@Kiza this happened with my daughter. It was good to get an extra scan though 😁

Aozora13 · 25/03/2021 08:38

@Kiza no harm in getting to see baby again! I feel like pregnancy you’re just constantly providing bodily fluids at any opportunity!

@MrsTD88 ooh almost the same as me! I was 12w5d but they’re saying 13w3d now! Be nice to have a September baby as my DDs are August and October Smile NT is 2.2 which doctor google seems to think is in the normal range, especially as I’m that much further on (previously I was more like 11-12 weeks). But still going to be staring at my phone for the next couple of days as being 40 I’m automatically higher risk. What was yours?

Aozora13 · 25/03/2021 09:48

Update: my husband just let rip the stinkiest fart, which set me retching just as I was about to join a Zoom call, which caused me to burst into tears! Am a total preggo disaster area 🙊

MrsTD88 · 25/03/2021 09:58

@Aozora13 thank you for sharing. Mine was 1.8 so we are very close in measurements. I read anything under 3 (or 3.5 on some sites) is fine in the 13th week. I'm looking forward to a September baby, my daughter is June. I think my HCG will be high as I had vanishing twin so think that will put me in the higher risk bracket too. Either way we've decided to tell our daughter and close family tonight... had enough of being scared something is going to go wrong and want to start enjoying this pregnancy and the second trimester.

Re your update... I cry at everything just now. I am trying to embrace it 🤣

Moominmiss · 25/03/2021 10:01

Does anyone know what an ok NT measurement would be for 13+4?

When I had my scan it was measured to be 2.1. She told me that was in normal range but so many seem to get measurements that are 1 something that my 2.1 seemed high

LunaDreams · 25/03/2021 14:10

Hi everyone,

Can I join you? I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant with my first baby, with a due date of 30th September if going by measurements, and 1st October if going by dates!

Had my 12 week scan yesterday and sonographer said everything looked good. I didn't get my NT measurement as was so overwhelmed by seeing baby but sonographer said it all looked good.

Will I get more details in my results letter do you know?

Aozora13 · 25/03/2021 14:11

@MrsTD88 oh sorry to hear about the vanishing twin, must make the pregnancy bittersweet. I’m definitely feeling a positive mindset shift from “I’m pregnant until I’m not” to “I might actually be having a baby”. I’m sure telling the family will make it all seem real too, seeing how happy they are.

@Moominmiss you are 1 day ahead of me (according to the scan yesterday) and 0.1mm less on the NT! I think over 3 is considered high especially as we’re at the later end of the measurements. My other DC were under 2 I think but that was a week or so earlier. So hopefully all good!

Aozora13 · 25/03/2021 14:16

Oh hi @LunaDreams and congratulations! Sounds like we’re at a v similar stage - my EDD was also 1st Oct (hello Xmas day visit from AF) and had my scan yesterday.

In my trust they give you a scan report that goes in your notes and provides excellent google fodder! The sonographer didn’t actually say anything other than it all looked fine. I really can’t remember if the results letter has any more details or if it’s just the risk. But it might be different in different hospitals.

Turtle79 · 25/03/2021 15:05

Hello! I'm totally new here, came on as I feel I could use some support and chat as I'm def feeling isolated!

I'm 10 weeks-ish and feeling awful! The last 2 days I've barely got off the couch and can't eat a thing. Plus I found out last week at an early scan (booked because I looked further on) that I have a massive fibroid. That's pretty painful and of course, I'm worried what it will mean for the pregnancy and baby. I know I should check out fibroid threads for specifics with that... but I wanted to say hi and introduce myself, all being well I'm due around mid-October :)

MrsTD88 · 25/03/2021 16:06

Welcome @LunaDreams and congratulations. It is so exciting to get past that scan isn't it.

@Aozora13 thank you, if I didn't have an early scan because of a previous ectopic I'd never have known so trying to look at it that way and live in denial.

@Momminmiss I agree with Aozora, you are well within the normal range. Try not to compare to others, there is such a broad range of normal and it depends how far along you are.

Hey @Turtle79 congratulations on your pregnancy. Have you spoken to your midwife about the fibroid? She may be able to offer some advice.

Moominmiss · 25/03/2021 16:22

@Aozora13 I actually had my scan last Friday so am currently 14+3 now.

But I was 13+4 on the Friday I had my scan done when I got the 2.1 measurement. I didn’t think to ask how the timing affects the measurement, so whether you’d expect perhaps a smaller NT at 12 weeks than you would at nearly 14 weeks.

I can’t remember what my other pregnancies measurements were. I just know my overall results were very very low risk.

I didn’t go for the nhs combined screening this time though as I had the private nipt done so waiting on those results still.

@MrsTD88 thank you, yes I know you’re right, and comparing one to the other just isn’t sensible. I will try to relax for now as I know my measurement was within the normal range.

Aozora13 · 25/03/2021 18:46

@Moominmiss ah ok you’re further ahead than me. Anyway I learned yesterday that the NT is looked at in relation to the crown-to-rump measurements so if you’re further along then it’ll likely be bigger, although we’re talking mm so really tiny still. I can see why you didn’t bother with the screening if you’re waiting on NIPT - do you know when you’ll get your results?

Moominmiss · 25/03/2021 19:02

@Aozora13 yeah I did have a google earlier of nt measurements and crl measurements 😂

All seemed well within normal ranges but I definitely need to step away from google!

I’ve been told my results should be in by 29th which is Monday. But they could come in anytime between now and then so I’m just on tenterhooks every time my phone rings!

Moominmiss · 26/03/2021 16:30

My NIPT results came in today, I was shaking with nerves as I answered the phone.

But thankfully results are low risk 1:100,000 for all trisomies.

And I’ve found out that we’re having a boy 💙

I feel like I might be able to start relaxing a little now!!!

Bella6686 · 26/03/2021 16:51

@Moominmiss What fantastic news! Really happy to hear that. Congratulations!

Aozora13 · 26/03/2021 17:12

Hurrah and congratulations @Moominmiss time to start picking out boys names!

Kate105 · 26/03/2021 18:34

Fabulous news @Moominmiss congratulations! I had my 12 week scan today which has turned out to be my 13 week scan 😂 my NT is also 2.1 at 13+3 weeks and they said that was absolutely fine x

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 05:23

Congratulations @Moominmiss what a relief for you! I am (im)patiently waiting for my combined screening results. NT measurement was 1.8 at 13+2 so looking good so far 🤞🏻

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 05:24

@Kate105 our due dates must be very close... mine is 27 September X

LunaDreams · 27/03/2021 06:52

Great news @Moominmiss. What a relief! And so lovely to know you're having a little boy!

Kate105 · 27/03/2021 08:12

Yes! @MrsTD88 my new due date is 28th Sept! Eeek!

Moominmiss · 27/03/2021 08:31

Thanks s as . It’s been a huge relief, and after keeping it to ourselves since I found out at just over 3 weeks, it feels pretty surreal now to have told family.

I keep referring to baby as it or baby, almost forgetting that we know it’s a he! Lol.

Feeling over the moon, on cloud 9, elated, all those things right now!!!

Congrats to anyone else that’s had their 12 week scans, and wishing all the luck to those that are due them shortly! Xxx

MrsTD88 · 27/03/2021 10:28

@Kate105 that's fab! So exciting. X

Monstermunch87 · 27/03/2021 13:19

I had my scan yesterday. All looking good fingers crossed. Such a wriggler!! They have revised me back 1 day so I’m now due 30th Oct. So exciting to see the little wriggler and get some pictures Smile

Monstermunch87 · 27/03/2021 13:20

Sorry that should say 30th Sept! Anyone else getting baby brain already? Confused
