I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

Good morning all. Just marking my place. I did a second frer this morning and have a clear line. I am.awake at 5 because I thought I could feel my period but it might have just been a poo Blush sorry for TMI.
This is my second pregnancy and I forgot just how terrifying every feeling is. I am still breastfeeding my 15 month old DD all night and so worried that my body will give up on the little bean.

Hope everyone is well, going to catch up on the thread properly later

queenatom · 24/03/2021 05:59

Morning @Soexciting - welcome and congratulations! Fingers crossed for an uneventful 9 months for you 🤞

Another awful nights sleep last night, I honestly think this might just be my life now. Out like a light at 10pm and then awake again by 1am for at least two hours (I stopped looking at the time at 3). Any tips for getting back to sleep gratefully received!

Poptart90 · 24/03/2021 07:18

@CCG92 thanks, it's seems to have eased off today thankfully! God knows why because I had an awful sleep last night!

@Soexciting congratulations!!

Is anyone else POAS every morning and driving themselves mad analysing the lines? 🙈 I had a positive CB digital first day I tested, but keep doing a new cheapynone every morning 🤦🏻‍♀️ the line is always there but still faint, I'm trying to tell myself it's just because I'm not actually due AF untill Friday.
(If you can't tell already, I have anxiety 🙈🙈🙈)

Tabbycat92 · 24/03/2021 07:39

TMI - wiped this morning and there was a small amount of brown CM so now , naturally I’m totally on edge and will be checking a million times a day 😩

Morning lovely ladies!

Huge congratulations to you all on your BFP! Grin Can I join you please?

I had my first BFP on Sunday just gone, half way through a beer Blush and just as my amazon pregnancy tests had arrived! Was quite a light line as I’d only just had a large glass of water, but was at 15dpo. Went and got a Frer the next morning and the line came up so quickly! My husband thought the other one was an indent from a cheap test..

We’re over the moon as have been loosely trying for a good few months but nothing too intense. I turn 30 in May and my little girl was 2 in Jan so think that will be a nice age gap. I had an early miscarriage before my DD and hadn’t told anyone so that was quite hard getting through that and then telling people after when we finally were pregnant, so totally get telling people now for ladies with previous losses for the support - it’s so hard and I like to say the knicker checking gets better but it didn’t for me and is still there for this pregnancy. You just feel a bit more apprehensive than you would have done before. Sorry for those ladies who have had losses and especially the recent ones Flowers

I also had an early scan booked for DD1 and felt so much better after seeing her heartbeat, I hope it also helps all of you with scans booked!

The ladies I met on mumsnet with DD1 have been such an amazing support, (we have a private facebook page) and beacon of knowledge, so I look forward to getting to know you ladies better too!
Sorry for the long essay! xx

PenneyForThem · 24/03/2021 07:49

@Tabbycat92 Hope you’re ok? Have you had anymore? Sending hugs my dear xx

lucea87 · 24/03/2021 07:49

@Poptart90 yes!! I've POAS everyday since Friday. My cheapies have been so crap and this morning (5am wee, again...!) 🙄 was the first time there was close to anything but a squinter. I've done 6 FRER now and I've got nice progression! This morning I did a CB Digi and now it feels more real ❤️❤️ we conceived 2 weeks today. I got my peak LH on 10th so I'm hoping to get a 3-4 next week as I think 4 weeks today or tomorrow! I'm not testing again now for another week (she says 😂)

Due December 2021 thread!
queenatom · 24/03/2021 07:51

@Tabbycat92 So sorry to hear that, that must be such a worry! I keep trying to remind myself that spotting and bleeding are very common in early pregnancies and don’t necessarily mean anything is wrong, but obviously it’s still a massive stressor. Hope it eases off.

Welcome, @PenneyForThem and congratulations! Sounds like you had a great community on here first time round, hope we’re able to replicate that!

lucea87 · 24/03/2021 07:54

@Tabbycat92 fingers crossed it's nothing. Sending hugs xx

Tabbycat92 · 24/03/2021 07:55

@PenneyForThem @queenatom thankfully there hasn't been anymore, and I've read it can be normal, it's just really knocked me. Luckily right before I had a stronger line than before, and a '1-2weeks' on a CB digital, so that helps a little

Also welcome @PenneyForThem and congratulations ☺️

Poptart90 · 24/03/2021 07:58

@Tabbycat92 oh bless you, it can be totally normal, but also completely understand your worry. Sending love

Poptart90 · 24/03/2021 08:03

@lucea87 aww how exciting! Seeing it on the digital one makes it feel more real doesn't it! I've bought a clear blue pack with a regular test and a digi one, planning to take the regular one on Friday and then the digital one next week to hopefully see the progression 😊

milki · 24/03/2021 08:14

Morning.... tentatively joining you all! Second +test this morning. I’m guessing I’m 12/13dpo so feels vvvvery early. I’m also 43 (nearly 44😱) so am feeling v cautious. I did the classic thinking I was staring peri, slacked off the contraception, and well... here I am! It is not unwanted though, I am just hyper aware that I’m q old! Couldn’t find an old birds preggo thread so biting the bullet and optimistically joining you guys.
Huge congrats to everyone xx

Arthien · 24/03/2021 08:35

Big welcome to all the new ladies and sending positive thoughts to @sarby21 and @tabbycat92 🤞🤞

I'm feeling a bit crampy again this morning and frustrated that my cheapo test showed a slightly fainter line than yesterday, but I'm trying to tell myself it's fine and it's still dark enough that I'd have been over the moon with it a couple of days ago!

queenatom · 24/03/2021 08:58

@Arthien, these tests can drive you mad, can't they? I took two early this morning (a supermarket one and a cheap strip test) - the supermarket one was lighter than the one I taken the day before but the strip one was way darker. As you say, think we just need to reassure ourselves that these tests are designed to confirm that HCG is present and nothing more, and that there are all sorts of variables that could result in the line looking different from day to day.

Tabbycat92 · 24/03/2021 09:01

Welcome @milki how are you feeling? How exciting! Do you have other children? And 43 certainly isn't old! Congratulations 😌

Hi All, I'm hoping I'm not jumping the bandwagon going on to a pregnancy thread. AF is not due another 2 days but I got this yesterday! Calculator saying I'd have a due date of 2nd December! This is baby #3 for me, 7 years since my last baby. Praying it sticks xxx

Due December 2021 thread!
marcella64 · 24/03/2021 09:17

@PenneyForThem Sounds like your in the same as me, we where loosely trying since January, I'm 31 next month. I'm clam at the mo, lots of pulling in my pelvis going on. How you feeling? X

Janxyb · 24/03/2021 09:20

Morning everyone Smile Grin

I'm going to very tentatively join you. Got a very faint bfp a couple of days ago but now it's an undeniable positive today. Due date calculator puts me on Dec 3rd. My first due date was Dec 4th Blush so if all goes well I'm expecting close birthdays!
I am so shocked/in denial as our first took 18 months and this was our first cycle trying for number 2 and I'm 35 in a couple of months. I'm feeling very anxious about something going wrong as it just seems to good to be true!

Congratulations to all, hoping for a happy & healthy 9 months for everyone! 💐🥰 xx

sarby21 · 24/03/2021 09:30

Thanks everyone!!! It’s so nice having this thread to support each other and talk through our anxieties. I had my first GP appointment today and took all my bloods! Now I have to wait 1-2 days for the results but I have everything crossed my HCG levels are good! With my miscarriage they were extremely low from the start so it’s a fear of mine.

I’ve stopped testing now as I am trying not to obsess. Hubby came with me to the GP appt and now he is excited too. Makes it feel more real. We also got a referral for an 8 week scan I can book in now. 8 weeks for me will be from 19 April! I can’t wait! :)

Feeling positive! This will be our first child. I’m 31 x

milki · 24/03/2021 09:31

@Tabbycat92

Welcome *@milki* how are you feeling? How exciting! Do you have other children? And 43 certainly isn't old! Congratulations 😌
Thanks @Tabbycat92! Flowers I’m feeling totally fine, nothing really to note. Maybe a bit bloated and a tad freaked out... Yep I have two DD age 13 & 14. New partner for this pregnancy, he doesn’t have any kids. Seems so long ago that I had them! I guess I’ll give it a week or so then phone the GP? I’ve no clue. I had a missed mc about 8 years ago and they said at the time they’d do early scans etc for any subsequent pregnancies, but that’s maybe too long ago now to be relevant? Have other people contacted Dr yet? Or when are you planning to?
queenatom · 24/03/2021 09:41

@milki I rang the GP immediately - I take levothyroxine for a slightly sluggish thyroid and the dose needs to be upped as soon as you know you're pregnant - but all he did was increase my prescription and then text me the number of the midwife service to self-refer to. No tests or anything done so pretty low fanfare!

April88 · 24/03/2021 09:54

Morning everyone,

Tentatively joining, tested this morning and got a BPF, not due on until Sunday though. I had a miscarriage before my first baby, so fingers crossed this one sticks!

I’ve got a 20 month old. He was 6 weeks premature and 3lb 10 due to pre eclampsia so I’ve got that worry as well.

Fingers crossed for a smooth 9 months for everyone!
