So lovely @SP2Bx, great scan pic! Xx

Geegee20 · 18/03/2021 18:36

@AdventuresAwait ohhh that's so good. I have my scan tuesday! I will be looking for them for after my scan haha

AdventuresAwait · 18/03/2021 19:28

@Geegee20, great! It's good fun and will be interesting to see if they're right 😊

Hi ladies, can we talk boobs for a minute? Mine are heavy and have grown and my nipples itch but im used to that, whats worrying me is I've noticed on one of them sort of a bit to the left and down from the nipple theres like a red bump, it doesnt hurt and just feels a bit firmer, could this be from how its been sitting in my sports bra? Or do you think i should get it checked out? Any advice much appreciated! Still not sure whats normal and whats not!

Mamabearwhere · 18/03/2021 21:46

@Scotti84 all kinds of weird and wonderful symptoms pop up during pregnancy but for your own peace of mind always best to get things checked out.

@Scotti84 I would def seek reassurance from your midwife or gp if it's a lump. Whilst mine feel very heavy and bigger i do also get shape shooting pains which only last seconds. I've assumed this is the growing and preparing but I will still ask at next midwife appt.

SP2Bx · 19/03/2021 07:33

@Scotti84 It's definitely worth mentioning to the midwife, it's probably nothing to worry about. Depending on the size, I've read bumps can happens.

@Bubbles1st I've had the sharp pains too! Only once so far mind thankfully. In general my boobs haven't been that sore/sensitive. I wondered if it's cause they're a decent size already 😂

Mamabearwhere · 19/03/2021 09:30

If anyone is looking for under the bump maternity leggings I would highly recommend this one from Amazon. Mine just arrived and it feels so soft and comfortable and waist band is nice and low but still supportive. SO impressed.

@Mamabearwhere @SP2Bx @Bubbles1st
Thanks guys, its not painful just freaked me out a bit. Im always worse for worrying at night, much more reasonable in the mornings for some reason!

Ive got my next scan on tues so might ask then if the doc can have a quick check.

bluemagicalsky · 19/03/2021 10:38

Thanks @Mamabearwhere Did you order your normal size as before pregnancy? I'm new to the maternity wear market!

Mamabearwhere · 19/03/2021 10:42

Yes I did and I always have done with maternity clothes. I find if you size up the proportions get all funny and not fit well. Just get your usual pre pregnancy size x

Eurgh ladies I feel awful today. Just exhausted. Sat down to work and just can't get my head in the game. Really have to concentrate on what I'm doing but can't. I want to phone in sick but I feel bad as there's nothing wrong aside from being worn out and a slight headache. What would you do?

bluemagicalsky · 19/03/2021 12:06

Thanks @Mamabearwhere very helpful
@Kirky658 I'd take the day as sick. It's so hard to force yourself through, and you won't be doing yourself or work any favours by doing so. Everyone needs a day. Think of the relief you'd feel if you put that call in ☺️ Sometimes, you have to put yourself as priority, especially in these crazy times

Kirky658 · 19/03/2021 12:16

@bluemagicalsky thanks lovely. I think I'm just having a down day. Going to tough it out till lunchtime then perhaps call it a day. Xx

AdventuresAwait · 19/03/2021 12:16

I agree! @Kirky658, take the day to rest and look after yourself 💐

Scotti84 · 19/03/2021 12:41

@Kirky658 hate days like that, when you don't feel so bad that you're sick but you're also just not feeling good. I'd take some time out, relax a bit if you can and recoup. Hope you feel better soon x

Squibble84 · 19/03/2021 12:47

@Kirky658 don’t feel bad! You’re growing a baby which is a big deal! You’ve got to look after yourself, and taking some down time to rest is important if you’re feeling the strain!

Squibble84 · 19/03/2021 12:49

I had my 16 week appointment today but didn’t get to hear the baby’s heartbeat as they’ve changed their procedures due to covid 😢 will have to wait until the 20 week scan now.

For those ladies taking aspirin, what dosage are you on? I was taking 75mg but the midwife told me to take 150g today.

Bubbles1st · 19/03/2021 13:02

@Squibble84 oh how disappointing, what part of Covid prevents them checking the baby is ok? Or did she check but you just didn't hear it?

I was told 150mg for the aspirin 2 x 75mg as that's what was available.

Squibble84 · 19/03/2021 13:06

She said that if she didn’t hear it, they no longer have a referral program in place so I’d still have to wait until the 20 week scan to confirm everything was ok! 🤷‍♀️

Ah ok thanks, I’ll just take two tablets a day then! X

AdventuresAwait · 19/03/2021 13:28

Oh that's a shame @Squibble84. Is it just not part of the appointment at the moment?
I was also told to take 2 x 75mg per day of aspirin.

Kirky658 · 19/03/2021 14:14

So I decided to take the rest of the day off sick. I just can't carry on today I am just exhausted and my head is pounding. Feel like I'll be right as rain after some food and a nap.

@squibble84 sorry you didn't get to hear the heartbeat, that sucks!

bewitchingnight · 19/03/2021 14:39

@Squibble84 same as the others for me, 150mg aspirin. That's a shame about the heartbeat!

@Kirky658 hope you feel better after a chilled out afternoon

@Bubbles1st @SP2Bx and anyone else thinking about hypnobirthing...

Just saw that someone posted this link on the pregnancy board, the Positive Birth company are selling their online hypnobirthing course for £12 instead of £39 today (it's their birthday, hence the offer).

I've just signed up as you can access the content for a year and I wished I'd started my hypnobirthing course a bit earlier when I had my first baby (just to get some more relaxation practice in)!

Bubbles1st · 19/03/2021 17:42

@Poppins2016 thanks very much I'll take a look. There is no detail of the offer on that link does it do it automatically when you do to buy? :)
