Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

Great news @ShutUpAlex !!

@AlackAlasAlackaday omg I was literally just thinking about how naive i was about pregnancy. I knew it would be hard but I'm only 6 weeks and already feeling sorry for myself !!!! Non stop nausea and the strongest sense of smell are the worst combination!!!

AlackAlasAlackaday · 02/04/2021 21:42

@happyavocado28 it really is. Fingers crossed it passes very soon, I'm forgetting what it's like to feel normal.

Good morning ladies, hope it's ok to join (finally, after lurking around my TTC boards despite getting my BFP on Mother's Day!). 7 weeks today with EDD 20th November, but am expecting this to shift as my cycles had gone a bit funny lately. I have a DS who is 2, and at times am feeling a little crazy for doing this again right now 🙈 caught on a spur of the moment decision (as I was meant to be waiting for a scan to investigate the weird cycles) which I wasn't expecting as it took 8 cycles of really trying to conceive last time! Excited and anxious, doesn't feel fully real yet and just wishing the time away until the dating scan to make sure it's really happening!

@AlackAlasAlackaday I'm feeling so rough all the time im miserable.. haven't vomitted just nausea allll the time and gagging everytime I smell the fridge bin or dishwasher!

With my first baby it didn't stop until 14 weeks

Randomness12 · 03/04/2021 08:44

That’s great news @ShutUpAlex! Congratulations!

Welcome @Kimblebee19!

I was actually sick yesterday afternoon for the first time, feels like reassuring progression which is horrid at the same time Hmm

happygolucky20 · 03/04/2021 08:46

Can relate to the sickness, I’ve only had it for two days but it feels like it has come out of nowhere, like a switch just flicked!! Can I ask what anyone is drinking? I just can’t stomach anything and worried that I’m not drinking enough - usually two/three litres of water a day, now I can’t manage a sip!

Welcome @Kimblebee19!!

DoveGreylove · 03/04/2021 09:09

Congrats @Kimblebee19!!

@happygolucky20 you poor thing im drinking water with lemon and ice. That's the only thing I can drink. Have you tried squash? Lemonade? Flat coke? Ice lolly?

LeonorN · 03/04/2021 09:32

Hello, I’m 41 years old. 6 weeks pregnant

Due Nov 24.

We live in Spain.

It’s soooo hard not to tell anyone. We want to wait until all the tests, end of first trimester.

But I’m bursting with excitement.

happygolucky20 · 03/04/2021 10:17

@DoveGreylove thank you, I will make some ice and try that. I’ve been sipping decaf coke as that’s all that stays down.
And to think, this time last week I was desperate to feel pregnant

ahuss · 03/04/2021 11:45

@vixey good luck for today! 💕

DoveGreylove · 03/04/2021 11:54

@happygolucky20 I know, you wish for symptoms but then you wish you didn't feel so sick! First trimester is a rough ride isn't it. I hope you manage to find something that goes down well, stay hydrated Flowers

Huge congrats @LeonorN ! I am waiting til the 12 week scan and NIPT too before we tell close friends or family. It's such a long wait, it's going so slowly especially now I'm feeling sick 24/7!

Kimblebee19 · 03/04/2021 12:51

@happygolucky20 I'm terrible at drinking fluids at the best of times and even though I try to do better when pregnant, I find my body compensates by craving juicy things - grapes, cherry tomatoes etc. a whole tub of coleslaw Hmm the bonus being that it seems to help with the nausea to keep snacking on those things. Going through a pack of red grapes daily! Could you try getting your fluids up this way with fruit etc.?
Or even chocoloate milk Smile

Kimblebee19 · 03/04/2021 13:32

@LeonorN we're also waiting until after the scan to tell anyone. Lockdown is helping with that I suppose, but time is dragging sooooo slowly. Remember back in the good ol' days when the 2ww was our biggest concern Grin

I don't even have dates for any appointments yet to work towards! Had to chase midwives up 2 weeks after referral and just said someone would call around 10 weeks. 😐

Hannah94L · 03/04/2021 17:02

Hi all, hope your all having a good Saturday. We booked an early for this morning when we found out we were expecting.
Today we found out it’s triplets! All measuring slightly ahead of what I thought. Two measuring at 7+1 and one measuring at 6+6.

Due November 2021 - thread 2!
ahuss · 03/04/2021 17:22

@Hannah94L WOW! That's incredible! Congratulations!!!!

Girlmama3 · 03/04/2021 17:45

AlackAlasAlackaday · 03/04/2021 17:46

hannah oh my goodness! Do you have older dc? And have you recovered from the shock yet?? Grin

Hannah94L · 03/04/2021 18:22

@ahuss Thank you

@girlmama3 @AlackAlasAlackaday this is our first pregnancy, no other children. A couple of sets of twins on both sides of the family but not in the immediate family.

The lady who did the scan has also been a midwife for 30 years and said this was her first triplet scan.

Randomness12 · 03/04/2021 18:31

Wow @Hannah94L huge congratulations! Such a wonderful surprise, I hope you are beginning to process this news Flowers

monnis · 03/04/2021 18:37

vixey · 03/04/2021 19:07

scan went really well today and considering I'm only 8 weeks we were able to hear babys heartbeat which has really made my day. feels real now. xxx

Needingsupportplease · 03/04/2021 19:15

Oh my word @hannah94l amazing! How do you feel about that? Xx

@vixey that's lovely glad you've had a good scan.

Counting down the days for mine!!

happygolucky20 · 03/04/2021 21:56

@Hannah94L wowsers three?!? Congratulations! That explains the strong sickness! How amazing! So already in the group, we have 1 set of twins and 1 set of triplets Grin

happygolucky20 · 03/04/2021 21:56

@vixey that’s such wonderful news too, so pleased for you both.
