I am not quite ready to join the October group yet . I found out I was pregnant at 10dpo and confirmed with a frer 11dpo and 12dpo. No symptoms so far bar feeling really tired. Anyone else want to join me ? This is my first pregnancy so hoping all goes smoothly ❤

@NW2021 I'm so jealous, I'm desperate to tell my mum and sister. They've been there for me with my previous losses so I'm trying hard to keep it in until I can tell them everything is ok. It's been easier because of lockdown, once I see them it will be a lot harder to keep it in 😂 x

1992EM · 21/02/2021 14:13

@NW2021 that is lovely and important to have someone close. I am thinking I might tell my mum on mothers day if all goes well but I don't no wither to wait until first booking in appointment or scan. I see them every weekend to go for a walk so will find it hard but might use the excuse of being back at work to avoid it for a couple of weeks until I am ready to tell x

@1992EM I was considering telling my mum on Mother's Day too, maybe incorporate it into a present. It will be after my 6 week scan so I will at least have a scan pic to show her if all goes well. X

1992EM · 21/02/2021 14:39

@lockdownbaby that would be so cute. Someone else in my family is due their scan around then and I just don't want to take away from their experience either so don't no wither to hold of until 12 weeks. X

@1992EM oh that's a tough one, yeah you don't want to take away from their moment do you. Unless you just told your mum? Then tell everyone else at 12 weeks, that's my plan I think xx

Gabby1234 · 21/02/2021 15:20

@els10 congratulations! I think brown blood isn't too worrying, like others have said it's red blood the doctors look out for. I got referred to check HCG by my GP last time I was pregnant (didn't unfortunately work out) because I went in with some one sided pain. So maybe call and ask?

Gabby1234 · 21/02/2021 15:23

@1992EM 12 weeks seems like forever doesn't it! I'm rubbish at holding out. I think I'll wait to tell most of my friends and work mates until then, but will tell a few more very close people once I have my 7 or 9 week scan. I've been reading and apparently if all is good at 9 weeks then the chances of something going wrong decrease dramatically. That's why my clinic discharge you after that scan I think.

treesall · 21/02/2021 15:32

Hello, can I join you all? I got a faint bfp yesterday at 10dpo.

Il not feeling very hopeful. I had a mmc last year which dragged on for several weeks, then had one full cycle, and then have had positive tests each cycle for the last 3 months. The first was a chemical and last month I had an early loss at about 5.5 weeks, so I feel it's inevitable this one will go the same way. Desperately hoping it doesn't though!

Congratulations to all of you x

1992EM · 21/02/2021 15:42

@Gabby1234 that is a good idea. I have read after 6 weeks the risk drops too and then even more the closer you get to 12 weeks. 12 weeks seems like a lifetime away . I am hoping it goes quickly and all is well for us all x
@lockdownbaby I know , I might . I really just want to get to 6 weeks and then will see how I feel . ❤
@treesall Congratulations ❤ hopefully this one is a sticky bean 💕

Congratulations @treesall, I had a mmc which dragged on for weeks too, and over Christmas which was shit!

Will your gp give you any advice or help seeing as you've essentially had 3 miscarriages/pregnancy losses, and in a row?

lockdownbabyx · 21/02/2021 16:12

@treesall sorry to hear of your losses, I too have had 3 so far. I had a chemical last month and spoke to my doctor, he said it's going to be a while before I can be tested. I didn't want to wait as I wanted to try again this cycle, but I wanted to try anything I could to prevent another loss. I researched low dose aspirin and it's often given to women who have had recurrent miscarriages, from what I've read and heard it's quiet successful for a lot of women. I spoke to my doctor again and the EPU and both said it wouldn't do me any harm to try. It's still early days for me as I'm only 4 weeks, but so far so good. Each of my pregnancy's I have always spotted from the get go, I've had nothing as of yet 🤞🏼. Just a suggestion, but I would get advise from your doctor before taking any medication xxx

mamaatthegym · 21/02/2021 17:50

Anyone having quite a bit more CM (sorry if TMI!) than usual? Mines ramped up but I was on my feet a lot yesterday and felt it then.

Keep knicker-checking!

Thinking of those who have had lossesFlowers the anxiety is real! I had 2 before we got DD and even though DD’s pregnancy was faultless I still can’t enjoy the early stages. X

1992EM · 21/02/2021 17:53

@mamaatthegym I have read that is normal. I have more discharge but more like what you get at ovulation time. There isn't a massive amount but still more than I usually get and definitely more if I have exercised x

OP posts:
treesall · 21/02/2021 18:45

Sorry you had a drawn out mc too @Garman, awful isn't it?

I spoke to my gp after last month. She did initial blood tests which all came back clear, so has referred me to a gynae but expect that to take several months (at least!). If this pregnancy fails, we will go for some private investigations I think.

Thank you @lockdownbabyx. I'm sorry to hear of your losses. I have read about baby aspirin but hadn't really thought about taking it without being told to. I'll read about it and maybe ring the gp or EPU to ask their thoughts.

@mamaatthegym I def have a bit more because I keep thinking OMG I'm bleeding. I've had that in all my pregnancies (including my first, easy and successful one) so I think it's normal.

lockdownbabyx · 21/02/2021 18:49

@treesall yes I wouldn't take it with speaking to a doctor, definitely worth looking into. Some people start taking it when they get their bfp and some start at ovulation which is what I did. I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy 😬 xx

Gabby1234 · 21/02/2021 19:18

@treesall sorry about your losses, it's just awful, I've never had anything go wrong past 6 weeks so can't imagine how hard a MMC must be. I'm on IVF pregnancy number 2 (have a 16mo from the first one) and the clinic prescribe everyone a daily blood thinning injection which essentially does the same job as asprin I think - avoids clotting which is what happens when you lose your uterine lining. Definitely chat to your GP about it. Here's hoping for a safe and healthy next few weeks and months!

1992EM · 23/02/2021 20:03

How are we all ? X

OP posts:
treesall · 23/02/2021 20:10

I'm ok thanks @1992EM. Massively on edge and still fully expecting to start bleeding in the next few days but trying to hope for the best.

I feel like I had a little bit (not much but something!) of progression on my test today so trying to cling onto hope.

treesall · 23/02/2021 20:12

How are you @1992EM ?

Garman · 23/02/2021 20:13

Much the same as @treesall! I have no symptoms which just feels bizarre and so unlike my other early pregnancy experiences. Keep expecting to start bleeding. Killing time until I contact gp in about 2.5 weeks!

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 20:24

Evening all, I'm not too bad thank you @1992EM. Am 4+2 and had the tiniest amount of spotting yesterday, don't even know if can call it that as it was barely there, but of course I panicked 🤦🏻‍♀️. Had bloods done today and they were 1072, going back for the next lot on Thursday! Hopefully they have doubled ☺️.

1992EM · 23/02/2021 20:33

@treesall fingers crossed , wait a couple of days and test again the test will take a couple of days to become darker. I am good , just anxious and desperate to get through this trimester and know all is ok.
@garman I don't have many symptoms either . I feel really bloated and gassy tonight and not much else. I kind of want morning sickness to confirm .
@lockdownbaby that sounds like a good reading. I am hoping i get my bloods done tomorrow as they are taking them anyway.

I am 5 weeks on Thursday. So hoping symptoms start 🤣.

OP posts:
1992EM · 23/02/2021 20:36

@lockdownbaby can I ask where you got your bloods done? Was it your Gp and how quickly did you get results ? X

OP posts:
Garman · 23/02/2021 20:37

I wouldn't be so hasty to wish morning sickness on yourself! I had such terrible nausea with my first and third pregnancies, it was so draining and constant.

Literally my only symptom is no af, so weird!

@lockdownbabyx sorry to hear you had that stress, I have no idea about hcg amounts or what that number means but hope that's a good number!

lockdownbabyx · 23/02/2021 20:42

@treesall I called my GP and they got me in at 11am, I then called for my results at 5 and they had them. I've recently moved though, back in thursday for the second lot and hoping I get them back the same day .
If they're taking your blood I would imagine they would check the HCG anyway? Maybe ask if you can go back and have repeat tests done to to reassure you?
