Congratulations to all the new mums - I'm so pleased and excited everytime I see a baby has arrived 🥰

It's so exciting that the babies are arriving now!!

I've got my last day of work next week and I'm so excited to rest, really counting down the days 😁😁 xx

@Babydust2412 could just be a show however I'd ring mw or unit to be safe. Make sure it's nothing else.

@TeaPiglet I'm going to ring if it carries on, it's such a small amount, not even enough to go onto a pad at all just when I wipe xx

@Babydust2412 is it constantly when you wipe or just every so often?

@TeaPiglet just every so often over the past hour or so xx
It's basically just a very small amount of spotting x

@babydust2412 looks like you won't need that sweep after all 🤞 thats the show when mucus plug moves away, sometimes the mucus is mixed with blood or it can just trickle down like fresh blood (small amount)
Are you having any contractions?

@Safxxx no contractions yet 😩 just period like cramps still xx not sure whether to ring the unit about the blood but it was such a small amount they'll likely just tell me to keep an eye on it and call back if it gets worse xx

@babbit87 oh I’m definitely showing signs but labor just isn’t coming.. now I’m a ftm so I don’t really know what to expect as far as labor goes but I definitely think iv been showing early signs of labor for like 24 hours now.. it started with me losing my mucus plug yesterday afternoon and then since about 4 this morning iv been really crampy had some pelvic pressure and even some slight lower back pains but none of it is becoming more frequent or more intense..

It’s getting a little frustrating for me because I don’t know whether to tell dh to go ahead and start his leave or to just send him to work.. I don’t want to be wrong and him get in trouble with his job..

@babydust2412 i suppose i had contractions then the show. Everyones diffrent.
But its definetely starting off with you hopefuly contractions will start.
The stages do vary.
Just to put your mind at ease ring the Assesment unit or your MW and tell them, they will give you advice. Most likely its a waiting game from here onwards. Goodluck hope things do progress. Xx

@Lnbarne in UK paternity can only start once baby is actually earth side however if he's annual leave to use then he could use that if he's got a fair amount

@TeaPiglet he gets an unpaid paternity leave through work but they have tricky rules it can’t start until I’m actually in labor and I can’t guarantee that I am in early labor definitely not active labor..

The blood is just a brownish colour now, nothing fresh so I think all is normal x

@babydust2412 I also lost some blood but mine was mixed with the mucus.. glad to hear everything is ok with you!!

@babydust2412 I had that show after oh and I did the deed that was quite a bit of bloody mucus for 2-3 days then nothing so I think it was the mucus plug

So uncomfortable 😣 all day been getting tightness, and baby has dropped down so the pelvic area hurts abit, got lower back pain and so much pressure on my bladder, and down there too. I guess its the position of the baby, few days ago he stayed higher and that was just as uncomfortable.
Will be another sleepless night 😩

I’m due on Sunday - was offered induction at my latest appt on Wednesday there (consultant led care for various minor issues that have cropped up) but declined as there’s no reason for me to be induced so soon (was induced with my son and although it wasn’t a bad experience I’d just rather go naturally if possible). Hoping baby appears soon, although I have had no signs whatsoever so may be in for the long haul!

Gosh it sounds like a lot of you ladies are getting close! @Safxxx if he’s dropped down he must be getting ready too. Hope you all manage to get some rest! X xx

Iv been on four walks today been on and off the birthing ball still no progress.. is this normal?

@017HF yeah i believe we should give nature a chance before intervention. Hopefuly all goes well for you. Xx

@safxxx I’m just getting concerned bc my mother had issues progressing her labor had to have pitocin with all three kids and in 24 hrs it’s like I feel like I’m making no progress whatsoever..

@Lnbarne sorry i forgot but are you over due? First baby? And think you said you had 1 sweep?
