@Monstermunch87 that's fab, congratulations! Love seeing baby on a scan. I got my letter through today for my next one when I'll be exactly 21 weeks.

Trying4baby2021 · 28/03/2021 09:09

Hello all, I've stumbled on this thread, I'm currently 15+5 due on 14th of September ☺️
I have definitely got baby brain already and also hormone headaches for the last week. Is anyone else suffering with the headaches ? Nothing seems to help. All worth it for this little guy/girl Grin

Due Sept/Oct 2021
MrsTD88 · 28/03/2021 09:31

@Trying4baby2021 congratulations, what a fab scan! I have had terrible headaches, my midwife thinks it could be dehydration but I cannot physically drink any more in a day. Hoping it starts to ease soon.

LunaDreams · 28/03/2021 09:40

@Trying4baby2021 I'm also getting terrible headaches, verging on migraines sometimes. I sleep fairly well, drink loads and loads of water and do stretches to make sure it's not muscle tension but it barely helps. Fortunately they are not every day but they are frequent enough!

I also definitely have baby brain..I went for a walk with a friend yesterday and she thanked me for buying her coffee to my surprise. I seriously thought she had brought them as had zero recollection of it Confused

Kate105 · 28/03/2021 09:52

Another one for hideous headaches! I'm drinking 3L of water a day to try and combat the constipation (another joy) so not really sure I can fit in any more water!

Aozora13 · 28/03/2021 09:56

Funnily enough I’ve been getting headaches too! Much more so than previous pregnancies. I’m trying to drink more too but already sloshing around! I wonder if for me it’s maybe WFH getting less fresh air/sitting down more, bad posture and too much bloody squinting down stupid video calls. Any remedies welcome Smile

I think this could be linked to mine too. I was in the office 3 days last week (in a room on my own) and although more tired I didn't have any headaches! I've pushed to be in the office more as I just cannot keep up with the admin at home so hopefully that helps.
Monstermunch87 · 28/03/2021 12:38

I’m back in work now (teacher) and weirdly my symptoms have been better since I’ve been back. I tend to get the sickness and stomach aches at the weekends when I’m at home. Not enjoying climbing 2 flights of stairs whilst wearing a mask though- I am so out of breath by the top, I feel so unfit Shock

Kate105 · 28/03/2021 19:40

@Monstermunch87 I'm also a teacher and I've definitely felt better since I've been back! Maybe it's the psychological effect of having to force yourself to get up and go in?! I feel your pain with the stairs... I'm huffing and puffing like I smoke 20 a day by the time I get to the top floor!

Mrsserenalewis · 03/04/2021 11:25

Hello lovely, just catch up on your post. How far are you all now. Who has bumps. How was your scans. Who’s midwife appointment is coming up.

I have my first midwife appointment on the 12th

They moved my due date forward though the date seems impossible but I guess less time to wait. Now due 28th September. Due a scan around 16 weeks.
Currently now 14+4

Any cravings. Mine seem to be peas and Nando’s sauce 🙈

Still struggling to feel excited. Anyone else x

Mrsserenalewis · 03/04/2021 11:28

Anyone tried the sneak peek test? X

OP posts:
Moominmiss · 03/04/2021 11:46

@Mrsserenalewis, kind of exciting that your due date got moved earlier! Like you said just means less time to wait!

I’m currently 15+5. Have my 16 week midwife appointment on Thursday and then have a private scan booked for next weekend at 16+6.

I’ve had my 20 week appointment come through for the end of the month when I’ll be 19+4 so a little nervous about that.

This is baby number 4 for me so I do have quite a pronounced bump. I’m bigger already than I was at 20 weeks with my third. I’ve been in maternity jeans since about 10/11 weeks. Have felt the odd flutter too for the last couple of weeks.

I’ve not done the sneak peak test but did have a nipt test where we opted to find out the gender.

Xx

That a lovely gap between appointments and scans. Helps to keep the excitement.

I saw. Bet it’s lovely to be able to buy boys clothes 🥰

Aww I bet that was so nice to feel the flutters. This is my 5th pregnancy. I have a more of a kangaroo pouch. I want to look more pregnant than fat 🙈🙈 awkward middle stage.

We are currently working on names x

OP posts:
Moominmiss · 03/04/2021 12:06

@Mrsserenalewis I needed something in between my 12 week scan and 20 week scan. Otherwise the gap just seems too long!

It’s definitely going to be a different experience buying boy things after all girls!
I’ve bought a couple of bits so far. I think after buying girlie things for so many years I never found myself very drawn to boy clothes, so now if I see something I think is cute I’m just buying it. Otherwise I worry this baby will have not much to wear 😂

A couple of weeks ago I just looked a bit podgy rather than pregnant, but these last 2 weeks it’s definitely popped and has the roundness of a proper bump. Hopefully people won’t look at me just wondering if I’ve eaten all the pies now 😂

Are you thinking about doing the sneak park to find out the gender? Will you try to find out at the 20 week scan?

We had a girls and boys name all ready. So now we know what we’re having the boys name is sorted. My partner chose it and it uses family names from both sides as middle names so means a lot.

X

Mrsserenalewis · 03/04/2021 14:23

@Moominmiss
Absolutely agree. Makes time go quicker.

I could imagine. They have a lot more options for boys these days too. I’ve got two boys and a girl already. I’ll definitely find out

We have a few names lined up. We can not agree currently. We normally use family names as middle names.

Are your children excited for new baby x

Moominmiss · 03/04/2021 14:29

@Mrsserenalewis not too much longer to wait until your next scan when you will hopefully be able to find out 🤞🏻

Thankfully I like the name my partner has chosen. We’d agreed if it was a girl I’d pick a name, and if a boy he could pick. I’d have totally made him stick to the deal if it had been a girl so only fair I stick to it lol.

Yes, my girls are over the moon. My eldest cried (happy tears) when we told her. She’d been begging me to have another baby for months. We got the whole moment on video which is really special to watch back.

How about yours? We’re they happy? X

Kate105 · 03/04/2021 17:25

Ahhhhh @Mrsserenalewis they moved my date forward to the 28th as well! Although they moved me forward by 5 days which seems a lot... Mentally I'm still expecting an October arrival 😂

I can not wait to find out. We all think boy but my son thinks girl

It’s lovely you can agree on the name. Makes it more exciting having a name

My children are happy. Especially my daughter. I’m still coming to terms as wasn’t planned. Always a blessing

Do you have a feeling what you might be having x

OP posts:
Moominmiss · 17/04/2021 13:28

@Mrsserenalewis ahh a girl, how lovely! Congrats!!

We obviously found out the gender from the nipt test but I still had a well being scan booked for 16+6 where they also confirmed baby is definitely a boy lol.

Now just on the countdown until 30th for my 20 week scan!

Mrsserenalewis · 17/04/2021 15:49

Aww there so many lovely boys names. Not long untill your next scan. I have a well being scan next week when I’m 17 weeks away then 20week scan on the 11th. It’s nice having scan between isn’t it.

I think being at work makes the time go quicker x
