@Lnbarne just keep active hun, it's frustrating but could still be days or hours yet. Do your contractions stop or change in any way when you move compared to being stationary?

@Safxxx not overdue yet one sweep first baby but it’s like iv been cramping and contracting for like 24 hours just not progressing into a regular pattern. Just wanted to know if that is a normal thing bc again my mother ran into this issue with all three of her pregnancies..
@TeaPiglet no the contractions haven’t changed at all no matter what I do they don’t stop or go away completely nor get frequent or worse it’s kinda like my body is just at a standstill in this suckfest lol I haven’t been able to rest hardly at all bc I’m so uncomfortable when I try to lay down

I'm due today and had ZERO signs not a single contraction, no plug nothing 😭

@Lnbarne I know it's 💩 but just try to keep calm and that's your best chance of things happening. Unfortunately early labour can take a long time as a ftm so wouldn't be too concerned yet every pregnancy and woman is different so try not to get too hung up on your mums experiences as you're different and things change. We're here for you to vent though, just trust your body to do this when it's ready

@Lnbarne relax hun let your body do the work, i understand your worried you will end up like your mum, but hopefuly you won't. You could ask for another sweep and see how that goes, and remember going 2wks over due date is still fine. So theres still time till then for you to go into natural labour. Xx

@Sam042017 don't speak too soon lol things can change. The due dates are a estimate so can vary, good news is your not far from meeting baby 🤞

Thanks this is true I'm trying not to get hung up or stressed over it and telling myself he will come when he's ready x

@Lnbarne I feel for you hun its awful when you can't get comfy and frustrating when it feels like nothing is moving onwards. Unfortunately when it come to labour and pregnancy there really is no 'normal' as such, every woman and every pregnancy is unique. I can vouch for that as third time round and all 3 have been completely different experiences so far! Hang in there and just do what you can to treat yourself as much as possible to help you relax. IME slightly slower labour is preferable to too fast, as it gives your body and mind more time to prepare. Took me a good 3 days to get over shock of DC2 as he shot out so fast - left me mildly traumatised! 🤭 much nicer with DC1 when it was slower and I felt more in control. HTH xx

@Lnbarne I was having irregular 'mild' contractions for 2 days before it got going with my first. It was so frustrating and tiring. I walked up and down the stairs all day, bounced on the ball, etc etc but it just took as long as it took. Hang on in there!

@babbit87 definetley every pregnancy is diffrent experience

Cannot sleep a wink! Want to kick DH snoring away next to me haha! Poor love. Also getting tightenings and low down pressure but doubt it will come to anything.

@babbit87 its so frustrating when we can't sleep and they snore away lol.
Snap we have the same symptoms but i won't hold my breath till i get more signs lol
Think its braxton hicks at its worst 😩

Thanks for all the words of encouragement.. sorry if I’m seeming like a baby to some or all of you.. iv just had my last walk of the day and nice warm bath also took something to hopefully help me sleep.. I don’t think my body and mind could even go through active labor and delivery right now I’m just literally spent..

@Lnbarne Awe bless you, we all can understand the frustrations, what ever number pregnancy were all at we can still relate to each other in one way or another. Get some rest, hope you get some sleep, and try not to stress anymore just go with the flow....we have kept these munchkins in our wombs for nearly 9mths a few more days or wks won't hurt...goodnight Xxx

I’m up feeding Leila, I feel for you ladies! This time last week I was lying on the theatre table and Leila was 8 minutes from being born, can’t believe how quick the week has gone x

Wide awake and starving at 4.30 in the morning, can't resist any longer and going to get up and have some cereal 😂

@Char41Zam I hear you. Been up feeding Isabella, can't believe she's only been here a day, can't imagine life without her! Currently having some lovely sleepy cuddles to keep her calm 🥰

@jbx10 I was always hungry in the night too!
@pampero I can’t imagine my life without her now either, sleepy cuddles are the best, I unfortunately had sicky cuddles lol fed her and winded her and she decided to give me a present x

Haha we've so far avoided the sick, but those first nappy 'treats' she has nailed! 🤣

@pampero we have gone past the meconium ones now and it was what looked like Korma tonight 🤢 totally delightful! Lol

@jbx10 I'm shocked she's here, I always thought first babies were late but apparently she thought otherwise! I was only supposed to finish work yesterday 🤣

@pampero they just turn up when they want to dont they! Were you back home from the hospital quite quickly? Xx

@jbx10 yep managed to get home the same day thankfully. She was born around 330 am, then I went to the postnatal ward probably about 8ish 0r so and was discharged by about 5 once all mine and babies checks were complete. Had a really good experience from start to end despite covid

@pampero that's great & really reassuring too. Glad you & baby are all well and back home ❤️
