so nervous.

vixey · 04/04/2021 20:28

@pineapple2021 me too. Well actually mine started about two weeks ago. it got better, then at 4:30 this morning it came back with a vengeance. im honestly starting to think I cant cope, that my body cant cant cope. hoping I can keep it at bay until Tuesday and speak to my midwife. because I'm really feeling so low about myself and my capabilities to cope. xxx

pineapple2021 · 04/04/2021 20:33

@vixey how far along are you now? Are you physically sick or not? I just have the gross feeling and had a few moments where it's touch and go. It makes me feel so unmotivated though.... really struggled to get out of bed this morning!

vixey · 04/04/2021 20:52

@pineapple2021
I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. today I've only been sick twice but when it was bad at 7 weeks, I was throwing up everything I ate or drank, all fluids. I was severely dehydrated and needed alot of fluids and anti sickness. but today's the worst it has been in like two weeks, its horrible. my anti sickness tablets are all that is getting me through right now. xxxx

Rozed · 04/04/2021 21:13

I have had some spotting and light bleeding today, along with cramping.. I'm so worried. Rang 111, just waiting for a doctor to call me back. I have brought my early scan forward from the 12th to next week. Fingers crossed everything is OK Sad

Hannah94L · 05/04/2021 07:39

Thank you everyone for the messages. Think we’ve got over the initial shock that there’s 3 of them. We are now feeling very blessed, scared, excited. Every emotion at the moment.

Trying to enjoy it (through the sickness) before we start figuring things out like moving from our 2 bed flat and bigger cars.

We’ve started telling family and close friends (sonographer suggested it we should so i don’t feel stressed). It’s so funny watching everyone’s faces when we say ‘babies’ Grin

monnis · 05/04/2021 10:16

Morning everyone. I hope everyone is doing well today.
I had my midwife appointment over the phone last week and because of my age (40) and the fact that it's my first baby, I've come back as at risk for low birth weight and pre eclampsia and therefore need to take a low dose of aspirin from 12 weeks. Having looked into this I've seen that some people take aspirin to help the placenta develop from the start of pregnancy. Having had a mmc last year, I'm now wondering whether to start taking aspirin now (8+1). Do any of you have any experience of this? Tia x

ronniemipperton · 05/04/2021 10:25

I don’t have any experience of risk of pre-eclampsia but I’m taking 75mg aspirin and have been since I got my bfp. I did last pregnancy too after two MCs - it can help with blood clotting issues which I think I probably have as last pregnancy I stopped taking aspirin at 12 weeks (midwife said I didn’t need to anymore) and got a pulmonary embolism. The consultant in the hospital said I should never have stopped taking it. You should probably call your midwife and ask but I doubt they’d tell you not to. You might want to ask about dose though - I think 150mg is the recommended amount bow. I’m still taking 75mg as that’s what I was prescribed last time plus I’m on enoxaparin (blood thinning injections) as well.

AlackAlasAlackaday · 05/04/2021 10:25

monnis there are a couple of discussions around aspirin after loss / in early pregnancy on MN, worth a google. I'm taking it preemptively and have done since ovulation; I can't quite understand the logic of waiting until 12 weeks - did your MW explain why?

hannah - gaaaw, I bet they're delighted (and hopefully ready to help!). We're also in the market for a new home/car/everything as we'll be going from 1 to 3 all being well, and WhatCar has a useful article titled "Best cars for three child car seats".

@PinkElephant7 I am so so so sorry. Thinking of you xx

monnis · 05/04/2021 10:56

Thanks @ronniemipperton and @AlackAlasAlackaday The midwife said that it's to help the blood flow to the placenta and so she's prescribed be 75mg from 12 weeks but think I may as well start on them now. I haven't been able to find any reason as to why not to. Thanks again x

monnis · 05/04/2021 10:58

Congratulations @jorisbonsonstoupe. Baby number 5, wow! You must have a busy household 😊
