I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

Morning :)

I'm 9dpo today and just did a early CB digital test and got BFN.

Has anyone had that before and then got positive ?

I know it's super early.

Going to test again Wed / Thurs and then again Sat when AF is due.

May2311 · 29/03/2021 08:28

@queenatom that makes sense thanks! Think I'll wait a few more days then! Xxx

TheDamnFoolThatShotHim · 29/03/2021 08:37

Another FRER this morning and I think I feel able to join the thread.

Last period would make me 6+2 but I don't think I ovulated til day 28 of my cycle so think I'm more likely 4+3.

We've been trying a while and I had a MC last year so I'm feeling pretty nervous about things. Hope this one sticks!

Due December 2021 thread!
sarby21 · 29/03/2021 08:55

Congrats @TheDamnFoolThatShotHim !!! Those lines look great!!!! Is this your first baby? I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in January and am lucky enough to have fallen pregnant almost immediately after! I’m 5w1d today. This is my first bubba

Horehound · 29/03/2021 08:59

@ohhisammi I know you read about people testing early but o always say it's not over until AF arrives. So wishing you luck :)

Congrats to @TheDamnFoolThatShotHim and @Poptart90!!

I think I am 4+7 today so happy to be into fifth week tomorrow :) another week closer to the safe zone :)

Janxyb · 29/03/2021 09:00

I'm definitely in the windy club Blush
I've also got a couple of spots, angry painful ones, far worse than any pms spots. Feel like a teen & I don't remember that from my first pregnancy?!
Also didn't have cravings with my first but all I want right now is peanut butter 😂
When are people booking in with mw? First time round I wasn't seen until 9 weeks so feel like there is no rush yet? Are booking in apps over the phone now? Feels like so long ago I did this stuff last haha x

Horehound · 29/03/2021 09:20

I had to go to a website and fill in a form there and have to wait for a midwife to contact me.

I didn't think I got booked in until around 10 or 11 weeks the last time but maybe I am misremembering.
I'm windy but I always am haha. Poor hubby.

TheDamnFoolThatShotHim · 29/03/2021 09:28

Thank you Smile

@sarby21 We already have a 4 year old so are hoping for baby number 2.

@janxyb I don't think there's any rush. I've already spoken to the GP though as my BMI is higher than it should be so I need a higher dose of folic acid. I didn't know this last time and didn't get it until after my booking appointment at 10 weeks, so wanted to be proactive this time in the hope it reduces the chance of another MC.

GP has also put me on the system with the midwife so hopefully I'll get an appointment soonish. Will prob be slightly earlier than normal as they go by last period dates at this point which are 2 weeks ahead of what I think I actually am.

My booking appointment in October was in person but that may vary between trusts.

Tabbycat92 · 29/03/2021 09:29

Lovely strong test @Poptart90

@ohhisammi definitely, the digitals aren't anywhere near as sensitive as others. Wait a few days and try again 😊

Perfect tests @TheDamnFoolThatShotHim congratulations.

@Janxyb I rang the gp at 4 weeks as thought I might as well do it. But yeah, definitely no rush!

LBXXX · 29/03/2021 09:44

I’ve also rang the GP and I have a appointment tomorrow

At this point il only be 4W3D however I also had a missed miscarriage last time

Gspps · 29/03/2021 10:01

So I had to fill in an online form at the hospital to be booked into the local maternity services, haven't even spoken to my doctors!

Maternity booking said they will reply within 10 days! Is that all I need to do?xx

queenatom · 29/03/2021 10:34

That’s all I had to do @Gspps. Still haven’t heard back yet though, did the form over a week ago...

Gspps · 29/03/2021 10:36

@queenatom oh god, not promising! My automated email back does say it can take up to 10 days though 🙄 where are you based ?

PinkPurpleParade · 29/03/2021 10:48

Hello!! I just got my BFP yesterday, AF would be due today. I'm 3+5 so very early.

Incredibly excited. I have a 3.5 year old DD from previous relationship who will be so excited to be getting a little brother or sister. It feels like forever ago I had her so I feel like I'm learning everything from scratch!

jdr1234 · 29/03/2021 10:58

Hi girls
Am joining you all- I think I’m around 4 + 5 and due around 2nd December. This is baby #3 and a big surprise but we are very excited. Have a DS aged 6 and DD aged 3 1/2.
Was never anxious about miscarriage with my first two but even though this pregnancy is the only unplanned one it’s all I can think about ( I had a miscarriage around a year or so ago at 6 weeks)
I will have an early scan at 7 weeks if all is ok up till then.
Sending lots of love to everyone and fingers crossed they are all sticky little beans 🤞

Tabbycat92 · 29/03/2021 11:19

@queenatom that sounds right to me. I only spoke to go receptionist and that was a week ago. Not expecting to hear anything for at least a week tbh. They hand you over to the midwives and they will call you when ready to book something

@PinkPurpleParade hello and welcome 😊 my son is almost 3 and I agree with you, it all feels so new in such a short time!

Welcome @jdr1234 what a lovely surprise. I'm with you on the MC fear. He a perfectly easy pregnancy last time, but after a friend has recently suffered 2 mcs it's all that's on my mind

Hi @Gspps, I'm in Bristol. Not worrying too much about it yet, as it'll still be a while till I'm due to be seen anyway. Giving it till the 10 days are up and then I'll ring and chase.

It's a beautiful day here and I'm due to head out for a swim - was going to run over but I've just had my first bout of morning sickness and I'm not sure my stomach cab handle it...

Gspps · 29/03/2021 11:35

@queenatom okay I won't get my hopes up or worry too much if I don't hear anything for a while then 😅

It's absolutely lovely here too, I love it! It's going to be for the next few days apparently. But unfortunately I'm at work 😓

A swim sounds lovely, it could help with the sickness...hmm maybe not actually haha!

I've not had any sickness yet, I am only 3+5 days but considered 4 weeks apparently so super early!

lucea87 · 29/03/2021 12:07

Hey all! So many messages! I can't keep up!!

I'm super hormonal. I just chased doctors up, I keep having to remind them I'm pregnant and could they please just register me so that I could get referred to the midwife. Semi my own fault, but with my old doctors only being 15 minutes away I didn't anticipate that this would be an issue 🤦🏼‍♀️ they've said someone will call me back today so hopefully I can get the ball rolling. Conscious that the first appointment is supposed to be at 8 weeks (is that right) and I'm 4 weeks 5 days....from what some of you are saying I'm gonna run out of time 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

My stress levels are through the roof today, I need to calm down....!

TheDamnFoolThatShotHim · 29/03/2021 12:19

@lucea87 try not to stress, I'm sure you have plenty of time Smile

With my first pregnancy I rang my GP when I first found out I was pregnant and they just told me to ring back in a couple more weeks and they would book me in with the midwife then! They weren't interested at all at that point.

The booking appointment I had in October was at almost 10 weeks I think. It's not always as soon as 8 weeks.

This first but feels like a lifetime though doesn't it?

lucea87 · 29/03/2021 12:24

@TheDamnFoolThatShotHim I'm definitely flapping for no reason but lack of sleep + poorly doggo + work stress + hormones = 😭😭

Pennyh123 · 29/03/2021 12:32

@ohhisammi I didn’t get a positive test on a FRER until 13dpo, so there’s still plenty of hope for you Smile

Halpmer · 29/03/2021 12:53

If I've self-referred to the hospital do I need to involve the GP? They're not exactly the best practice I've ever been to and frankly it might be better to leave them out of it for now 😅

Tabbycat92 · 29/03/2021 12:56

Ooooo @queenatom I'm desperate for a swim. We went so much when pregnant with my son. Defo getting back in the pool as soon as I can book!

I'm so bloated today I actually look like I have a bump already! (Excuse my wfh attire 😅)

Afternoon ladies 😊 Had my blood test back today which confirmed a BFP!!! But the Dr. wanted to see me as I mentioned that I was cramping (it can be a sign of ectopic pregnancy). I was so scared!!

Within 30 mins of having my results confirmed via phone call, I was in the Dr's office where she checked my tummy for any pain or hard lumps. I'm absolutely fine & 100% pregnant! 🤩

She said if cramping gets worse & isn't related to being gassy, to phone them straight away. I feel so looked after, and in good hands already & am super impressed by the speed in which the Dr worked! 🥰 She's booked me in with the midwife! All systems gooo- WOOHOOO!!
