@Cpr12 I sometimes think she does but she is so thick, i doubt it. She has been much more gentle. She is 34kg and a big dog (lab/golden retriever cross) so thank god she is calmer around me now! I know she will be great though, just excited

Cpr12 · 24/05/2021 19:47

@juicytoot287 awww cute she is calmer, she knows 😍 I have no idea how mine will react, the youngest will be put out if it takes up space in bed at night I know that much 😂😂😂

Cpr12 · 25/05/2021 17:29

So I am having a boy 🥳 I was sad when I first found out, but now over it and super excited! All went really well and the wee one is looking perfect, so happy!!

Jl2020 · 25/05/2021 17:46

@Cpr12 aww that's lovely news! So glad it all went well and congrats 💙

Cpr12 · 25/05/2021 18:04

@jl2020 thanks! Now on the hunt for decent boy names!

Rmka · 25/05/2021 18:20

@Cpr12, aw... congratulations! Glad your little boy is thriving. Smile

My baby is moving a lot and started kicking (or something like that) and my husband is able to feel it. It was really emotional for both of us when he felt a movement for the first time.

Jl2020 · 25/05/2021 18:45

@Cpr12 Atleast it's easier to narrow it down to boys or girls names once you know what you're having lol. But yeah it's so hard to think of names I think😂

@Rmka that must be so lush to feel movement 🥰 I can't wait for that!

mooloop · 25/05/2021 18:48

Congratulations @Cpr12! 💙

Missreginafalange · 25/05/2021 18:56

Congrats @Cpr12 boys are ace 😁

Cpr12 · 25/05/2021 18:57

@rmka awww that is so nice, I bet it was emotional 😍 lovely he can feel too!! I think I might have started feeling movement last night, not 100% sure, but maybe.

And thanks everyone! Super excited now 😍

jessicakxx · 25/05/2021 20:32

Hiya, I am so late to the post but I am due to 16th October! My 20 week scan is Friday, I'll be 19+6 then.

I don't know if I've felt any movement yet? It's my first baby so I don't really know what I'm feeling for? I'm trying not to concentrate too hard to feel anything cause il worry if I can't. I am looking forward to seeing them happy and healthy on Friday (preying)

I hope all your pregnancies are going well.

So far my Papp-a returned low at 12 weeks so will be have monthly growth scans and my DS risk was quite increased for my age, however still low risk. Have been none stop worrying about that since 12 weeks, I just want to enjoy it and not worry. Hopefully Friday will ease my worry ☺️

pixiedust21 · 25/05/2021 22:08

Hope everyone is doing well, can't believe we are at the 20 week scan stage!!

I am 18 weeks tomorrow, FINALLY over the nausea and sickness I think but still hating vegetables. 🤢

Not felt baby move yet but I know it can take a while with first baby, hopefully in next few weeks! :) Also I have an anterior placenta and a fair bit of tummy cushioning... lol... so not sure what I will feel or when!

I have my 16 week (well, 18 week 😜) midwife appointment tomorrow and our 20 week scan on 11th June. So excited to find out what we are having. @Cpr12 I feel you because we so far have really struggled with boy names so I feel like it will be a boy just for that reason. 🤪

I am having the vaccine next Wednesday, after weighing up the pros and cons I think the benefits would be more for me so I'm glad to have it. Tough decision for all of us though x

Rmka · 26/05/2021 03:21

@jessicakxx, that's the same due date as mine and it's also my first Smile I hope your scan goes well on Friday Smile
@pixiedust21, the time flies by so quickly now. Good luck at the appointment tomorrow, you'll hear the heartbeat which is great :). I'm planning to take the vaccine too, just waiting for an appointment available closer to where I live.
@Cpr12, that's great. I wasn't sure at first, but now no doubt. Unless there's something else living there Wink
@Jl2020, I'm sure it will happen to all of us soon Smile

Juicytoot287 · 26/05/2021 06:19

@Cpr12 Yes, I felt the same! But someone said, if you haven't felt something like it before it is probably baby. Now It happens for me most days in the same spot so I am becoming fairly sure it is her. Weird but I can't wait for a full on wollop to be definite!

@jessicakxx Welcome! Good luck for you scan, I am sure all will be fine and the extra scans will let you see baby more which is a bonus.

@pixiedust21 I am still hoping for my vaccine but want to speak to a doctor first! Not been offered yet due to age.. I am 18 weeks tomorrow! 2 weeks until my 20 week scan, been so long since I saw or heard her so I want it to go quickly now. nearly half way lol

jessicakxx · 26/05/2021 07:03

@Juicytoot287 @Rmka thank you both so much will let you know how it goes ❤️

jessicakxx · 26/05/2021 07:30

@Rmka when is your 20 week scan? Xx

Jl2020 · 26/05/2021 07:41

@jessicakxx good luck for your scan on Friday 💛

jessicakxx · 26/05/2021 08:16

@Jl2020 thank you so much xx

Rmka · 26/05/2021 08:45

@jessicakxx, it's on Saturday. I can't wait, focusing on work is hard Wink

Cpr12 · 26/05/2021 10:13

@jessicakxx welcome! So sorry it is such a worry for you, hopefully all is fine. And good luck on Friday, it is amazing how much more you can see!

Annoyingly I have my vaccine appointment through now for next Wednesday, but my consultant is on holiday so I meet his colleague next week so I am going to have to postpone the vaccine. I think I will wait until 30 weeks as I am on aspirin to thin my blood in case that caused my pprom last time so don’t want to risk it. Just so annoying it would be the exact week he is off!!

pixiedust21 · 26/05/2021 10:20

I had my midwife appt this morning, all bloods and urine tests totally fine and blood pressure normal (I am always convinced it's going to be really high for some reason lol).

She said I should have started feeling something by 20 weeks so I'll keep an eye out but it's a worry when you're not sure what to feel for! Hopefully like @jessicakxx everything will show ok at the scan - hope it puts your mind at ease when you have yours X

jessicakxx · 26/05/2021 10:24

@pixiedust21 glad it went well for you ❤️ my blood pressure always has to be redone because of chatting whilst it's being done 😂

The thing I think with the movements is I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking out for? My stomach is always doing weird things because I have ibs! I thought I felt something when I hit 18 weeks it felt like a gush of water or bubbles by my belly button and it was like nothing I've felt before but that could have been anything.

My partner has told me not to concentrate too hard because I'll worry, which I would because as you can probably tell I'm a total worrier 🙃🙃🙃

pixiedust21 · 26/05/2021 10:50

@jessicakxx yeah I think if you are overly worried and m looking for movements you will think anything/everything is the baby - but with it being first baby I'm also not sure what it's meant to feel like and the fact it differs for everyone a bit doesn't help 😂

Hopefully you will soon feel something that is unmistakeabley a kick!

On NHS website it says any time between 16-24 weeks can be normal for first movements especially if it's first baby, when it can be after 20 weeks.

It also depends where your placenta is, if it's at the front it'll be harder to feel as well.

There's always so much to think/worry about so I sympathise!!

jessicakxx · 26/05/2021 11:31

@pixiedust21 that's exactly my thoughts, eventually the baby is going to kick and be visible! So all will be fine. When are you due? ❤️

pixiedust21 · 26/05/2021 12:10

@jessicakxx due 27th October which still feels like a lifetime away but I think after the 20 week scan things will start feeling a bit more real!! X
