I'm probably one of the first to find out, as there are no other chats! Based off of last period I'm due December 2nd! Got my first positive early at 9dpo.
Anyone else with me yet???

@ccg92 I am convinced I am having a girl too!! I have since before I was even pregnant, I know that's wierd! Suppose I have a 50/50 chance of being right though!! 🤣

If you have a scan before 10 weeks is it an internal scan, will it be like a smear - but without the scraping? 🥴

I know @tabbycat92 - just got a bonus 2 weeks out the way!! Haha!
So glad we can all share this journey together and that we have got a mix of us first timers and those who have been here before to lead the way! 😁

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 21:36

@Arrierttyclock I'm going to do it. The midwife weighed my placenta with DS as she said it was huge, wish I had taken it home with me. I've seen it put in to smoothies too, apparently it helps with hormones and milk coming through.

I done a thing called delayed clamping too, where you wait for the cord to stop pumping blood through before you clamp it, most hospitals do it but some midwives are still quick to clamp the cord. I'm going to send DH crazy with all placentas and hypnobirthing chat 😂😂

marcella64 · 24/03/2021 21:39

@Neom87 the internal scan is fine, it's a long probe with gel and a rubber cover on. It's a bit uncomfortable but nowhere in the rhelms of a smear. The scream with your baby on it is a good distraction. X

Tabbycat92 · 24/03/2021 21:42

@Arrierttyclock I always do well with sw, I managed to shift 3st a little while back

@marcella64 we did delayed clamping too, defo doing it again

@Neom87 here come the girls 👶🏼

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 21:58

@Arrierttyclock @Tabbycat92 I lost nearly 5 stone recently. Bloody terrified of putting weight back on. Especially as I'll still be classed as a high BMI pregnancy 😭

Wiltshire90 · 24/03/2021 22:43

@marcella64 I'm so bloated too!! I went for a run yesterday and I had a stitch after the first few metres! My sports bra was so tight too!

Feel really twingy down there today but it's on both sides so I'm hoping it's normal and not a sign of anything bad. HR is down a bit too. Everything is making me worry!

Booked my scan with Window to the Womb on 14th April, I will be 7 weeks. Wondering if I should move it to a week later now.

sarby21 · 24/03/2021 23:06

@marcella64 Good on you for still running! I have my first exercise class tonight since finding out and they are normally pretty intense so I was going to fib and say I have low iron so my doctor said I need to take it easy so I can just go at my own pace. I don't want to get my HR up too high!

Re: the scan, my doctor suggested waiting until 8 weeks to avoid disappointment and ensure that we would hear a heartbeat so that is what I am doing (week of 19 april for me).

CCG92 · 24/03/2021 23:29

I have the strangest feeling tonight. Been happening for about an hour. Like a really strong and obvious pulse in my stomach. Obviously knew it was nothing to do with baby, but thought it may be one of these random hormonal things or whatever. Googled it and it seems common, it's the blood pumping. Feels so strange, like a heartbeat (obviously I know it's not though) 🤣

Hi ladies, I got my beta HCG levels back from being 16DPO yesterday and they were 123. The doctor said this is very positive and within the normal range. Due to my miscarrage in January at 6 weeks, she has recommended I come back in on Saturday to repeat the beta HCG blood test and ensure the levels are rising as they should be! She said they wouldn't normally do this but it is more for my own peace of mind.
I am feeling positive but still so nervous. For your reference, last time I had to do blood tests at 4, 5, and 6 weeks as my HCG was so low to start with: 21, 60, and 15 respectively (indicating my miscarriage at the beginning of week 6).

Has anyone else gotten their beta HCG levels back around 4 weeks? How did you go? I am trying to remain positive and hopeful that this pregancy sticks!!! My doctor said that it isn't necessarily that higher HCG numbers are better, but just that the number doubles every 2-3 days to indicate a healthy pregnancy.

Everything crossed for you @sarby21 xxx

I'm convinced ours is a boy. I had a TTC tarot reading and so far it has been accurate and said it would be a boy so in my head it will be a boy!

Just up for my 5am wee 🙄 and of course my morning sickness starts the second I wake up 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ not sure if it's the morning sickness or the wee that wakes me up 🤷🏼‍♀️

frols · 25/03/2021 06:12

Hey everyone, ttc baby number one. Caught first month trying in January but sadly miscarried in Feb. Felt ready to try again straight away havent had a period yet after the miscarriage. I'm currently 15dpo and had faint positive on Tuesday. Have decided to wait till Saturday to test again so I dont get my hopes up too much. Hopefully I'll be joining you all in December Smile

frols · 25/03/2021 06:18

@sarby21 hey, seems like we've had a similar journey so far. I also miscarried at 6 weeks but in February. I hope you're okay and that we have sticky beans this time

Arrierttyclock · 25/03/2021 06:25

I've been taken a test every day since Tuesday- today I'm 12DPO- I was expecting a darker line tbh! Do you think it's anything to worry about?

Due December 2021 thread!
Soexciting · 25/03/2021 06:43

@Arrierttyclock. I think your lines are darker than mine were at 11 dpo and 13dpo. I think that worrying lines are always squinters they aren't lovely and pink like yours.
The hormone only doubles every 48 hours so you will get the best difference if you test every other day.
In my first pregnancy I did a strip everyday and stuck it in a little book Blush. It made me feel better but in reality we aren't in control of all of this. Fingers crossed for a healthy and happy 9 months for us all.

queenatom · 25/03/2021 06:47

Morning ladies! Finally managed to get a semi-decent night’s sleep last night (I mean, woke up at 12 and then at 3.30, but was able to get back to sleep within 30 mins each time so that’s something!)

Had a bit of a freak out yesterday because I tested during the day and my lines were lighter than I’ve been seeing, but I’ve tested again this morning and my FRER is definitely showing progress (test line now darker than control) so I think I just need to step away from the tests and try and have faith that my body is doing what it should. At what point is everyone stopping the tests?

Tabbycat92 · 25/03/2021 06:55

Hi @frols congratulations on your line , fingers crossed it darkens! I'm sorry to hear of your MC. Hoping you get your sticky bean this time

@Arrierttyclock I've been the same, recently changed to every other day. I've been doubting how dark the line is. Yours looks about the same as mine at 12dpo. I've also googled line progressions and they seem pretty normal 😊 don't worry. So long as it's getting darker and not staying the same or getting lighter then it's all good

@queenatom it's so hard to stop testing isn't it. I have only a couple tests left, and when they run out I'm not allowing myself to buy anymore

Arrierttyclock · 25/03/2021 06:58

@Soexciting addictive isn't it! Okay thank you I'll try to stop worrying 😂

@Tabbycat92 hmm I know but it's the same as yesterday's but I won't test tomorrow and I'll do a digital Saturday and hopefully it says pregnant then I'll stop testing.... well I'll try.

I'm due on tomorrow so once I get to Saturday I think I'll relax a little bit more

marcella64 · 25/03/2021 07:07

@sarby21 defo take it easy at any classes! I've always done resistance training, I'm hoping if I can stay strong and do some yoga it will help with sciatica and any aches/pains.

@Arrierttyclock those are good lines for 12 dpo, I'm sure the digital will settle you ☺️ x

Tabbycat92 · 25/03/2021 07:26

@marcella64 I'm definitely gonna be doing some yoga. I did pregnancy yoga classes last time and they really helped. I'm really hoping they open up again, as it's so much better face-to-face

Is anyone else still breastfeeding whilst pregnant?
It's feeling sore already :(

@Horehound oooo no I'm not, but I can imagine 😬

Wiltshire90 · 25/03/2021 08:25

@lucea87 I've been waking up night for a wee too 😁 so annoying!

@Arrierttyclock I tried to only POAS every two days which made the difference obvious. Also because of how expensive they are (was doing FRER)!!

RHR has fallen the past two days (15 DPO and 16 DPO) which is a worry but temps are still up and no other issues. I wish I didn't have access to so much information!

Neom87 · 25/03/2021 08:34

@arrierttyclock I wouldn't worry too much there is still a definite line and rhe hcg doubles every 2 days so you may not see much of a difference in a day, I I see that you took one last night and this morning so not much time in between then for them to be dramatically different.

@queenatom I just took my second test, now 14dpo and it is much darker than the one I did 2 days ago 😁 will leave it another couple of days and may do a less sensitive one, I also did a cheapy stock this morning and there was a faint line. Still hoarding my digital just yet!! 🙈 I am only using what I have, not buying anymore!

Here is my test - I can't post pictures to MN for some reason!
