@Dorset555 good luck!! ❤️ glad your feeling calm & relaxed, your right trust your body!

Definitely something in the air today I'm feeling everyone's frustrations too trying my best to stay positive. I am so glad the general Covid figures are going down though & they are getting through the vaccinations hopefully we will be able to have normal maternity leave soon 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Dorset555 · 14/02/2021 19:28

Thanks so much guys...just got to get myself into labour now! I thought as soon as your waters break you were in labour! Will be induced at 9am tomorrow if I've not progressed before then...having some pains but not convinced they are contractions...I'm guessing you can't.miss a true contractions? Either way I'm grateful to be on the way to meeting my baby and if it doesn't go as I'd ideally planned then so be it! Will let you all know how things pan out...Good luck to all! X

Safxxx · 14/02/2021 20:05

Bath helped alittle, hubby bought us a McDonald's fish o fillet meal with strawberry milkshake 😋 which i was craving lol.
@TeaPiglet your plans sounds lovely enjoy your meal Xx

@Dorset555 yeah need the strong contractions to progress further, usually if nothing progresses in 24hrs they induce you. You still have time, hopefuly things pick up for you tonight 🤞

TeaPiglet · 14/02/2021 20:56

Best bit about valentines when pregnant is definitely all the foot rubs 😍 anyone else get proper sore feet even when they've rested a lot?

Summerrp · 14/02/2021 21:05

@TeaPiglet ohhh yes!! My feet feel like I have run a marathon. Its annoying me because I like to walk the stairs and this is stopping me. Strange as they arnt swollen at all

Safxxx · 14/02/2021 21:19

Yeah feet hurt at times, i usualy soak them with bath salts. At night they get so hot have to keep them out of duvet.

TeaPiglet · 14/02/2021 22:59

@Safxxx I can't do that! The monsters will get my feet haha. I've watched too many horrors. I don't pull the plug out while I'm still in the bath either

Safxxx · 14/02/2021 23:07

@TeaPiglet lol you serious? Well i got no choice as they burn up in the night, i also keep the ceiling fan on low, as i feel hot thru out. I been getting hot flushes at daytimes too.
Think my oven is hot enough yet baby is not getting out 🤣

Clockspanner · 15/02/2021 07:21

Argh you'd think by baby 3 you'd know when you were in labour properly but I'm sat here so confused. Been having what I think are contractions over night but so infrequent.. maybe every half an hour?! And whilst uncomfortable aren't yet painful.. but have a definite rise peak and fall over around 20 seconds. So nowhere near active labour. Also back pain like period pain. So I feel like this might be the start but also from what I've read like this could go on a long time. No idea if I should be sorting childcare or letting DH go to work Confused

TeaPiglet · 15/02/2021 07:28

@ClockSpanner it sounds like you could be to me, I'd be sorting childcare so you can focus on labour or get some proper rest of they do stop. I'd have to let DH go to work though as he'd be doing my head in until I know I'm in labour haha. Can he get back quite quickly?

Clockspanner · 15/02/2021 08:06

@teapiglet yep gone for what you've said.. DH off to work as it doesn't feel imminent and my mum will come over sometime this morning. DH about 25 mins away so not too bad. I'm still not sure this is it or if I'm just in for days of disappointment. It is weird..!

jbx10 · 15/02/2021 08:44

@Dorset555 hope everything okay & you were able to progress through the evening! 🤞🏽❤️

@Clockspanner exciting! Definitely sounds like things are moving for you xx

Summerrp · 15/02/2021 10:02

Morning all, up most of the night with cramps between sleep

Since around 5am have been having regular tightenings followed by cramps lasting around 50 seconds. They are coming every 3 or 4 mins like clockwork

The contactrion app has told me to go to hospital but I feel the pain will get alot more intense so holding out as I dont want to be sent home

Feeling excited just hope it keeps up

Muriel84 · 15/02/2021 10:24

@Clockspanner I was exactly the same during the night. Kept lying awake wonder if this was it, waiting for the next one and dozing off only to get woken up again. Similar length in waves lasting 20 seconds, with lower back pain and pelvic pain. Bit more frequent. Gave up at 7 and got up to eat something and go for a walk. Now just have some crampy pains and lower back pains but milder. Completely clueless as to what’s going on! Baby was also moving quite a lot adding to discomfort. These on/off symptoms are so frustrating. X x x

Muriel84 · 15/02/2021 10:24

Do things often pick up at night then settle in the day?

babbit87 · 15/02/2021 10:55

Well after a dramatic entrance baby girl Brooke was born at 2.06am on 15th Feb weighing in at 7lb 7oz at 39+6 weeks!!!

I kid you not only 1 hour and 20 mins from first "hmm I think this is a real contraction?!" To holding her in my arms. Very quick dash to the hospital waters broke in the car and was crowning, desperately trying to hold her in, wheelchaired in by nurse out the front on her fag break (ha!), on the bed, fully dilated and out in 2 big pushes, just had time for a quick gulp of gas and air. Relaxing now in the birth centre under observation for 12 hours as there was no time for antibiotics needed for GBS, poor dh gone home for a nap and to sort out the car.... third babies are FAST. I was literally shaking with shock for hours after. So pleased she's here she's a beaut 😍

Due Feb 2021 - the one they are finally born 🍀✨
babbit87 · 15/02/2021 10:57

There's hope for all you mamas having on off symptoms, as annoying as they are - I had them for days and it made for a quick labour when it was really happening!!

KB13 · 15/02/2021 11:03

I’ve been watching this thread for a while as I’m due the 4th March but it’s 3rd baby so hoping he comes in February. @babbit87 your labour was every single nightmare I have had for the last few weeks. My 1st labour was 8 hours, 2nd 6 hours so expecting this one to be quicker 😬 Congratulations she is gorgeous ❤️

017HF · 15/02/2021 11:07

Still here and hanging on - 40+8 today and no signs whatsoever - booked in tomorrow night at 9pm to start induction process so will have a baby one way or another fairly soon hopefully!

Good luck everyone who has symptoms - hopefully quick labours all round!

Congratulations @babbit87 - she’s beautiful x

babbit87 · 15/02/2021 11:11

@KB13 honestly, I went to bed at 10.30pm with no symptoms whatsoever..... 1.45am just did my usual nighttime trip to the loo and whoosh. Really took me by surprise. Thought I was going to have to abandon other dc to the neighbours but thankfully MIL got there in 10 mins.

babbit87 · 15/02/2021 11:12

Not 1.45, 00.45 sorry

Stef92 · 15/02/2021 11:28

Congrats @babbit87 💜

LBoz39 · 15/02/2021 11:38

Congratulations @babbit87 ⚘🥳
Sounds like you just made it in time, what a story to tell her when she's older

Muriel84 · 15/02/2021 11:57

@babbit87 oh wow! Massive congrats! That was super quick! She’s gorgeous x x x thank you for the reassurance about on/off symptoms!

Clockspanner · 15/02/2021 12:16

Oh my goodness @babbit87! Congratulations and what a story! She is beautiful. And as @Muriel84 says gives me a bit of hope.. Nothing going on here apart from the back ache feeling and 2 random tiny contractions like feelings when I laid down again. What about you @muriel84?
Good luck @Summerrp, sounds like baby is coming for you!
