Haha @MyGrassIsBrowner! Sounds like it's your turn to make the racket!
So have you decided on it yet? Did you have a home birth first time round?

MyGrassIsBrowner · 14/04/2021 17:25

Exactly hhehe! 🤭
I spoke with the midwife today about a homebirth and she said there's absolutely no reason I can't have one unless I have complications which is obviously understandable. They've actually placed me under the homebirth midwife team in my area now so as long as I dont test positive for GD and end up with a huge baby before I'm due to pop, I can go ahead with a home birth.
I'm against induction and I want to avoid it at all costs if I can. This would be my first home birth my last birth was in an MLU which was nice but I was soooo unprepared with it being my first time, didn't push properly and just generally didn't listen to my body. X

Cpr12 · 14/04/2021 18:18

@mygrassisbrowner 🙈 defo your turn to make some noise haha!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 14/04/2021 18:53

@Cpr12 honestly it was mortifying, both me and DH laid in bed like well this is awkward at all 🙈🙉
I still can't look the pair of them in the eye when they say hello to us lmao!

Oh hard to guess @whitershadeofpale. Did baby move a lot? I'm going to say boy but have no idea! Just so you know, your name and hospital is in the picture in case you didn't realise.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 15/04/2021 18:11

@whitershadeofpale Your name is visible on the scan photos hun you may want to crop it out.
Looking at the shape of the skull I would say a girl!
Bet it was lovely seeing your little bean 🥰

whitershadeofpale · 15/04/2021 18:38

Thanks everyone I'll report and crop. The baby didn't move too much but was facing the wrong way at first and had to be prodded and jiggled to turn over!

whitershadeofpale · 15/04/2021 18:59

Reposted a crops version, all gender insights welcome!

Ahhh ladies that’s so exciting!! What beautiful scans. So nervous for mine tomorrow x

mooloop · 15/04/2021 20:57

Awww @jades132 that's amazing, so clear!

Congratulations @whitershadeofpale! I have no idea but I'm gonna guess a girl 🥰

Thought I'd post a pic too of little bean measuring 11+2 on Monday ❤️ cheeky little baby had their back to us for most of the scan and has his/her hand over their face in the pic attached 😂 any gender guesses welcome! 💙💗

whitershadeofpale · 15/04/2021 21:07

Haha @mooloop ours was doing the same and then I felt bad that it might have put it’s hand up over it’s face as it didn’t like being prodded about!

I’m going to guess a girl for yours too.

mooloop · 15/04/2021 21:12

Haha it's so crazy seeing them isn't it @whitershadeofpale! The sonographer had me rolling around on my side to get baby to move into a better position and I saw him/her kicking their little legs around (probably annoyed at being disturbed!)

whitershadeofpale · 15/04/2021 21:15

That’s better than me- mine told me to get up and do my best Beyoncé and shake it all about 😂

Cpr12 · 16/04/2021 09:11

@melody27 good luck today, let us know how you get on!!

@whitershadeofpale @jades132 @mooloop congrats on all your scans!

I am already excited for my 20 week scan but seems so long away, although my friend pointed out it is next month which sounds soon! Albeit the end of next month but let's forget that haha!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/04/2021 15:00

@Cpr12 mine is 24th May, seems like an age away doesn't it haha!!

@Melody27 good luck for your scan! X

Melody27 · 16/04/2021 15:33

Measuring a day later than we thought so I’m 12w5 days and our due date is the 25th Oct. the NT measurement has come back completely normal But she said that it looked healthy and heart was beating away 😊❤️

Cpr12 · 16/04/2021 16:42

@melody27 congrats! You feeling happier now you have seen the wee one?

@mygrassisbrowner I am the 25th! I hate wishing time away, but just wish it was october already!!!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/04/2021 17:12

@Cpr12 I'm just really dreading being heavily pregnant in the height of summer.... DREADING IT 🙈

mooloop · 16/04/2021 18:05

Awww congrats @Melody27!

I'm quite worried about that too @MyGrassIsBrowner Shock!

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/04/2021 18:21

@mooloop I'm buying a tower fan in the next couple of weeks, last year they had sold out everywhere and apparently we're in for a hot summer this year 🥵 we have a ceiling fan in our bedroom which is gonna be on permanently lol.

Juicytoot287 · 16/04/2021 21:18

@MyGrassIsBrowner We invested in aircon from Screwfiz for a couple of hundred. Last year was a life saver so being pregnant can only imagine i will be hugging the thing! Better and same price as those dyson fans now days!

Jl2020 · 17/04/2021 09:20

Morning everyone,

Congratulations to everyone that's had a scan regent, love seeing all the pics 🥰 counting down the days to my scan now, so glad my partner is able to come with me this time. I'm now 12+4 and feeling much more energetic this week and not so much nausea when brushing my teeth, opening the fridge etc 🤣

How is everyone doing? Xx

MyGrassIsBrowner · 17/04/2021 09:53

@Juicytoot287 omg an air conditioning unit.. that sounds like such a good idea!

@Jl2020 morning lovely, so glad you're feeling perkier now! I've got a nice boost in energy too and I think the nausea has finally passed. I'm sure in time it will for everyone else too!

Has anyone started buying baby things yet? Would anyone like any recommendations? I have a few items and tips that I absolutely swear by. I miss the excitement of buying baby stuff, my baby will be having everything my DD had, unless it's a boy of course 🤣 x
