Hi guys hope everyone is well!! It’s been a pretty busy few days so sorry for all that I have missed with you ladies!! Congrats to all the mamas who’ve had babies thus far and hang in there for all the mamas that are still waiting it is so worth the wait!! Baby and I are doing fine we left the hospital yesterday afternoon and spent our first evening at home together. All has went well baby is feeding well my production is coming in well. She is a bit of a gassy baby.. any recommendations for that? First pediatric appointment this afternoon!! 😁😁

@Lnbarne Awe thats good to hear you both doing well and milk flow is good.
Most babies are quite gassy, best to burp them couple of times during feed. Xxx

@Lnbarne my DD was really gassy and we found infacol was the only thing that helped you can get from pharmacy or big supermarket on baby aisle

Also there's no further signs for me so I'm having a slimming world beef madras and chilli bhuna to try and speed this little one up

@TeaPiglet I've been eating curry, chilli and spicy stir fry all week, long walks and even DTD last night (as attractive an experience THAT was😳), cleaned the house top to bottom and mopped the floors...... come on baby get a move on!!!! Hope it works for you, think mine is a stubborn little one!! Haha

@babbit87 you'd have loved my rant then as DH for the past week keeps saying it'll help. I've tried a few times and I think it's a load of tosh started by a man to get some action 😂🙈

@babbit87 @TeaPiglet gosh you guys are brave! I had a Thai curry last Sunday and regretted it so much. Could still taste it Monday night the heartburn was awful! Can’t imagine DTD today either, everything feels so swollen and uncomfortable.

Been in the bath for two hours with cramps. This must lead to something... x x x

@Muriel84 I can assure you there was nothing brave about it! DTD was for 'medicinal purposes' 🤣

@Muriel84 hope your cramps lead to something, I've given up on looking for signs for now. I'll know when I know!!

Hi guys i just had my first sweet at 40+5 and she said I was 1cm dilated...i just wondered if anyone knew if this was encouraging? Or normal or gave any signs to when labour might kick off?
Sweeps are pretty uncomfortable aren't they?! But feels good to be taking positive steps!

@Dorset555 depends if its your first baby, it's a good sign if it's the first but early labour can take a while although everyone's different. If it's not your first then sometimes you might dialate quickly

@Dorset555 sounds encouraging to me! With my first I was 1.5cm at my sweep about 11am then contractions started about 2pm then tbh it felt like quite a long labour from then on but finally DC1 arrived 1pm next day. Get as much rest as you can incase it starts things off. Fingers crossed for you!

@Muriel84 its my 3rd but that doesn't matter I still don't know what I'm looking for to tell me its happening The back ache has returned for me too but I'm not feeling hopeful now I think its just baby's position and being tired! I hope yours is something more!

@Dorset555 I was 1cm too on Tuesday at my sweep! Having googled relentlessly since then I don’t think there’s much way of telling! I took it as a positive sign that she was able to do the sweep. She also said my cervix was long but soft and the baby was v low down, the sac was bulging through (lovely!) xxx

😂😂😂 @Muriel84 lovely indeed!! She said she felt my babies head! It seems very real suddenly...the baby has a head!
Its my first baby so hopefully its a good sign def not a bad sign anyway! Thanks @clockspanner and @teapiglet I'm def going to chill as much as possible now and sleep as much as I can...have acupuncture booked for tues and another sweep on weds but I'm really hoping things will be sorted by then!
Feels so good to have taken a step in the right direction though :-) fingers crossed everyone else gets the positive signs they want too :-)

I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. So l've taken to walking and seeing if that moves things along.

Spicy food off the menu for me, my heart burn is bad as it gets 😩
You guys are all heading in the right direction with your symptoms, i guess they just might drag on a bit before the big day.

@Safxxx I'm in same boat as you don't seem to be getting any symptoms or signs things are moving on. Has some mild period cramps last couple of mornings & nausea that's it! We still have some time before our due dates!

So glad things are progressing for so many of you ladies. Looks like we could be in for a busy valentines weekend!! Xx

On another note anyone else getting lightening crotch? I've been getting them on/off but getting more frequent now, everytime he wriggles or moves i feel sharp jabs down there 😲

OMG I’ve found you all! I’ve been searching for the June bus graduates thread to try and find you all. I took a break during the wait for the 12 week scan as I found that period quite hard and filled with anxiety as we had a bleed early on. Congratulations to those who have already had their babies! Mine is due on 23rd Feb and I’m still trying to walk 2 miles a day in the hope it means bubs will be on time!

And yes to lightening crotch! I've had it for a few weeks but it's definitely getting worse now. Even when I'm laid down if she moves I can get it 🙈
