Every evening I seem to feel quite positive that somethings going to happen that night...then deflated in the morning. I've got a sweep on weds but can't actually see how I'm going to be able to make it that far...tomorrow seems years away! Hopefully this will all be a distant memory for us all soon! Feel bad about wishing time away but come on baby please!

@Dorset555 @Muriel84 it definitely makes things harder that we have nothing to do to take our mind off the wait! At least if we could go to the cinema or out for a meal it would help! Try keep positive. We've come this far it will all be worth it ❤️

Hi all sorry I'm very late to join, first baby was due 12th Feb. I had a sweep Friday and she said she just reached my cervix, my Bishop score was only a 2 I came home sat on ball and cried.
Have been having pains for about 3 hours every night for about 2 weeks now and wake up to nothing. Feeling so disheartened and fed up.

They have booked induction for 24th but I'm really hoping to go into the birthing centre. Every day feels a lifetime now

@jbx10 @Dorset555 thank you 🙏 think I’m just having one of those days. Decided to go through baby clothes which is difficult cos most are still in boxes though organised into sizes. Had a freak out that I’ve not got enough newborn clothes. Feel a bit all over the place which is very unlike me. I know it’s awful wishing time away. Really trying to make the most of these last few days to myself but it is ever so hard. X x x

@Muriel84 I had the same panic about newborn clothes so ordered more now I feel like I have loads and hope she doesn't end up a big baby 😂 we all have those days it's only normal when we are so excited to meet our little ones. Just think these will be the last few days where baby is just all yours in there, feeling every kick & movement between the two of you ❤️ try enjoy the last few days of that. I know it can be hard when it feels like they're mastering Kung fu in there 😂

@Muriel84 we had one set of newborn stuff as he was meant to be a big baby but had to dash to the shops when he turned out to be a short ass like me 😂 at least with lockdown, nobody will judge if baby stays in the same clean babygrow for more than a day as nobody will be seeing them!

@jbx10 aww I had the same thing but now I feel like it’s going to be on the smaller side. So much uncertainty! I’ve just ordered a few bits. Try and make myself feel better by panic buying 🙈 Yeah you’re so right need to try and enjoy this time. Going to go for a walk and have a soak in the bath.

@Thegirlhasnoname aww it’s so hard to know. We have a sainsbury 10 min walk away so can always pop there to pick up emergency new born size if needed! Xxx

Thought it was only me panicking over baby clothes, i went Asda yesterday evening and bought few outfits, washed and ironed them, its crazy is'nt it? Before all this all was sorted and put away did'nt think i'll need more. Guess its frustration and nothing else to do....after only getting 1 hour sleep this morning i was so fed up, so went out for 1 n half hours walk in the park, got back feeling very cold and achy lol but glad i did it or else would have felt miserable.
I know your all in the same boat lets hang on to the hope of having our babies in our arms soon ❤

@Summerrp Awe don't be disheartened as you can tell on this thread were all getting frustrated now, its the whole situation with covid, not seeing loved ones, nothing much to do outside etc can be hard, so were focusing more on the birth day, gives us something to look foward to ehh. Hang on there hopefuly not long left for all of us now 🤞

Update from me...my waters have broken! Think the last rant from me tipped my body over the edge😂
Just on my way back from hospital now..if I don't go into labour my 9am I have to come to the birth centre..fingers crossed everything is progressing!
Weird thing is...I feel very calm ...I think I need to learn to trust my body and that it knows when the right time is. Last week I was freaking out about labour...but I guess my body wasn't ready and producing the right hormones ...now it feels calm and right! ...let's give it a few hours sure I'll be a mess by then!!! Good luck and stay positive allxx

@Safxxx Oh that's most definitely not helping the situation, almost feel imprisoned. Can't just pop to my sisters or go for a browse around the shops.

I have to keep reminding myself he will come when he is good and ready and I'm only 2 days overdue. My body playing tricks for the last few weeks hasn't helped. People say rest while you can but I'm just to uncomfortable to sleep or rest at this stage. Moan moan moan haha

Hi there, was looking for some advice. My cycle is usually 32 days and this month i realised I’m now 2 days late as I was due to start on Friday. Not sure if I should test as don’t want to get my hopes up. I’ve been having cramp and tender breasts so been thinking my period is about to start but still waiting.. anyone have any advice? X

@dogloverxo you need a different thread, this is for women who are having babies like now haha. Personally though I recommend waiting until your cycle has been missed completely as that's when companies count you are being late

@Dogloverxo i'll give it another week before you go testing. Pop into poundland they do pack of 2 tests for a £1 and are reliable. Good luck 🤞

@Dogloverxo yeah give it a bit more time as its unlikely any OTC pg test would pick it up this early (dc2 period was 3 days late just before Christmas hols (booze fest) so HAD to know - 2 false negatives but felt it in my blood - drs one showed it up!)

Definitely something in the air today, I've been feeling impatient, moany, bit down, despite it being valentines and having nice flowers and chocs (well done dh 👏) think its the weather - we need a bit of sunshine not all this grey drizzle!!!

Still no real signs for me, tiniest bit of plug but nothing to get excited about. Focusing on my sweep on Wednesday at 40+1🤞 planning an evening walk if its not piddling it down

I went out for a walk and feel so much better now. Having my daily clary sage soak to chill out. still zero signs today after four days of worsening cramps, braxton hicks and losing my plug 🤷‍♀️ who knows what’s going on. Baby’s decided to stay put. X x x

I've been feeling a bit tearful today, must be something in the air and mixed with frustration and tiredness, I've been down on my hands and knees cleaning skirting boards this morning and batch cooking loads of food for the freezer just to keep me occupied, hoping I feel a bit better tomorrow.

Goodness must be the sunday blues..
We all seem so down. I'm filling up the bath now, hope it relaxes me 🤞

I've been tearful too but hoping a nice romantic meal will cheer me up. DH is currently bathing DD ready for bed then I'm doing a simple three courses for us. Yummy Doughballs to start, steak for him and fish for me with sweet potato fries and steamed greens for main and my specialty choccy brownie and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Shame its a non alcoholic bottle of wine though haha. Wouldve loved a nice crisp white 🥰
