I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@Soexciting aww that's a bit annoying if you're definitely wanting it. Hopefully your GP will be able to discuss it with you soon.

@Horehound congratulations 🥳 Exciting about your scan too! How far along will you be on that date do you think?

Horehound · 24/03/2021 17:08

@CCG92 thank you :) I think I'll be a day off 7 weeks. I'm so keen to get a scan for them to date me though cause I had two LH surges this month. I'm still breastfeeding and I was sure I'd have to wean my boy before getting pregnant lol I had written off this cycle after doing so many tests after the first LH surge. So I'm pretty sure I ovulated at the second one which was a month after my period..

Neom87 · 24/03/2021 17:12

Hello ladies, another one over here 👋😁 I got my BFP yesterday at 12 dpo! Excited but also quite nervous and hoping it's a sticky one! I came off the pill on 25th Jan after 18 years so I was a bit worried how long it could take us to conceive as I am also 34 very soon!! We ended up conceiving on our first cycle, I was symptom spotting and only really took the test to put me out my misery sooner as I felt like I was taking everything as a sign when it probably wasn't! I have told my sister but won't be telling anybody else just yet! Feels so wierd to have this huge piece of news but trying to work etc as normal!! My apps are putting my due date at 2nd Dec x

AngeloMysterioso · 24/03/2021 17:31

I can’t get any audio on my app Sad

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 17:35

@Horehound how exciting! Can't wait to hear all about it, and to see what they can see at that stage!! 🥰

@Neom87 congrats!! 🥳 Wishing you a sticky bean. We we're the same, first try which is mad. I have had gyne problems is the past, haven't had a period for like 7 years, and didn't think I was even ovulating. Got my coil removed and ta da! Feeling so so lucky and blessed, especially as my sister took 5 years and ended up having help to get pregnant.

Definitely agree about trying to get on as normal, it's impossible! All day, everyday, it's all I can think about. Just as well I'm working from home right now as I'm so distracted 🤣

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 17:37

@AngeloMysterioso

I can’t get any audio on my app Sad
Oh that's strange. When you go on to it and see what baby looks like, you should be able to click on that. You then have a wee info button, and ruler symbol. If you're seeing that, that's where the sound should be. I didn't realise at first, until I turned my volume up x
CCG92 · 24/03/2021 17:39

@AngeloMysterioso also make sure you've got sounds turned on in the setting of the app xx

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 17:40

@Neom87 Welcome, great to see so many of us over here already! You have the same due date as me! You must be thrilled that you haven't had to try too long before the bfp! What where your lines like? X

peach1234 · 24/03/2021 17:48

Please can I join, got my BFP today 9DPO was so ready for it to be negative as know it's still early so was so shocked! Due 7th Dec! Xx

Due December 2021 thread!
Arrierttyclock · 24/03/2021 18:06

@peach1234 congrats peach!! I don't know why but I still don't really believe it yet. We conceived very quickly o only came off the pill in jan so I don't know if it's because I wasn't expecting it but it just dosent feel real yet at all. Please say I'm not the only one 🤦🏽‍♀️

Neom87 · 24/03/2021 18:09

@ccg92 thankyou! I am wfh too, feel like I should be interested he office so I can't get away with half the stuff I'm doing! Can't get off my phone googling and things!! I feel blessed too, the first cycle most like it's too good to be true!

@marcella64 hello 👋 I know I do feel so lucky!! But nervous at the same time! I have only take one CB early test, I can't post pics here for some reason, but here is a link to it!

ibb.co/1TRY78X

I am going to take another early one tomorrow, and then will probably do the less sensitive ones and the digital at the weekend! How many have you taken? X

Hello @peach1234 👋 congratulations, I am a newbie too! Although I suppose we are all relatively new!! 😁🤰

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 18:14

@peach1234 congratulations lovely 🥳

@Arrierttyclock I found out 6 days ago and still doesn't feel real. It's like one big dream!

@Neom87 yeah I feel like I'm constantly on my phone reading and looking at things. Loving hearing everyone else's journeys on here too!

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 18:16

@Neom87 I've taken 2, one cheapie and one first response but it was the rapid 45 second one not 6 days early, I was shocked at getting a positive, app said I was only 11dpo. The shock is slowly settling. Oh is terrified to tell his mum, it's his first baby and he's a mummies boy 😂😂🙈 xx

Bizawit · 24/03/2021 18:33

Hello can I join? Just got my bfp and I am due late November/ beginning of dec 😊😊😍

lucea87 · 24/03/2021 18:46

Hello all the newbies! Congrats on your BFP's 🙌🏻🙌🏻

I did another cheapie earlier as I've been cramping all day and I got paranoid but it was the strongest yet so I feel better now. Going to try not to test until next week now.....!!!

Soexciting · 24/03/2021 18:58

I have just booked in for a harmony test package in Harley street I did it last time and it was amazing. Two crystal clear scans and the harmony test. Appointments are on a Saturday so DH can come. 10 weeks for first scam and blood test then 12 weeks for second scan nuchal test and harmony results.

Now just have to convince myself not to book a sneaky cheapie scan for 8 weeks at this place near work that does them for £39 on Groupon Blush.

I thought I would be better this time but still feel anxious and like I need to try to plan and book and control whilst staying half uninterested in case it all goes wrong.

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 19:03

@Soexciting I'd love to do a test at Harley street, last time I checked they where crazy money!? We will be doing a early scan, I think a lot of people do these days. 8 weeks wait is too much to find out if all is ok! Xx

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 19:05

@Bizawit congratulations! 🥳

@lucea87 aww that's good to hear lovely. I've still not done anymore tests since the day I found out, but looking forward to seeing some line progression this weekend 🤞🏼🥰

@Soexciting here comes the obviously first time pregnant question...what are the nuchal test and harmony test? x

lucea87 · 24/03/2021 19:09

@Soexciting I'm wondering the same! I've had a little google and they do this at the clinic I booked my 8 week scan at (wishing I had booked 6 weeks already 😂) x

Soexciting · 24/03/2021 19:09

@marcella64.
Last time pretty much everywhere was charging about £400 for the harmony test. So this place has a special offer if you go before 10 weeks. It's £400 for a viability scan, the harmony, a nuchal test/scan and if you have worrying results they will do a CVS test for free. The package is a massive deal it'd be over a grand otherwise. A scan is 100-250 there.
It's run by the guy who developed the nuchal test. He is one of the top guys in fetal medicine and so the CVS has great safety rates. Plus the money supports his NHS work...
Can you tell I am a fan? If you are old like me and near London I recommend it without reservation.

Pre covid you got lovely coffee too. Grin

Soexciting · 24/03/2021 19:15

@CCG92 the harmony test is a NIPT a non invasive prenatal test. So it's a blood test that isolates the babies DNA out of your blood. It can test with a high level of accuracy for downs, Edwards and pataus. Because it extracts fetal DNA it can also tell you the gender!

The nuchal is a test done by the NHS before 13 weeks for downs. It measures parts of the baby on a scan and in combination with your bloods and other parameters gives you your chance of having a baby with downs. It's less accurate than the harmony but no test is 100%

You can take the teacher out of the classroom...

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 19:17

@Soexciting ahh, thanks so much for explaining! There's so much that you don't even think about/know about with your first pregnancy I suppose 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

lucea87 · 24/03/2021 19:23

Hmmm I'm considering this now. The place I have my scan booked offers this for £400 and also includes a 4D scan and sexting scan or bloods 🧐🧐

Who is finding out what they are having?

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 19:23

@Soexciting I love this sort of thing! I went private for my 12 week scan with #2 and it was brilliant, to anyone here I defo recommend private scans ect, you won't regret them!
I'm in Suffolk, London not far, I'll have a chat with the other half. I used a clinic in Cambridge last time that where good but I always love a pro. We kinda want to determine there is only one baby too... xx
