I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

How's everyone feeling? I'm defo getting more pulling and cramping in this 3rd pregnancy, apparently it's more common in later pregnancy than first timers. Otherwise I feel quite good 🙏🏼 x

queenatom · 25/03/2021 15:18

@Poptart90 @Tabbycat92 My 1-2 weeks also vanished at around 24 hours. Think it's totally normal!

@Arthien How exciting about your scan, that should be a lovely anniversary experience! Can't believe you've got your date already!

CCG92 · 25/03/2021 15:20

@marcella64 how old are your other two? 🥰 I get really bloated/twingey in the evenings. Boobs aren't as bad today actually which is nice! Still light headed a lot though 🥴

Arthien · 25/03/2021 15:31

Thanks @queenatom, although it feels like a lifetime away, the past week has gone so slowly 🙈

@marcella64 definitely more bloated and twingey in the evening here too. I fell asleep curled up on the sofa for an hour then woke up feeling so swollen I felt sicky. Hoping the proper nausea stays away for a while longer though!

If anyone is interested, I spoke to the pharmacist about taking probiotics and he said to stop. I'm not 100% convinced though to be honest as it felt a bit like a standard "don't take anything when pregnant" answer. Also, reading online suggests they could help baby's immune system and there are even specific pregnancy ones. I'm going to see if I can speak to a midwife or my GP to double check and then maybe get some of those. I've not seen anything saying no probiotic yoghurt either, so it's a bit of an odd one!

queenatom · 25/03/2021 15:36

Tell me about it @Arthien! Every day feels like a week at the moment...

Thanks also on the probiotics, that's really interesting. I'll definitely check on my side too as not keen to stop unless I have to!

Wiltshire90 · 25/03/2021 16:00

@marcella64 mega bloat over here! And some twinges. I've got loads of energy otherwise Grin I'm on night shifts over the weekend we'll see how long that lasts!!

marcella64 · 25/03/2021 17:12

@Wiltshire90 I'm the same, bloat but otherwise energy and feeling good.

@CCG92 I have a 9 nearly 10 year old daughter and 6 year old son... my son is my baby so he's going to have a shock when he knows I'm pregnant. I can't wait to tell them xx

lucea87 · 25/03/2021 17:14

@Tabbycat92 my result disappeared after 24 hours too! It's a shame really! They should keep it permanently!!😂😂

@Arthien what a special day! I'm still waiting on my GP changing over so that I can get in with the midwife.

I've changed my early scan to a 6 week one for when I'll be 6+2 🤦🏼‍♀️ been speaking to my partner about the NIPT scan as well and I think we will probably go for that, the Ultrasound Direct package looks quite good. We are a little older (34&36) so think we would like the reassurance!

milki · 25/03/2021 17:45

@lucea87 me and DP are 10 years older thank you and your partner! I will 100% be getting all the tests.

Crikey, I’m still wondering wtf we’re doing although I’m probably fitter/healthier than I was when I had my first at 28! I’ll get on to the Dr next week and find out all the stuff that I need to be thinking about. Had a late missed m/c a while ago too and no chromosomal issues with the fetus so it was unexplained, I’m a bit worried that there is something that I’m not aware of that will be problematic bcs I’m older... but also think it’s just my brain whirring, cos it still v early days 🤯
I thought I had no symptoms but have developed a superhero level sense of smell, which I’m guessing is pg related!
Really lovely to read all your posts, and get swept up in the excitement, it’s keeping me sane ❤️

marcella64 · 25/03/2021 18:02

@milki I can second the sense of smell!!! It's so strange how it just happens. I hope I'm going to enjoy this pregnancy, my relationship in my 1st 2 wasn't great so it was stressful most of the time. X

frols · 25/03/2021 18:19
@frols I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. It was one of the hardest experiences of my life, but in a way I was grateful it was still early on (6 weeks) so I think once I have made it past 6 weeks in this pregnancy I’ll calm down a bit! I don’t have a lot of symptoms yet so I feel scared the pregnancy will fail again but my HCG levels at 4 weeks this pregnancy are more than double what they were at 5 weeks just before I had the MC. So I’m hopeful! Going for more bloods on Saturday to see if they double! Eep!
@sarby21 I feel the same, glad in hindsight it was early. Who did you contact to get the bloods done so early?

frols · 25/03/2021 18:24

I obviously couldn't wait till Saturday to test again, but i feel really happy I did because look!!!!!

PlantMummy87 · 25/03/2021 18:30

Hi ladies, just wondering how everyone is dealing with the intense worry of being in early pregnancy? I'm finding it absolutely crazy at the moment and know I won't be alone. I'm completely questioning everything I do. Today we had vegan bacon in a sandwich for lunch (all cooked but not something I would usually eat at all) but that lead to worry and googling for ages about whether I've done something wrong as I know usually deli meat is off the cards, but this was vegan and fully cooked... Then I burnt my finger on a candle and a tiny bit of the candle plastic label stuck to the burn which I didn't realise until after I put the finger in my mouth as an instant reaction to cool down and now I'm convinced I've done something to harm the baby due to the plastic exposure 🤦‍♀️

I've booked an early scan at 8+2 week, but this isn't until 4 weeks away right now. Everyday seems to be going so slowly! I'm not sure I want to book one any earlier as a personal preference as am scared that if the baby's heartbeat isn't heard or it is faint I will worry even more.

The only thing that is reassuring me currently are my symptoms do seem to be increasing and I've been poas everyday since I found out (every other day with FRERs and then the opposite every other day with CB early detections) and it has been reassuring to see the lines darkened. But I know I'll have to stop poas sooner or later, especially as when the hook effect comes in.

I'm usually quite a relaxed person so this all feels really different 🤔

babyguacamole · 25/03/2021 18:37

Hi everyone, I'm tentatively joining you all here Smile

I know I will be due some time in December but not sure on a date yet. I have weird cycles.

My last period started on the 6th Feb! I was expecting AF 5 days ago (I have long 40+ day cycles) but have been getting really really faint lines. I've done 6 tests since yesterday morning to make sure I wasn't seeing evaps or imagining the lines 🙈 so I'm assuming I've ovulated late!

This will be baby number 4 for us! We were NTNP, but definitely not expecting anything to happen so soon lol.

My youngest is 5 so it all feels pretty new to me again. Current symptoms are lower back pain, mild cramps, and a bit more tired than usual. I'm going to test again on Saturday to see if I get any progression on lines 🤗

CCG92 · 25/03/2021 18:50

@Arthien I feel the same about time. Everyday feels sooo long!

@Wiltshire90 ohh me, do you have to do night shifts a lot? I did 9 years of them, so I certainly sympathise with you!

@marcella64 aww bless him, I'm sure he will love being a big brother when baby arrives! 🥰

@lucea87 exciting about your scan! What date is it on?

@milki fingers crossed for you that everything goes swimmingly ☺️ Being on here with everyone else really does help.

@frols woohooo on getting your digi! Does it feel a bit more real now?

@PlantMummy87 aww bless you. It really is a worrying time. I thought I was going to be a lot worse than I am, but I'm just trying to take a day at a time...and remember that people used to have babies while living in caves (that helps me 🤣). I'm the same about the scan though, I've left mine a bit later as I'm too worried that I'll go and then be told I need to come back as they can't see anything yet. Saying that, when I see other people on here getting there scans at 6 weeks, I'll probably be super jealous and wishing I'd done the same 🤣 Thinking about you lovely, hopefully your anxiety will calm down a little soon for you x

@babyguacamole congratulations! 🥳

queenatom · 25/03/2021 19:01

Hi @PlantMummy87, I’m definitely here with you! I’m a worrier anyway but this is another level. The thing I keep trying to remind myself is that there really isn’t much I can do at this stage that will make much of a difference either way. I’m also booking an 8 week scan as opposed to a 6 week - I know that the stress of seeing a 6 week scan that is ambiguous will be miles worse for me than waiting those extra two weeks.

marcella64 · 25/03/2021 19:17

I have had scans at 6, 8 and 9 weeks. 6 weeks you get a sac, yolk and heartbeat. 8 weeks is a blob with a beat and 9 is a mini baby shaped ghost with a heartbeat. As long as you are 6+2 at least you should see a heartbeat. I think 8 weeks is good to go but if you need reassurance ASAP 6 weeks should give you a beat. Hope this helps xxx

CCG92 · 25/03/2021 19:22

@CCG92

I have the strangest feeling tonight. Been happening for about an hour. Like a really strong and obvious pulse in my stomach. Obviously knew it was nothing to do with baby, but thought it may be one of these random hormonal things or whatever. Googled it and it seems common, it's the blood pumping. Feels so strange, like a heartbeat (obviously I know it's not though) 🤣
Has anyone else had this? I've got it again tonight! 🙈

Pennyh123 · 25/03/2021 19:26

Hi, hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m 13 dpo and got a positive on a cheapy strip this morning. Had some FRER’s delivered today and got a lovely dark positive line on there this evening 😊 I think my due date will be 1st December based on the due date calculators. No symptoms as of yet other than fatigue, although I’ve been putting that down to my 4 year old being awake at ridiculous o clock in the morning this week with a cold

Wiltshire90 · 25/03/2021 19:40

@PlantMummy87 I am too ignorant about what's bad for you in pregnancy to worry so much! Didn't have a clue about the deli meats thing Smile Just think of it this way - so many women have given birth to healthy babies over the centuries without a clue about any of this stuff! Some mothers use drugs and drink heavily and don't attend their midwife appointments - you're doing great!

@Pennyh123 congrats, we will have the same due date!

@CCG92 I do nights every two weeks, I'll be taken off front-line duties when I tell work so not for much longer. I actually quite like night shifts though! I've not had the pulsing thing yet Smile

Bizawit · 25/03/2021 19:43

Thank you @CCG92 and @Tabbycat92 😍. So excited to be off the conception boards and onto pregnancy ones.

CCG92 · 25/03/2021 19:44

@Wiltshire90 aww not too bad if you enjoy them. Guessing you're a nurse or something similar?

The pulsing thing is so weird! You can actually see my belly moving with the pulse if you look closely 🤣

Bizawit · 25/03/2021 19:45

Is anyone else feeling completely exhausted already? I don’t remember feeling as tired as this so early last time. Then again the first time round I wasn’t also looking after/ breastfeeding a toddler 🤔.

CCG92 · 25/03/2021 19:55

@Pennyh123 congratulations! 🥳🥳

@Bizawit the tiredness thankfully hasn't hit me yet, but I've heard it hits like a brick when it does hit 🥴 Must be hard for you with the little one too x

Wiltshire90 · 25/03/2021 20:04

@CCG92 I'm a police officer which isn't the most pregnancy compatible job!! So will probably have to "announce" it earlier than I'd like. Will hold off as long as possible.

@Bizawit I'm the opposite - full of beans. Enjoying it while it lasts Grin
