Due November 2021 - thread 2!

Following on from the first thread which is nearly full, here we are with another thread to keep us going through the first trimester and beyond.

Welcome Smile. I'm Alack, currently 8+something with twins, due 2 November but likely to make an early appearance. Also have DD (3).

Currently on the group we mostly seem to be food-averse insomniacs who just want a nap, so here's hoping for some pregnancy glow! Grin And less anxiety as the weeks go on.

@GemP139

Hiya,

Is anyone else ridiculously tired? I'm 6+2 and for the last 3 days I've been absolutely exhausted! Literally having to drag myself out of bed on a morning, despite going up at 9.30 and getting up at 8 (albeit with a few wake ups in the night). My legs feel like dead weights all morning and having to drag them around!

So pleased I'm still working from home, not sure I'd make the commute and office all day! 😴😴😴

This is my first so all new to me!

Yes me. And feel sick all the time. I'm 6+4.

Also pleased to be WFH this time! Last time I had to invent a fitness kick to explain my sudden complete disinterest in tea. I miss tea so much but it makes me feel so queasy . . .

Needingsupportplease · 01/04/2021 16:27

@ts87 the bloat is REAL I look about 5 months pregnant by the evenings! I didnt show with my dd until 19 weeks.. got a feeling this one will be ALOT sooner haha x

PinkElephant7 · 01/04/2021 16:42

My scan didn't go great today! Measured 6,6 so I guessed that right. They did a transvaginal scan and couldn't see yolk sac or embryo. I'm booked in for a scan with the Early Pregnancy Unit next week and they said it's very early and want to see for themselves. My expectations are very much managed right now! 🙄

Babycrawf · 01/04/2021 16:45

I got some happy mail in the post today. Turn out my first midwife appointment is with an actual person and not over the telephone. So so happy about this. @Needingsupportplease @TS87 I swear I look like I’m pregnant already and have this feeling it’s twins. Fifth pregnancy but will be fourth child and the odds at my age of multiple are up
There. I feel lousy (but happy about it) and could sleep for Britain. Currently off work sick as it’s 12 hour shifts and think the majority of it would be in the loo vomiting or snoozing!

Babycrawf · 01/04/2021 16:46

Keeping everything crossed for you.

babynov · 01/04/2021 16:47

Sorry to hear that @PinkElephant7 the waiting is awful! Wishing you lots of love. I had to go to the EPU last weekend and they were so kind and helpful. I hope yours are the same.

AlackAlasAlackaday · 01/04/2021 16:48

pink I’m so sorry. Please do everything you can to take your mind off it this coming week and fingers crossed all well there x

@PinkElephant7 so sorry to hear that :( I hope you can keep busy this week. Xxx

Grinningcat · 01/04/2021 19:24

verablack congratulations. What a journey.

pinkelephant so sorry to hear that.

I had a massive bleed on Monday morning. I was out for a walk with my husband and my best friend and just felt it go. It was so sudden and shocking and I bled through my jeans. Anyway after an anxious few days with subsequent spotting, I had an early scan and thankfully saw a little heartbeat. I’m only 6 + 1 so I was very pleased. There was evidence I’d had a massive bleed and there was still blood in my uterus, but the foetus/embryo(?) is fine right now. I’ve got another scan in 2 weeks to check on things, but they said it was for our reassurance really. The bleed was really scary and I was glad I’d already told my line manager the week before just in case this kind of thing happened.

Randomness12 · 01/04/2021 19:42

So sorry @PinkElephant7 I hope it is just to early for you and the next scan will be more positive.

That must have been terrifying @Grinningcat, I am so pleased you saw the heartbeat.

The tiredness and nausea is all day here. 7+1 now. Work in the office was hard going today.

TS310893 · 01/04/2021 21:26

Hi Ladies!

Sickness has hit like something crazy morning & night, I bought some pressure point bands for my wrists off Amazon which have really helped they might not work for everyone but £5 well spent for me if anyone else is struggling like me. Smile

duenov042021 · 01/04/2021 21:42

Hi guys hope you don't mind me jumping on, congrats to everyone! I'm currently approx 9 weeks and due nov 4th from what my app says, not having a scan until April 29th though. Getting incredibly impatient as my morning (all day nausea) sickness seems to have calmed down and been replaced with major tiredness and headaches! Fingers crossed this is a good sign, first pregnancy so going in blind! Hope everyone is well xx

vixey · 01/04/2021 23:08

I'm struggling with everything, if I go shopping I'm knackered for the rest of the day, it is gonna have to get better than this coz im only 8+4 weeks, so otherwise it's gonna be a very long 9 months. xxxx

happygolucky20 · 02/04/2021 07:47

@vixey only from my experience of my DD, the tiredness and sickness just seemed to vanish on my 12th week. I think the tiredness comes from the placenta being formed and as soon as it is, the symptoms lift in an instant - well it did for me with my DD so fingers crossed.

ShutUpAlex · 02/04/2021 09:59

I’ve got my second scan today I’m so scared!

ahuss · 02/04/2021 10:48

@ShutUpAlex thinking of you 💕

PinkElephant7 · 02/04/2021 12:24

@ShutUpAlex hope it goes well xx

Randomness12 · 02/04/2021 12:25

Good luck @ShutUpAlex

vixey · 02/04/2021 13:20

@shutupAlex I have a private scan tomorrow too, im terrified too. my oh is so excited and can't wait to see our baby but I'm just bricking it xxx

DoveGreylove · 02/04/2021 13:39

Hope everyone's feeling ok! Just thought I'd check in, I have a second scan next week to make sure baby is growing ok as it was measuring "behind" at the first scan. With the revised date, i think it's actually bang on, as I ovulate late in my cycle and did with DD#1, but Dr wants to be sure. I'm nervous but trying to stay positive. Still have my all day nausea and very tired. Have been napping which is very unlike me!

ShutUpAlex · 02/04/2021 17:21

Saw our little bean head today with a lovely strong heart beat Smile

ahuss · 02/04/2021 17:22

@ShutUpAlex awwh that's great I was just thinking about you. That's wonderful news, congratulations 💕

PinkElephant7 · 02/04/2021 19:01

That's great news @ShutUpAlex

happygolucky20 · 02/04/2021 21:11

Awesome news @ShutUpAlex

AlackAlasAlackaday · 02/04/2021 21:22

alex phew, lovely news! That’s wonderful reassurance.

How are others getting on? I am so fed up of “morning” sickness and have a really limited diet at this point. I know it’ll pass at some point but just - bleurgh.
